2 Waking up to Grass?

A few days have passed since the soul started occupying its new body and a lot has changed. The thunder storm event was dubbed the "heavens wrath" event, since to the people of the world, the thunderstorm looked like the heavens releasing its wrath.

Another thing has changed, and that is the young man's body. The previously deathly pale skin and sickly aura around him was completely gone. The almost translucent skin was replaced by a deep jade like colour and skin that felt like silk and the aura was replaced by a calming envelope, like looking at one's grandparents. One that would make you forget all your troubles just by catching a glimpse of them.

The young man still looked very malnourished and weak, but in comparison to his looks before there had been a major improvement.

Within the room the young man is sleeping are three people; two women and one man. The man looked to be in his 40's with flaming red hair and golden eyes, and a body type of a warrior, but most importantly he had a unique aura around him that was both calm and violent, like how a river is soothing and calm but when agitated it can turn into raging rapids. As for the two women, one looked to be in their 30's with a beautiful face that looked like a goddess. She had long silky black hair and dark hazelnut eyes, and skin looked like polished jade. Her aura was a smooth one, like a feather in the wind, something that goes with the flow but will never be caught.

The final person was the other woman, though girl would be a better term. She looked to be around 14 with looks resembling the other woman. She also had silky black hair but unlike the other woman's long hair, hers was a lot shorter and only went down to her shoulders, but unlike the other woman she gave off an immature childish feeling. Probably due to her age.

If one were to look closely you could see the resemblance between the young man and all three of the other people in the room. The young man has a similar face, a combination of red and black hair creating a very deep red colour. If another person where to look at the 4 of them together, they would think they are family.

These three people have a worried but excited look in their eyes as they look at the sleeping young man.

"So darling, have you figured out why our son is still sleeping? His body is getting better day by day, but he is still asleep." Said the man who claimed to the be young man's father.

"hmmm, it seems that whatever the cause of his illness was has disappeared and I would guess that is due to the medicines we gave him as his body is rapidly getting healthier. I only wish he was awake; it has been six months since he was put in a coma due to his illness, I just want to hear his voice again." Said the woman with a sad look in her eyes as she gently caresses her son's hair.

And as if he heard it the young mans eyes start to flutter open as they slowly reveal a mesmerizing pair of brown gold-coloured eyes filled with confusion.

'Where am I, who are these people. Hmm, the last thing I remember is collapsing after waking up. Am I at the hospital? No, definitely not. That leaves one route left. I GOT REINCARNATED!'

This young man, revealed to be David is ecstatic with finding out he got reincarnated. His thoughts are currently going crazy. But not thoughts of worry, but thoughts of excitement and his future.

'ok ok, I should calm down. First, I need to identify where I am and what kind of world, I'm in. I should get some memories hopefully from whoever's body this was'.

And just when David said this, he suddenly got a headache, has images and information he didn't know previously started appearing. It was as if a film was being played in his head, a film about someone's life, their birth, their family their friends. Everything was being shown within David's head.

After a literal lifetime finished being played out within his head he starts looking around. 'ahh, these people are this person's parents. What were their names again.'

'that's right the father was Fen Zung and the mother was Fen Hai Rong, and the 3rd person here seems to be the little sister, her name was Fen Caihong I'm pretty sure. Man, its gunna take me a while to get used to Chinese names, I can already guess from the memories I'm in a face slapping world *cough* cultivation world. Well, that's gunna be fun and terrifying. Right my name was Fen Chang, for now I should play the part, not as if my old life's identity is gunna help me. Goodbye David and hello Fen Chang'.

Fen Chang looks at his parents with confusion and then asks "umm, mother, father why are you staring at me like that? All I did was take a little nap because I was tired?"

'This should work, I can pretend that I didn't know I was in a coma and play it off as me just taking a little nap. Then I can ask for some time alone to get my thoughts around being asleep for such a long time. Though that would be the cover and I would actually start planning for the future and start to get into acting mode, after all I gotta make them think I'm their son.'

As Fen Chang is thinking, a little figure came rushing at him interrupting his thoughts.

"Big Brother I'm so glad your awake *sob sob*. You had me so worried, I was alone, so alone without you to play with me *sob sob*"

'This is defiantly the little sister, Fen Caihong. The memories show that she is quite the loner and spent all her time playing with me, once I was in a coma she came by everyday and cried about how she was lonely and didn't have anyone to play with. Hmm, right now I should act the part, besides I've never had a little sister, will be nice to have one for a change.'

"Caihong you shouldn't cry, I only took a little nap. And look I'm feeling much better after doing so. So, don't cry, I will have plenty of time to play with you" He said while petting her hair.

All of a sudden Fen Chang heard a deep male voice saying something. "Son, you have been in a coma for 6 months. That was not a mere nap, you had all of us worried sick."

Fen Chang turned to where the male voice came from and saw his mother and father looking at him with concern in their voice as they say.

"We have been so worried you know, during your coma you looked like you would die any second, we had maids have constant watch over you and a doctor within the palace ready for any occasion."

"I didn't realise, for me all I did was take a nap. I never realised that I had been asleep for so long. I'm so sorry for being such a bother" Fen Chang said in a sad tone.

"its alright dear, so long as you're ok now, then everything was worth it. Besides, I have already checked over your body and it seems whatever was causing your illness is gone. So now all we need to do is make sure you rest and gain back your strength. We are your parents after all, we would do everything to make sure your ok." Said his mother in a caring voice.

And like this they spent the next hour talking about what's happened and a further 10 minutes trying to pry his little sister off him, eventually having to ask his parents to help him, and like this his parents left along with his sister so that he can get some rest and process his thoughts.

'phew. Finally, they're gone. First things first, I should go through the memories and learn about the world. Then see if I have a cheat.

Fen Chang then spends the next few hours sorting through the important parts.

'ok, so this is definitely a cultivation world. Now as for the levels there seem to be four of them. Body Refining Stage, QI Gathering Realm, Earth Melding Realm and the Cloud Drop Realm. Though there are definitely more, now let's think. Most novels have around 9-10 stages so I should assume this is the same, meaning there are a further 5-6 stages I don't know about.'

'Next is about this continent. This continent is called the Azur Continent. And is split into 3 sections. The Fenzing Empire, Xiangling Empire and the Fanglung Empire. There also seem to the 4 main sects which are on the level of these empires which are the Blazing Heaven Sect, Woeful Demon Sect, Diving Grace Temple, Glistening Droplets Pavilion. There seem to be a lot of smaller sects as well but these 7 places are the main powerhouses of this continent. Though I'm sure there are hidden experts and another land, from my memories it seems my family has connections to the main land, but I was never told explicitly since I never previously asked.'

'Now, as for where I am…. well damn that's awesome. The Fen family seems to be the royal family of the Fenzing Empire, and the emperor has the same name as my father. That makes me a prince. Fuck yes, got a good status right from the bat, there are so many ways for me to take advantage of this, cool. I am currently in the palace which is in the capital city called Emperors Rest.'

'ok so I think that's everything that's useful right now that I need to actively know. Now it's the time for the main event'.

Fen Chung sits down in a meditative position and tries to visualise looking at his inner self. After a little bit of trial and error, he finally manages to succeed. Once in his mind he sees a little multicoloured bead.

Once he is close enough to touch it, something special happens as he is all of a sudden sucked into it. For anyone watching this they would be left stunned by how Fen Cheng suddenly vanished.

Fen Cheng felt the difference in his surroundings. So, he opens his eyes not knowing what to expect, only to be greeted by a large lush green plain surrounded by thick multi-coloured fog.
