Yasmin (1)

The day went as normal, but instead of being allowed to wander freely, I was watched over by the three main characters.

For some reason, it seemed that they had put aside their differences and had decided to work together to keep their eyes on me.

They didn't let me go free for even a single second, so I wasn't able to go find the third and fourth guardians.

But there was a part of me that didn't want to find them after seeing what the first two guardians were like.

I didn't know what was wrong with Bi Feng, but there was definitely something wrong with Su Rou. If this was the precedent that the first two guardians set, then I really didn't want to get closer to the other two guardians…

It felt like something would go wrong with them as well.

Luckily they were so focused on keeping me near them that they didn't even talk about what had happened over the weekend, so I didn't need to worry about having to make up excuses.

It seemed that there was an equilibrium that was reached as they worried about keeping other girls away and me trying to keep them away from me.

After the day ended, it seemed like it was Veronica's turn to watch over me.

Since it was Veronica who was watching over me, naturally Yasmin also followed along.

As we left the classroom, I could feel the jealous looks coming from our classmates.

After all, I had two beauties walking home with me.

Normally she didn't walk home with me and I walked home with Yan Ling, but today she stuck to me like glue and wouldn't let me go. So I had no choice but to go with her.

And since I went with Veronica, her shadow Yasmin also tagged along.

Hence the jealous looks.

After leaving the school, Veronica suddenly said, "Do you want to go to an arcade before heading home?"

I was about to shake my head, but then I suddenly thought of something so I gave a nod.

Veronica was surprised since she didn't expect me to say yes, but then she happily dragged me along to the arcade.

All the while, Yasmin had been glaring at me the entire time.

Though when she saw the happy smile on Veronica's face, she couldn't bring herself to stop it.

So she could only take it out on me.

But she never would have known that my target this time wasn't Veronica, but rather her.

When we arrived at the arcade, Veronica immediately dragged me to different games.

The current her was like a kid inside of a candy store instead of the powerful and prestigious Vampire Princess. But then again, it wasn't strange since she was still just in high school.

Even if she was a vampire that had a long life, she was still the same age as me.

So it wasn't strange for her to be acting this way.

I didn't resist as I went along with her, this was my job as the best friend character in the first place.

Since it was something that the best friend character should do, I would do it without hesitation.

The two of us kept playing different games without a care, though I had to admit that it was hard keeping up with Veronica. She was a vampire who had an enhanced physique, so she had much more energy than a normal human.

For a normal human like me to keep up with her, it took a lot of willpower.

But this was what my training had been for the entire time.

It was only after an hour of continuous playing that she finally said, "I'm tired, how about we rest for a bit?"

Though she said that she was tired, it was clear that she still had plenty of energy.

Rather, it was me who looked like I was about to collapse.

I knew that she had only said this out of consideration for me, but I really couldn't keep up with her anymore. So I just gave a nod in response.

Veronica helped me over to one of the tables in the food court and I just collapsed in the chair when I came over.

I really was running on fumes at this point, so it was hard even to stand.

Seeing me collapse in that chair, she looked at me with a worried look that also had a trace of guilt in it. After all, it was partly her fault for dragging me around like this through the arcade.

After looking at me with that worried look for a bit, Veronica suddenly stood up and said, "I'll go buy you a drink."

Without even giving me a chance to stop her, she ran off all on her own.

Yasmin, who had been forgotten, had a sad look on her face as she sat there on her own.

But I didn't let her remain forgotten.

I suddenly sat up and looked at her with a smile on my face.

When Yasmin saw this, she immediately revealed an aggressive look before saying, "What do you want?"

The way that she said this was clearly hostile.

It seemed that she had misunderstood something.

She thought that I was looking at her with a smile because I was taunting her, but that wasn't the case.

With the same smile on my face, I said, "How about we have a talk?"

"Huh?" She revealed a disgusted look before angrily saying, "What do I have to talk about with this spineless maggot that keeps hanging around the young miss? Do you really think that I would be here if it wasn't for her?"

I didn't get mad at being called this, instead I just gave a nod and said, "I know how you feel, but let's talk about Veronica for a bit."

This time, Yasmin didn't insult me.

This time, she revealed a surprised and confused look as she said, "What do you want to talk about?"

I love how they nerfed ADCs this season.
