Seeing their determination, the undead knight raised its sword to the group.

Then a dark radiance coming from the body of the undead knight coated the sword's tip,

Just from watching the black radiance coating the blade's tip, the group of seven women felt an undeniable, instinctive threat.

The sound of energy severing through wind sounded, the dark radiance of the undead knight's sword cut through air itself.

The monster swigged its blade straight at the group.

But before it could reach them, the ground shacked a strong earthquake shook the place where the knight stood.

Joanna and Lina joined hand using all of their mana reserves creating an earthquake.

The undead knight in his attack formation getting disrupted, it lost its balance.

Stumbling onto the ground.

The ground then turned into liquid, Liza used the same magic technique as before [Sticky Swamp]

Realizing the situation, the undead knight tried pulling itself up, but the [Sticky Swamp] a control type techniques effect is too astonishing.

Moreover, the other girls Marian and Sakura used gravity magic even if it's weak, its effects are enough to render the undead knight's actions.

Then out of nowhere, vines grabbed the undead knight's limbs, pulling him down deeper in the swamp.

Jessamine used a control type magic called blood vines, it possessed specific effects like energy absorption and paralysis.

On the side far from everyone, Karen is casting multiple buff to boost everyone's prowess. Liza reminder her to be as far as possible to avoid any unnecessary problems. Karen knew what Liza thought because she's a supporter type, she needs to be in the safest point where she could perform to her fullest.

Undead creatures are perfectly immune to paralysis effects, but their aim is for it to lose a large portion of its energy before fighting it head-on.

The black energy that coated its sword's tip earlier is called death essence, it's a powerful natural essence possessing terrifying negative effects to its enemies.

One of its effect is for someone to lost their mind, paralysis, weakness, mana recovery reduction, magic damage reduction, spiritual damage reduction, slowness, soul corruption and slight corrosion.

The group wanted to avoid confronting the knight head-on, while its death essence is still abundant, they wanted to fight the undead knight without such cheat status effect power.

The knight tried struggling to get out but was unable to, the blood vines, sticky swamp and gravitational force pulling it down to the bottom of the swamp rendered its actions.

This should have been a great moment for an attack, yet their hand are full just by rendering its movements.

Joanna and Lina aside couldn't do a thing but watch as their mana and spiritual power is at rock bottom, if they're to use a bit more they'll sure to lost conscious.

To its struggle, the undead knight decided to used its death essence, it was the moment the group we're hoping for.

They aren't confident on wasting more energy just to trap the undead knight for a few seconds, they've wish for the monster to used its energy to escape their leash.

A loud explosion echoed, the monster successfully escape the group's grasped after using most of its death essence.

The entire swamp Liza created is nowhere to be found, as what left we're the undead knight standing in the bottom staring at them with its pitch black of endless nothingness like eye's.

Unlike other undead that possessed an energy ball in their eye sockets they used for vision, undead knight doesn't have one.

Undead Knight's are creatures that reason from a warrior who died on the battlefield, and not just any warrior at that.

Only warriors that have slaughter hundreds of people can become an undead knight.

Due to the resentment of numerous souls, the warrior responsible couldn't ascend for reincarnation.

The numerous souls will try devouring the said warrior until it lost its ego and become a mindless soul.

Then one's this process is complete the resentment souls that stayed will become a supplement for a birth of an undead knight.

The more people they've slaughter when their alive the stronger an undead knight can be.

On the other hand, the undead knight in front of the group isn't even in the master level of terms of skill, so they deducted a plan to reduce its death essence as large as possible.

The undead knight in fury jump out of the crater the former sticky mud created.

Similarly to how undead knight retain a portion of its skills and battle experience, it also retained some of its negative side emotions, like pride.

It didn't have a feeling to feel prideful, but its instincts is pointing out for its pride to be hurt, something that shouldn't have been touch.

In rage, the undead knight glared at the group with its non-existing eyes. The undead knight's rotten skin falling to the ground as it shacked itself, convulsing.

"Everyone, braced yourselves, it's going for a second phase body."

"I think we've hurt its pride too much, so it didn't think twice activating its second phase."

"A prideful undead, that's new."

In front of the terrifying undead going to a process of second phase, the group stayed to their nonchalant behavior.

This behavior of them is nothing but an illusion for them to keep their wits and moral.

They themselves know how dire the situation is maintaining the mood, they've reframed from lowering the group's moral.

The undead knight's rotten body started convulsing in a weird way as spike and tentacles started springing out of it.

The one's humanoid shape undead knight monster turned into a detestable gigantic abomination. Some parts' of its body let out acid like steams melting anything it touches, there's also the strange black liquid coming out from its body and seemed to have its own will.

This gruesome black liquid tried moving to the group, extending its web like extension, using them to move.
