19 Outside the Capital

A few hundred miles away from the capital city of the Fenzing Empire, was Fen Chang who was sitting next to a camp fire with a modern looking tent next to him. On the fire where some skewed fish cooking as Fen Chang was sitting on a chair drinking some wine, thinking.

'It has been 5 days since I left the city and have managed to make it around 700 miles by running with a few stops for rest and food. I have another 400 miles before I reach the city right next to the Blood Peaked Mountain Range. Although it called a mountain range, it got a large forest and is only mountains in the middle. So really it should be called Blood Peaked Forrest, but whatever, doesn't matter much. When I reach the city, I will check in on the leader ship, raid the criminal organisations and do a check for talent and girls. Then I will head into the forest and get some practice in while also checking the area out for treasures.'

After eating Fen Chang went to sleep ready to wake up early and make it to the city in the next few days.

3 days later Fen Chang could be seen outside a pair of giant gates. He was wearing a long black robe with red and white outlined roses on it. Beneath the robe was some black trousers barely see able and some black sturdy shoes. On his face was a weird black and golds striped mask with comma shaped eye holes.

To the onlookers, he looks like a dangerous and mysterious person. Someone whose identity was completely hidden.

He walked with the line of people and entered through the gate with ease. 'There isn't even a check point. I am even dressed up suspiciously with a mask and everything. Yet the guards just let me though like I was a normal person. Such a lack of protection, this is a big city as well since its next to a famous hunting area. I should note this down when I have a chat with the city lord later.'

He continued walking through the streets checking on the street shops while also checking on the guards in the area to see if they are even doing their job.

To Fen Changs disappointment it seems they are not doing their job properly. He has already witnessed a few times where some gangsters have beaten or robed places and the guards just stood their and watched. Once it was done, they seemed to have gotten a cut, meaning the guards are corrupt.

'Well seems like the city lord will be getting replaced with a loyal slave. Corrupt guards, lack of protection when entering and complete disregard for the law set by the empire. I shall send a messenger bird back to father and tell him about the situation and that I will handle it. He just needs to be told so he can check some of the other cities.'

After enough searching around, Fen Chang has seen enough and walks in a straight line towards the city lord's house.

Once at the gates he in stopped by guards before he can enter.

"You, masked person. Stop! This is the city lords house. How dare someone as lowly as you try to enter. Turn around now and give us all your money and items and we will let you leave with your life."

"Someone as lowly as me? So, the prince of this empire is someone lowly compared to a mere city lord. It seems like your wanting death. Very well I shall grant it to you. Ma Tan, deal with them for me."

The guard's faces changed from ridicule to shock with the statement of him claiming to be the prince. Just as they were going to mock him a tall figure appeared out of no where behind the masked Fen Chang.

With a quick step Ma Tan flew forwards and before the guards could even realise then where already knocked out and collapsing towards the floor.

"Master they have been taken care of. Do you want me to take care of the other guards here?"

"Yes, take out all of the ones outside secretly then join up with me in the main building. Bring all the guards to me once your done along with any other people. If they don't resist then you can be gentle with them, if they resist just knock them out."

With the orders given Ma Tans figure disappears with a tall streak running off into the courtyard on the big manor. Fen Chang on the other hand had quickly enslaved the 2 rank 1 guards. Before heading towards the main door to the house by himself as he left the guards to keep their post.

He gets to the door and calmly opens it and continues though. All the guards that saw him were taken down swiftly by the other shadows he had stored.

It didn't take him long to get to the location of the main room which the city lord was in. Without hesitation Fen Chang blast through the doors making a loud racket which had drawn the city lords' attention.

Fen Chang looked at the man sitting on a sofa with 2 beautiful girls next to him feeding him fruits. The man had a skinny build with long scruffy hair. His face looked like a rat and there was nothing but pure disgust when Fen Chang looked at him.

Seeing the intruder, the city lord stood up and with arrogance in his eyes he shouts. "How dare you intrude in the city lord's manor. Guards arrest and kill him."

Fen Chang hearing this just smirked and took off his mask while calmly taking as seat on the main chair in the room. The guards he called for on the other hand were making their way in and heading towards Fen Chang.

Seeing this the city lord sneered and was waiting for him to start begging for his life. But the next second left him baffled as fear started to creep in. The guards he asked to arrest the masked man where now standing neatly behind him. Like they followed his orders instead of the city lords.

"Guards what is the meaning of this. I am the city lord. Do you plan to rebel against me!"

"City lord rat face. These are not your guards. They are the city's guards, and the city is owned by the Fenzing Empire. As such these are the emperor's men, and as the emperor's son the next in line for control of these men falls to me. The PRINCE!"

Fen Chang then pulls out a token with the empires royal crest and shows it to the rat faced city lord. Seeing the token and the way things were happening disbelief and despair quickly set in on the man. He quickly goes on the ground and grovels like a rat.

"Please great prince. Please spare me. If I had known it was someone as great and forgiving as you, I would never have said those things." He continues begging coming up with all kinds of excuses.

Fen Chang not bothering to hear about it puts his hand on the city lords head and enslaves him. The city lord is only an early stage 3 cultivator, which is now within range of his enslavement technique without the use of extreme measures.

"Now that you have shut up, from now on I will call you rat face. Rat face tell me the status of the city, the location of the criminal networks and current threat the forest is to the city right now."

"Of course, my lord." Rat face then goes on to explain the status of the city. He says its income, citizen status and power level with the guards. He then grabs a map of the city and points out the location of all the criminal organisations in the city. There where lot, at least 5 major criminal gangs that had split the city into 5 zones then a lot of smaller gangs within the cracks as well.

The city was pretty much run by these gangs as they each had a stage 3 expert stronger than the city lord. The benefits they offered the city lord where also high and caused him to become a corrupt city lord working for them.

Next, he shows the threat from the forest and how its currently not very high due to a lot of hunting going on right now because of winter.

"Rat face. You said you have a deal with the major 5 gangs. As such I want you to call an emergency meeting here right now. Say the prince of the empire has arrived and wishes to strike some deals in exchange for benefits. If they seem suspicious mention that I plan to gain allies for a hostile take over of the throne, and allies that helped will be rewarded. That should be enough for them to come. I will handle the rest. You have 1 hour to gather the heads of the 5 gangs, be quick."

"Yes, my lord, I will have it done immediately."

Rat face quickly scurry's off in order to invite the leaders. Fen Chang seeing he has some time decides to play with the women the city lord has captured. The city lord took advantage of his power and kidnapped lots of beautiful women from within the city.

Fen Chang decides to take advantage of this and make them his instead. Seeing how all of the women have decent looks he takes them all in as slaves, and the few talented ones as maids.

1 Hour later in a dark room beneath the city lord's mansion sat 6 people with a 12 people standing around the edge of the room.

These 6 people are Fen Chang and the 5 leaders of the top criminal organisations within the city with the personal guards standing around the edge of the room.

The 5 leaders cautiously look at each other, as if wondering why would the prince ask for their help. The designated leader of the 5 spoke up after not too long.

"My prince. I am happy to see you. Although we are extremely grateful for the fact you asked to see us, we are still unsure as to why you would ask for our help and why we would even help you in the first place. You may be a prince but that doesn't mean we wouldn't be able to take you out right now and leave the empire before your father even knows."

"Your right I am not here to ask for your help. I am here to enslave you and treat you like pigs. Except for this beautiful lady here the rest of you are gunna be punished by Ma Tan for a little before becoming loyal slaves."

The 5 faces instantly scrunch up. A tall buff man with a scar over his eye and tattoos all across his arms instantly stands up with rage in his eyes and smashes down of the table. "How dare you take us so lightly. You are just a stage 1 brat. I will have you killed."

"Calm down, I'm sure our prince here was just joking. Right prince." Said an older man with a crafty smile and a gaze that screamed I dare you to retort. The old man had a grey beard and calming voice but beneath you could tell the craftiness of the old man.

"No, I said what I mean. You are all nothing but low stage 3 slaves. Do you really think me, the prince wouldn't have multiple high level stage 3 guards following me? Do you really think of this empire as nothing?"

Hearing the statement, the all 5 eyes instantly got cautious. They didn't know if what Fen Chang said was true but from the way he was acting they couldn't afford to relax.

The women looked carefully at the 4 other men which are the leaders of the other gangs. She then gives an analysing look over the prince. A few minutes later she stands up and walks towards the prince.

"My prince. Please let me server you. I understand that we are nothing compared to the Fenzing empire, and the chance the emperor gave you high ranking body guards is certain. I am not involved in what they said, I speak for myself and I believe my best choice is to follow you."

The other 4 leaders eyes turn to surprise when looking at the woman. Fen Chang on the other hand smirks and puts his hand on her head as she was kneeling down.

After Fen Chang retracted his hand, the woman stood up and went under the desk and started to service Fen Chang. The others where shocked as each of them had tried all they could to court that women yet within an instant she was on her knees servicing a weak stage 1.

The old man eyes turned even more cautious while the other 3's eyes turned red with rage and jealously. The stood up and prepared to charge at the prince. The men they had on standby behind them also grabbed their weapons and took stance.

Seeing this was turning into a fight the old man made the quick decision to join in and fight.

"So, you all chose to fight. Seems this voluptuous woman here was the only one with brains. Shadows incapacitate them, Ma Tan I want you to then play with them for an hour. They deserve some punishment."

Hearing the prince gave the order to attack to the guards they rushed to attack first. Just as they where about to charge something unexpected happened to them.

The shadows on the floor that where around them stated taking the shape of chains and quickly they lashed out and wrapped around all the people. Seeing the situation, the leaders tried using all their power to break free and run, but no matter how much they tried they couldn't even move an inch and they also felt their QI being restricted by the chains.

Seeing them dealt with, Fen Chang leaves and goes to have some fun with the new slave he just got while Ma Tan dishes out some punishment.
