16 Something is Wrong (Part 4)

The hallway to the exit is long. Why is it so far? It was so near earlier. Is this the part where I'll run into them? Geez, this cliche thriller scene is not something I stan.

Tap.

Tatap.

"Hmm?"

I noticed something odd. My forehead started to crease at the headache brewing inside my head.

'I seem to be noticing a lot of odd things right now. That, or weird things kept happening coincidentally tonight.'

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

My heart was beating so loudly that it drowned every little or loud noise around me. I clutched my chest and my eyes started to glow. Then my body slowly became normal.

'This is why I like Kaven's hypnotism.'

Hypnotism wasn't limited to enemies but can also affect the user. It also has little recoil because I'm not that OP like the others.

I used my ability to hypnotize my own body to a state of homeostasis. But that didn't last long.

"Goddamn it."

My mind is in turmoil.

This feeling of something is so familiar. Back when I was Kim Su-An, I felt this whenever I knew book-Kaven was about to do something stupid that would lead to a big issue soon.

I instantly, almost instinctively, knew what it was.

'The plot is moving.'

I never felt this. I felt issues brewing up when I allied with the others but this was... it was scary. It's like something was crawling underneath my skin.

'Did seeing that crazy bitch trigger something?'

I started walking again.

Tap. Tap.

Then I stopped.

Tap.

Tatap.

'There it is again! I wasn't imagining it!'

My eyes widened when I clearly heard the footsteps of someone obviously following me. That crazy bitch isn't it. The one I saw was careful enough to hide her presence. Both the book-crazy bitch and this one I've seen were capable of doing something like that.

'Who is it? The marionette? No. Even that person is not careless.'

I entertained the idea I didn't want to even think about.

'Third party.'

I slowly leaned on the wall. I placed my hand flat on the metal wall and leaned my head on it. The cold metal wall felt good against my skin. Then I looked up. The hallway was well lit but deserted.

I whispered.

"Hey, are you also here Luna?"

Luna, the system, surprisingly replied. The mechanic voice used my alias this time.

< Red Moon. Voice recognition, success. >

"Is there something going on tonight? Sir Deus?"

< Sir Deus, full name Amadeus--- >

"Ugh! Half-Moon. G-G-Gramps. What the hell ever. Tell me. Now."

'Twice. I said it twice. I'm so glad I'm alone.'

No one can see me blushing like a tomato after saying the 'Gramps' to a wall. My goodness, how embarrassing.

< Gramps' schedule. Access denied. Half-Moon. Access approved. Task for today, generally, is to introduce a big figure to the company members. The person is a representative of the company in partnership with Crescent Moon. >

"Name. Is it okay for me to know the name?"

The robotic voice paused.

< Verifying for access... approved by the Crescent Moon. Name, Gin Park.>

"What? Gin Park? Fuck."

My face instantly lost its color.

'What the hell is going on? This doesn't make sense.'

Gin Park is the first of the three antagonists! How can he be here? How can he be in partnership with Crescent Moon, a company that doesn't partner with anyone? My god. I hope I didn't enter a parallel version of SMOAH or something.

'This is not something caused by my actions alone.'

The words unconsciously came out of my mouth.

"What's going on?"

But I didn't have enough time to think about it.

BLINK!

BLINK!

The lights of the ship started to flicker until it blinked one last time but didn't open again. It was silent and dark and I was all alone.

'Fuck. Don't tell me it's really a parallel world? Is this a SMOAH's horror version? Shit.'

My heart started to beat faster again despite me using my ability.

BRRRRR!

"Ugh!"

I reached for the nearby wall lamp to steady myself as I felt the ground beneath my feet rocking back and forth. The ship was moving as if there was an earthquake.

I immediately yelled.

"LUNA! IS THERE AN EARTHQUAKE?!"

< Red Moon. No, there isn't. >

Fuck. Only one thing came to mind.

Ability user.

Probably something to create an artificial vibration or something like that. Just why? I didn't do anything big.

"Damn it! How is this happening when it's not written anywhere in the book?!"

Tatap!

I whipped my head to the side when I heard the familiar footsteps of stalkers. My eyes widened this time.

SHHHHHH!

Purple glitters flew in the air like dust and then started to dance in the hallway. The tiny frozen specks of dust felt cold and then warm to the skin as it wrapped around me.

"You..."

I saw someone looking completely uncomfortable at the other end of the purple spectrum of dust. Behind her flaming dark violet hair was someone way taller but was covered in a cloak.

I can't see the person but I already know who it was.

But even that person isn't important right now.

"You."

I looked at the person who said the same word but with a much firmer voice. Murasaki Yuki, the supposed to be a crazy bitch.

She looked awkward in her high heels as she walked towards me with an enigmatic look in her eyes. She didn't have the slightest elegance she had earlier.

'This is the weirdest I've seen yet.'

She looks as if... she knows who I am.

"What do you want from me?"

The cold voice echoed to her which made her halt halfway. Her purple eyes turned cloudy and she asked something that shook me to the core.

"You... are you a transmigrator too?"
