Chapter 3

Waking up, Chen Yue stretches his body and feels it is much stronger compared to yesterday, making him wonder if his body was adapting to the strength he had gained after completing his mission.

He goes to take a shower, but he ended up completely ripping the tap out of the wall, causing him to look at his hand, speechless at what just happened. After blanking out for a few seconds, he realized his increase in strength also brought trouble to him...

-Fight in an Underground Fighting Ring and win 10 matches(0/10)

-Rewards: Martial Manual, 30 points.

-Failure: Loss of control over strength.]

'Okay then, this works for me. I assume that Martial Manual thing would help me control my strength, or else the AI wouldn't give it to me.' Chen Yue mused.

[Host is correct. The Martial Manual is a powerful manual in this world, as it will allow Host to control his strength perfectly, allowing Host to become even stronger due to controlling his strength.]

'Right. Where will I find an Underground Fighting Ring though?' Chen Yue asked.

[I will guide Host to the Underground Fighting Ring, so please follow the light.]

A small ball of light suddenly appeared in front of him, causing him to wonder how strong this AI really is, to be able to create something like this instantly. Sighing to himself, he covers himself completely, leaving only his eyes visible, as he doesn't want to get burned.

'Sigh, I hope I can increase my Light Resistance Perk soon, or else I will have a lot of trouble in the future with leaving the house, as I can't always cover myself like this. Right now it is fine because it is winter, but if it is spring or summer, it won't be possible to do this.' Chen Yue thought.

Following the orb of light out of his house, he passed through multiple alleyways and finally comes to a warehouse type building, he follows the orb of light down a flight of stairs, and eventually hears a bunch of screaming and fighting going on.

Once he gets to the bottom of the stairs, he can see a large ring with two people currently fighting it out, and one of them eventually breaks the other guys neck, killing him and completely shocking Chen Yue.

It was silent for a while but the audience started yelling loudly in excitement, meaning death is probably very normal in this place, making Chen Yue wonder why the AI brought him here exactly, as he would be forced to kill people most likely.

While he doesn't have a problem killing people, he doesn't really want to kill people for no reason, as it would just bring bad consequences to him in the future if he indiscriminately kills people in the future, and it could corrupt his mind, making him become something he isn't.

[Host, go onto the arena now. You have to win 10 fights before you are allowed to step down, or else you would die in the end. Don't hesitate to kill the people on the arena who go against you, as they are all people who have killed countless others before.]

Hearing that, Chen Yue felt slightly relieved knowing he wouldn't be killing innocents, and after a slight hesitation, he walks towards the arena and steps on it, followed shortly after by a tall and muscular man with scars on his body.

Seeing Chen Yue, his enemy and the whole audience thought he was sent as some sort of sacrifice, which makes sense considering his handsome looks and scrawny body figure. While he has perfect muscles underneath his clothes, nobody else actually knows that and figures he is just some wimp.

"Damn, here I was looking for an actual fight, why the hell did I get a brat like this? It's your unlucky day, brat." The man said.

Before Chen Yue could say anything back, the man across him sprinted towards him with a powerful momentum, with a speed that would be considered really fast to the normal person, but to Chen Yue, he looked as if he was moving like a snail.

Once the man was in front of Chen Yue, he punched out with is fist, aiming towards Chen Yue's heart, going straight for the kill. Narrowing his eyes, Chen Yue stretched out his hand and lightly caught the man's fist with his hand, shocking everybody in the surroundings.

Before the man could react, Chen Yue threw his fist away and punched out towards the man's heart, giving him no chance to react and completely destroyed the man's heart from the inside out, sinking his chest in as he flew towards the other side of the arena.

It was completely silent for a good minute, but then the place was drowned by shouts and applause, causing Chen Yue to be slightly annoyed. After all, he isn't really good with people, so with hundreds of people shouting towards him it is annoying.

Someone came and took the man's corpse away from the arena, and another man came up to stand across of Chen Yue. Not wanting to bother with him talking, Chen Yue ran towards him as fast as he could and crushed his neck, not giving the man any time to even struggle.

*1 hour later*

After crushing the neck of his tenth challenger, Chen Yue stepped off of the arena, much to the relief of the other fighters inside the place, as he killed everybody with a single attack. The only reason it took an hour to kill ten people was only because they were too scared to go up until some were forced to.

After he got off the arena and sat down in a corner, Chen Yue completed his mission and information about the Martial Manual suddenly began entering his head, causing him to silently groan.

After a few minutes, he completely knows how to control his strength now, much to his relief. He also found that by having complete control over his strength, he is actually 35% stronger than he was before, which shocked him.

'It sucks I couldn't drink the blood of the people I killed, I could of increased my stats decently. Status.' Chen Yue thought.

'Hm? Why is Martial Manual in the Perk section? I didn't think it would be there.' Chen Yue thought.

[The Martial Manual was put into Host's Perk section due to it assisting Host while not being an actual Ability, so it was instead placed under Perk.]

'I see, that makes sense. Well, let's go home then.' Chen Yue thought.

Standing up from his chair, Chen Yue leaves the corner and leaves the Underground Fighting Ring by going back up the stairs he came down from and began heading home, as he has nothing else to do here now that he completed his mission.
