3 Chapter Two

She woke to the incessant resounding of her daily alarm. She reached over still partially asleep and slapped the button on top to force the beast silent. She groaned rolling to her back. Eyes blinking sleepily, as she attempted to rouse herself from the sleep she had been enjoying. Her thoughts instantly went to Him. She sighed, and sat up looking around, without really comprehending her surroundings. The room was pretty bare. White walls, plain cot, gray comforter, white pillows, gray closet filled with gray clothes. The only splash if color was the necklace that hung above the bed. A glittering gem hung from the steel chain. A labradorite crystal. Her favorite. It had been a gift from him, when they had first begun dating. She smiled a little, remembering when he had given it to her, but a glance at the time had her quickly rolling from the bed and traipsing to the closet. She chose her normal gray skirt, white collared button up short sleeve shirt, and of course the matching gray long sleeve blouse to go on top. She quickly slipped on the black flats she always wore. A look in the mirror making her sigh. Her brown hair lay flat and straight as always. With a sweep of her hands she pulled the hair up, exposing her features. She had to lure them in. She had to capture attention, but she didn't want to. This had never been the life she was meant for.

She stared for a long few moments, before turning and exiting the room. The loudspeaker overhead crackled on.

'Attention. All Blue and Black Class Candidates please report to the board hall, all BLUE and BLACK Class Candidates PLEASE report to the Board Hall. Thank you.' A voice crackled making Aymelek flinch slightly at the sound. She growled softly then turned. Two guards stood a small ways down from her, both carrying very large, sophisticated looking guns, and sporting blue-gray digital camo uniforms.

"Here to escort me, boys?"She stated without humor. The males simply stepped aside, waiting for her to pass. With a sigh she did and made her way through the maze of passages to the Board Hall. Upon entering it was to realize, that, she was, once again in a room full of males, ranging in ages from 22 to 28. She glanced about, eyeing each of them from the corner of her eye, before the guards escorted her to her seat at the front table. She would sit, crossing her legs, keeping her back straight, while simultaneously clashing her hands before her upon the metal, stainless steel table. Eyes seeking the deranged lunatic doctor whose head she so DESPERATELY wished to mount on a very large, very jagged stake in the ground.

"First off, I would like to begin this meeting with a greeting. My name is Doctor Schrackner. I am the head researcher here. Alongside me are Doctor Cameron Sacobi, with her husband Doctor Jacob Sacobi, Doctor Miguel Moskovitch, and finally Doctor Sabrina Comers." He would pause, looking at all of the current candidates. His eyes landed on Aymelek and she simply stared back with an unreadable expression. Internally she bristled, daydreaming of the hundreds of ways she would LOVE to shift and rip that disgusting smirk off of his face.

"Many of you have come from sectors all over the world, having been specially selected. Others have come to us, simply because you have survived this long from the incessant spread of The Virus. For those of you, whom have suffered loss, my deepest of sympathies goes out to you. But that loss, has opened up the door way to bigger and better opportunities." The man would pause and look about at them all. Aymelek eyes would fall to her hands, continuing to imagine them coated in his blood. She smirked but kept silent so as not to call attention to herself.

"Gentleman, my lady. Allow me to present subject 0192. A werewolf we have been able to preserve, perfect, intact, and very much alive." That sneer in his voice. The hint of malice. Aymeleks eyes rose, horror echoed in her eyes, blood slamming through her veins. He was there, in all of his glory. She clenched her jaw, claws sliding from her nail beds, the tips piercing into her palms. Her body shook, eyes glazing over from her human blue-green eyes to her blazing hellfire orange eyes. She stared at her mate, before glaring at Schrackner, unable to do anything about it.

"This subject was captured sometime ago. He has dutifully been placed in a cryogenic sleep, so that we may study him up close and personal. Your time here will consist of training, preparing and studying. What is the mission you ask? Survival. Using this male werewolfs blood, we will ensure humanities survival." The doctor explained. He went on telling them of the gene studies and whatnot, but Aymelek wasn't focused on him. Her eyes pierced through the container, through the goop that surrounded her male. Trained on his left ear. She could swear it had twitched. She concentrated, hard. Searching for the thread that bound her to him.

'Mojka láska? My love can you hear me?' Her thoughts reached along that strand binding to his existence. There it was again. Subtle barely to be seen, but she could see it. His ear had indeed flickered.

'I love you.' Her thoughts whispered once more, her inner wolf howling as she sensed the awareness of their mate. But he was awakening and that could only mean one thing.

He was becoming resistant to their sedatives.
