13 Moon Emblem

When Bill entered, the first thing he noticed was the huge moon drawing on the walls. The half-moon drawing was looking majestically. Bill felt his knees trembled slightly and about to kneel unconsciously in front of it.

Eddie, who all this time was watching Bill, finally stepped forward. He placed his right palm against Bill shoulders, and Bill trembled knees immediately turned into normal again. Bill condition was in no much better since his forehead was covered in much sweat. Bill seems to hold himself back from doing something earlier.

"What was that?" Bill muttered in a faint voice. Bill looks like asking himself, but in fact he asked Eddie behind him. But it seems like Eddie has no intention to answer his question.

Eddie turned around, and his eye turned gentle quickly after his eyes caught Grandma Thia figure.

"What do you need me to do, honey? Even if you were asking me to cross the mountain and sea, I'd gladly do all of it." His word and soft tone, making Bill want to puke a moment.

It seems his Grandma already used to this man shameless honeyed word because Grandma Thia didn't even flinch. Now Bill knew the reason why his Grandma expression turned weird when she mentioned the person.

"I want you to teach this boy here to read." Grandma Thia speaks straight to the point. She pointed her forefinger on Bill.

Eddie face immediately fell.

'That boy again!' He furiously thought inwardly. His eyes lit up like flames, staring hatefully at Bill.

Bill felt his back was sweating profusely.

'Is Grandma deliberately sold me into this scary man??' Bill bitterly thought. He didn't do anything, yet this Eddie is always staring at him like he was his lifetime enemy.

"Eddie!" Grandma Thia called out. Eddie swiftly turned his head to her.

Noticed that she already got Eddie attention, Grandma Thia opened her mouth. "Hear me first, alright?" Eddie nodded his head.

"This boy was going to participate in the upcoming Knight Training." Eddie turned to Bill and his expression was as if asking, "Are you crazy?"

"That's why I want you to teach him. I know you're capable of doing that since I have seen your past achievement." Hearing his crush praised him in front of other people, Eddie couldn't help but puffed out his chest proudly.

"It's such an easy task," Eddie replied with a hint of pride.

"I know you can do it. I'll reward you something the time Bill able to read." Grandma Thia offered. Eddie eyes immediately sparkled like brilliant stars among the sky.

"Really?" Eddie inquired.

"Of course! When did i ever lie to you?" Grandma Thia teased.

Before Eddie reply to her tease, Grandma Thia continued to speak. "Anyway, your room is quite messy. Did you already start a new project?"

"Yes!" Hearing Grandma Thia was curious about his new project, Eddie excitedly started to lead her into another room.

Bill followed them silently after Grandma Thia signaled him with her eyes. Bill tried to minimize his presence as much as he can because he was afraid that the jealous guy before him would turn around and kill him with his eyes.

While walking, Bill couldn't help but in awe seeing those moon drawings were exist along the corridor.

'Is this some kind of cult emblem or something?' Bill thought silently. Lopez City also has an emblem that represents the Uremia Kingdom. The symbol was shaped the same as the sun. It likely the church was worshipping God Of sun or whatsoever its name is.

Wait.

If that sun-shaped was an emblem that represents the Uremia Kingdom, then what this half-moon emblem represents to?

Bill stared at Eddie back and thought silently, that despite the man before he was like a child that quickly gets jealous and pride, he actually was really mysterious.

Bill followed them into a room where many papers scattered over the floor. The words were unreadable for Bill since he was uneducated. But, Bill can conclude from the number of words written over the papers, the papers were likely a note or thesis.

"So, what you've been experimenting with this time?" Grandma Thia starts speaking after inspecting the room for a moment.

A smile formed on Eddie face when he heard the question.

"I was still making the same potion as I did in the past, and this time I'm finally about to succeed," Eddie said excitedly.

Bill was shocked for a moment hearing that. Did this Eddie guy make a potion? Wait, that's illegal!

Grandma Thea frowned hearing that. She said with a tone of anger. "Are you fool? Didn't I already told you to stop doing that?"

Eddie sighed and helplessly said. "I'm sorry, Thea. But I can't do that. If you ask me another request, I'll gladly comply with it. But for this matter, I'm sorry."

Hearing both adults were about to argue, Bill stepped outside to give them some privacy. Though Bill was quiet reluctant since he was curious as hell about what does Eddie does and what happens on their past.
