18 Who lives in a tube deep under the sea? (POV)

"Professor Cambridge, the specimens in aquarium 4 are acting weird". A young man shouted while he ran towards a lady who sat in a chair and observed an octopus in an aquarium. The lady rose from her chair and turned around. She had green eyes, red hair and thin lips. Her face was pointy, and she was a bit pale, but that was usual when you lived under the sea for a while without real sunlight.

Annette Cambridge followed the man to the aquarium and read off some of the data the sensors had told and documented about the specimens in the tank. What was so special about the specimens in the tank you ask? Well for one thing, they were sea stars, and they were infected with some cancer cells. But the thing that was so amazing about them was that they were almost cured by now. But now they suddenly moved in all the directions they could while floating.

Anette went to a closet next to the aquarium, moved around on some stuff and took out a black pill, which she dropped in the aquarium. The sea stars calmed down as soon as the pill dissolved and after five minutes, there were no unusual movement in the aquarium. When Anette saw that, she walked back to her office while the man started to observe the other aquariums.

Anette Cambridge was one of the 15 scientist and necessary people for a project called "Atlantis". This was a project to see if it was safe to make buildings under the sea and do important research on the fauna and flora which was so deep down. Anette is an oceanographer who is focusing on beneficial effects fauna and flora can have for humans.

And for a while now, she has hidden a secret. She woke up one day with a screen floating in front of her. On it, it stood things about the future, and the present. Anette had gone to the med bay to find out if it was just a hallucination created by the lack of vitamins and fresh air, but she was quite healthy despite lacking some vitamins. After a while she started to ask the screen some questions, and it responded each time. She learned that the world would become a living hell, and that it would be dangerous to do anything as useless as warning people. Few would believe her if she said something like {People will die, then rise again to eat and turn other people. How I know this you ask, that is because a floating screen told me about it}. And few would believe if she said a new bacterium which caused this exists, because she would need proof, and she would have to have an in-depth education about many things about bacteria's and viruses and so on, which she did not.

She could try to evacuate to land, but she knew it would be very dangerous for a woman to be there, especially if since there were more people who could be turned into flesh eating beings there. The screen told Anette that she could modify any vehicles and base in the sea, as long as she had an idea and the necessary materials. Anette tried out a few things, and It worked, but she couldn't do much, since there were many people who could notice a difference in the base or her, so she camouflaged her work.

She made a few drones to gather metals and live objects later on when the apocalypse started, so that she could do more things. She also made a desalination machine to separate water and salt for their many uses.
