Chapter 6 - Lyvaria

Chapter 6 - Lyvaria

Feeling seriously hungry—as he had been training for a long time with really short pauses in between, he went to have his dinner at the dining hall.

- Dining Hall -

"Hilgamech, what would you like to eat?" A young maid came over to where Hilgamech sat and asked with a pretty smile on her face.

She wore a nice gown that accentuated her great figure and had hazel eyes that shone with virtue and determination. She was the only daughter of one of the numerous workers in the mansion.

"Hello, Lyveria. I am fine with anything. How are you doing?" Hilgamech responded with a friendly smile carved on his lips.

"I am fine. Thanks for asking. So, like I asked you the last time, when would you go to study at an academy? You shouldn't waste away your potentials just because your uncle is wealthy. You should try to develop your own strength and obtain your own wealth. Your uncle's wealth is his, while yours is yours, until he decides to will everything to you." The young, beautiful maid who was called Lyveria, said with a serious look on her face.

Hilgamech's uncle, Thellgarr, was exceedingly wealthy that he could afford the cost of Hilgamech's school fees, even if he wanted to study in the academy for demigods or gods. He would be able to easily pay for all his expenses, no matter their cost. So, she was surprised that up till now, Hilgamech still hadn't enrolled into an academy of his choice.

But, she didn't know it was for a reason.

Upon hearing that, Hilgamech shook his head and said with a smile on his face, "My uncle wouldn't. Right from when I was very little, he had been the one teaching me how to read and write. It's as if he's scared that if I go to any of these academies, I may never return."

"But to be sincere, Lyvaria, I think I would enjoy him more than any other teacher in any academy. He patiently lectures me, explaining and re-explaining all over again if I don't get it."

From what Hilgamech knew about cultivation academies, he had always known them to be institutions owned by a person or a group of certain individuals.

They taught people how to cultivate, provided them with resources like herbs and pills to nurture the energies they had attuned their perceptions to, and gave certain treasures to worthy students—outstanding geniuses to assist them in their cultivations.

But to enter these institutions, multiple tests would first be conducted. Once one passes and is given admission, they were required to pay acceptance or admission fees which was usually very cost. An average family may not be able to afford it. However, there were series of scholarships that could be given out to people that were financially handicapped, so that their sons and daughters could come in to study.

After paying the mandatory enrolment fees, one would need to pay the school fees for every year—which was very high and increases as one progresses.

This was normal as the schools needed money to continue operating. They would remunerate the instructors, pay the non-cultivation staffs that maintained the beauty of the academy, and erect important structures around the school with the aim of activating the spirit of excellence in students and further enhancing their inborn or honed capabilities.

So, due to these factors, only affluent people or people from noble homes could really afford the costs of sending their younglings to cultivation academies.

Another thing about these academies, which Hilgamech knew, was that they acted as shields for their outstanding students, especially the ones called Great Sons and Daughters of the Academy.

Anytime they left the academy—probably for adventure or training, they would be stealthily followed by some elders who would immediately spring into action once they detect a critically high level of perilous danger.

Once Hilgamech gave his response, Lyvaria nodded and said with a contemplative look on her face, "Okay. But it would be better if you chose to study at an academy. It will provide a competitive atmosphere that will help to awaken and build your talents, further increasing your overall prowess."

"Anyways, you might not need it just as you mentioned earlier. Your uncle is a really nice man, carefully guiding and teaching you everything you truly need to know. Besides, look at all the wonderful and unceasing opportunities he gave us. I just pray the gods continue to bless his business." Lyveria wholeheartedly prayed for him.

Hilgamech only smiled when he heard gods.

It had been clear to him since that these gods were once humans or other forms of living creations that strictly trained themselves to reach the godhood level, which he was also going to attain by ceaselessly and tirelessly training.

After a while, Lyveria brought a scrumptious meal that exuded great aroma.

Hilgamech offered his thanks and dived in immediately.

Many moments later, after eating to his fill in the big and grandly furnished dining hall—which had large tables that could easily accommodate thousands of people, simply because Thellgarr saw his workers as a family, Hilgamech stood to his feet with new vigor and energy coursing within him before leaving for his uncle's room.

"Kid, you totally abandoned me because of cultivation. It's not fair." Thellgarr said with a false unhappy look etched on his face.

Hilgamech heard that and smiled. Then he said, "Uncle, I am sorry. I was carried away by it. I promise to visit more often."

Hearing that, Thellgarr shook his head and said, "No need to visit me, boy. Just do your thing. I was only teasing you. But I am very happy with you. You are really diligent."

"But look at your body, you are getting skinnier by the day. Skipping breakfast and lunch just for practice, ehh? Actually, you can skip lunch. You should however make sure that you don't skip breakfast. Always go to the dining hall for that, okay?" Thellgarr asked in a serious tone.

Hilgamech smiled again and said after nodding his head, "Alright uncle. I will do just that."

"Good. Now, what do you want?" Thellgarr directly asked without mincing words, after ushering Hilgamech into his incomparably magnificent room.

"Uncle, I came to ask you about the worlds we have out there." Hilgamech replied.

Then he said further with a thoughtful look on his face, "In my surreal dreams about that expert, I saw thousands of worlds of different sizes that became ruined when he destroyed his solid core of divine power. So, this has caused me to believe that we may have many other worlds or realms out there. Right, uncle?"

"Yes, Hilgamech. You are absolutely right. We have large hosts of worlds out there." Thellgarr responded while Hilgamech happily nodded his head.

"So uncle, since I will definitely journey far in the future to obtain resources for myself, could you please tell me about the worlds we have out there, which are currently awaiting my dazzling, glorious, and breathtaking superb entry in them?" Hilgamech asked and grinned because of the last statement he made.

Thellgarr looked at him and smiled. He then said, "First of all, that's an incredibly great plan. I myself have always dreamt of traveling to many of these worlds to acquire rich experiences about them."

"Then to answer your question, from my study about this world, I came to realize we live in one just one of countless worlds out there."

"The totality of these worlds is called the Realmverse, or in mundane term, 'Sea of Worlds.'"

"These worlds, which can also be called planets, have their own suns that illuminate them."

"Then depending on their sizes, richness, and diversity of cultivation energies, they can be classified into Godverse, Rulerverse, Oververse and Mortalverse..."
