Chapter 5 Raptor Assault

To appease Erlina anger, Jo overed one of his fang short blade to her. He didn't know why he felt some guilt.

"Sorry for not telling you earlier." Jo picked one of his fang short blade to her.

"What it is? Are you bribe me?" Erlina said that, but her hand said otherwise.

She had already snatched the blade from his hand. Like woman got a jewelry, Erlina examined the short blade and tested it on the tree bark. She slashed the bark and the result was more that what she expected. The bark was sliced into two parts. She nodded and held the short blade tightly, like a merchant afraid the goods would be stolen.

Not only Jo, another member also dumbfounded by Erlina adorable action.

Jo just too tired to tease her. He let her had her moment with her new weapon. Indeed, primitive world more valued the usable item than the beautiful item.

While Jo admiring Erlina adorable side, his danger instinct suddenly kicked in. He looked at the team and saw them became more vigilant. Jo picked several blades and gave his team one blades per member. Erlina pouted, but she didn't say anything. Her instinct told her that danger would ambush her team any moments.

Just several minutes, huge group of dragon that similar to T-Rex but had body sizes same as horses.

-Shit! Raptor or whatever... This group of lizard had same nature with hyena. Really troublesome! -

The hunters immediately gathered to face the raptor attack.

When the battle almost started, Jo heard Erlina said something.

"I hope you all can go back to the village."

He couldn't replied her because the raptors had already started their attack. Jo facing more than six raptors alone. The raptor was intelligent dinosaur, similar to mice. The raptors felt that Jo was the most dangerous opponent. So, the isolated him first.

Their attack were swift. Without the hunter knowing, they had separated from Jo.

Jo let out a chuckle. His luck had already ran out, maybe. The raptors attacked him with their bite, tail swing, and their little claw.

One raptor attack him. It open its mouth swiftly and almost bite his left shoulder. But Jo could saw the raptor movement. He evaded the bite backward and gave his strong upper kick. The raptor jaw instantly broke and not long after, it was dead by Jo's stab on its neck.

But Jo could not took a rest. The rest raptors decided to attack him together.

"Shit! They are cunning!"

One attempt to bite him, one attempt to sweep him with its tail. Facing pincers attacks, Jo could not help to evade with rolling on the ground. Jo squat up after rolling, but suddenly Jo felt his stomach being hit by the raptor tail. He spat some bloods.

Jo didn't have enough time to enjoy his wound. He immediately back flipped to evade from the rest raptors attack.

"Fuck! If I meet another raptors, I will surely kill it on the spot!! Fuck your ancestors!"

Jo ran. He could not think another solution beside ran. On the road he saw a tree with vine on it.

Jo immediately climbed a tree to escape from their pursuit. If he faced them head on, he would surely not survived. He summoned his crude bow and the arrow.

Jo smiled wickedly and aimed his bow to one of raptor under the tree.

Then he aimed to another raptor. But luck Goddess likely had already left him. He still could aim at them, but never headshot.

In the end, he threw 20 arrows to kill them. He very satisfied with the result and wanted to rest. His body got tail hit after all.

"Ah!!" Jo heard Erlina shout and couldn't ignore it.

"Can you give me some rest?" He said with complain.

He aimed at the raptor that assault Erlina. Thankfully, she only faced one opponent. His arrow successfully landed on the raptor leg.

Cries! The raptor roared.

With a slight distraction on the raptor, Erlina immediately started her counter attack. She stabbed her new blade to raptor neck. The raptor wanted to retaliate, but it's blood oozed out like fountain. It became limp and not long after, it was dead.

After finishing the raptor, Erlina immediately helped another member to kill the raptors remaining. Jo occasionally shot his arrow if Erlina and the member out of situation.

Looked at the current situation, he decided to rest for a while. The last raptor was killed by join attack of hunters.

"Ugh, my arrow is gone completely. I hope some arrows still could be recycled."

"Master is strong!" Julia praised from his soul realm.

-Of course. But this fight really too troublesome. I hope I can build a sanctuary for them soon. - Jo answered.

"Oh right, Master. Why Master seems to be very good to Erlina? Oh! Is she Master next target?!"

Jo eyebrow twitched after hearing Julia remark.

On other side, Erlina and non wounded member immediately help the wounded member. Juri got a bite on his left arm.

"Please endure for several days. We will immediately back to village." Erlina said to Juri.

Juri nodded without saying a word.

After took care of Juri, she remembered about Jo. She immediately sprinted to Jo's original position. She afraid that Jo was bitten by the small ferocious dragon.

(The native human call raptor with small ferocious dragon because it is similar to T-Rex.)

But instead finding Jo's corpse, Erline saw many small ferocious dragon corpses. She found that a wooden stick similar to the one that struck her opponent leg. She vigilantly examined the corpses and the area. Indeed, she didn't find any Jo's remnants.

"What are you searching? I am here! Look at the top." She heard Jo voices from the top.

Erlina saw him resting on the tree branch. He was basically just lazing on the tree. But when she wanted to scold him, Erlina saw many scratches and bruises on Jo's body. She immediately suppressed her emotions and jumped up.

She opened Jo's shirt with brute force. The buttons were flying everywhere and Jo's shirt officially broken. She saw huge bruise on his stomach, then she saw a blood trace from his mouth.
