18 Battle with Queen Mosquitoes

Bill startled for a moment seeing the sudden notification. Then his expression became joyous after reading it. Apparently, he unlocked a hidden ability because of his determination earlier.

Then a surge of power enveloped all Bill limbs. His body brightens like a lamp for a moment before restored to normal again. A sigh escaped from Bill mouth.

"The hidden ability deserved its name. I can actually felt that my body is getting stronger." Bill clenched his fist.

He shook his thought off and decided to deal with the matter before him first.

Bill momentum currently at a peak. He starts swinging his torch to expel the mosquito away. Bill didn't stop walking despite the mosquito grew in number. Some of the mosquitoes were falling from the burn. Some of them quickly reduced in ash.

Bill squinted his eyes to see clearly what's ahead of him. And he could see vaguely a silhouette of giant mosquito that sized about cannon. The giant mosquito seems like in sleep since it didn't initiate attacking Bill and only laying on the ground.

Using that chance, Bill placed his shield on the ground and grabbed something from his inventory. Immediately, an ax appears on Bill left hand. Bill didn't stop and quickly grabbed another item. It was a bow, arrows, a bottle containing oil, and a piece of giant cloth.

Yesterday Bill bought a giant cloth from the market for ten coppers. So currently, he only had 36 coppers coin given by John. Though Bill reluctant to spend his money on that, but in the end Bill did it since he thought he would need it. Now he grateful that he bought the cloth.

Bill got the oil through Grandma. Thankfully, Grandma didn't ask too much and just gave Bill the oil without hesitation.

Bill start torn the giant cloth into two smaller cloth. Hearing the tearing sound, the giant mosquito seems disturbed and slowly stirred at its sleep. Bill noticed it immediately fasten his action. He wrapped the smaller cloth on an arrow. While for the last cloth, he wrapped it on the ax.

Bill opened the tip of the closed bottle and started pouring its contents into the arrow and the ax.

The smell of oil now spread across the area. The queen mosquitoes seem smelled the oil because its eyes slowly opened. Its red eyes that would frighten any normal person now staring intently at the source of the smell. Bill seeing the situation is not right, quicken his action. He placed the torch on the ground and inserted the tip of the arrow on its flames. The tip of the wrapped arrow quickly covered in fire.

Bill picked his bow and stretched the arrow, then released it.

*Whoosh*

It landed exactly where the queen of mosquitoes is. The area now brightens and Bill could see clearly the exact position of the queen of mosquitoes.

Bill didn't stop there and quickly picked up another arrow. He stretched the arrows backward with all his might till his right arm tremble slightly. His muscle twitched because of the strength he invented.

Before the giant mosquito managed to react, Bill released the arrows. The arrows shot straight away piercing the air.

*Swoosh*

The sound of an arrow piercing the wind could be heard. Because Bill physique was strengthened by stat points and adding with the fact he got a new skill [ Will of Warrior ] which increased his combat power by 30%. His arrow power can't be compared with an average soldier.

If a normal arrow could hurt soldiers. Bill arrow could overthrow 2-3 people by its might even if the people wear plate and shield. That's how terrifying the power of Bill arrow is. Unfortunately, the one Bill battled now was not an average person but a monster.

Although Bill was not trained for using a bow, he often saw a video of archer on the internet and can faintly grasp the technique. And the current target was a monster that just woke up a few seconds ago. Like a human, a creature like this probably also needs time to gain its fully conscious. So, using a chance that the creature didn't seem fully aware of the dangerous situation it currently faced, Bill decisively decides to attack at the moment.
