192 New Beginning

One year later…

"You're back already!" Maximus was surprised. 

"I am. You weren't there and…" she paused seeing him chuckle. "I like it here," she said not minding his chuckle, and closed the portal. 

It was the coronation day of Marcus and Alexandra went there alone. She wanted to bring Maximus with her but he wanted to take care of the harvest. And since everything was arranged perfectly for the coronation, she was not in the mood to stay there. 

A year did make a lot of difference and for the better. She loves her life here on the farm. She has learned to be the farmer's wife. People in the town know them as Maximus and his wife and somehow that made her feel so fulfilled.
