7 Chapter 4

Within a dark cave hidden behind a waterfall,

A young man that looked to be in his late teens slowly got out of the bed he was sleeping in. He was a tall and handsome man, with amber coloured eyes and long dark brown hair that faded into amber.

He proceeded to cast a spell a cleaned and removed any sweat and dirt from his body making him feel refreshed as though he had just taken a bath. With a yawn, the man waved his hand to perform another spell this one that caused black and gold robes to appear on his body while making his way out of the bedroom.

It had been about a few years since Hades found himself on this Island. The Island itself was small no larger than the size of a small city and although the place looked desolate he quickly discovered that it had a forest filled with various sorts of fruits, plants, animals, and beasts.

Reaching the kitchen Hades proceeded to summon as well as telekinetically control various types of ingredients and food supplies from the cupboard while humming a tune to himself as he started making his breakfast.

'It is really hard to tell the time in here, but I feel although it has been a few years since I have been stuck in here.' Mused the god while thinking about the last couple of hellish years that he spent in this place alone.

In the first couple of days, he had mainly focused on his survival as the air was polluted making it very hard for him to breathe. They were also the fact that he had never lived in the wild before.

But over time he was able to quickly adapt to the environment and using the knowledge he had inherited from Odin, he began thriving.

A fragrant smell suddenly filled the room as the young god finished making the food and proceeded to place it on a round table in front of him

''Thanks for the food.'' The amber-eyed god said making a quick prayer to himself.

Just as he was about to start his meal. A sudden ripple appeared in space in Infront of him and from it, flew a dark purple raven with silvery grey eyes.

''Ahh, Ciel welcome back. Did you have a good flight this morning?'' Hades said with a twinkle in his eyes as he then proceeded to prepare another batch of food for her.

Ciel was a familiar that he had created not only out of loneliness but also as a way to gather news and information about what was going on in the outside world.

He had imbued her with unique powers and abilities ensuring she will be able to travel quickly and undetected to any place world.

''Yes I had a good flight master, thank you for asking. I also have some information you might have an interest in.'' replied the purple raven in a gentle and mischievous voice

''Oh, is that right.'' He smiled while summoning a black book filled with various enchantments that he usually used to write down his thoughts. Inside of the book, it contained various notes on geography, politic, and history as well as information about various titans, their abilities, jobs, and personalities.

''Yes master. It seems that yesterday the queen gave birth to her second daughter and just this morning the titan king has swallowed the child.'' Ciel said proceeding to share the information she had through a telepathic link the two shared between each other.

''So, it's like that.'' Hades sighed with complicated emotions. On one hand his extremely angry with his father for eating his children while on the other hand, he is excited to meet his sibling.

After finishing his breakfast, Hades proceeded to go out for the morning training that he had been doing for the past couple of years. First beginning with the physical conditioning and exercise of his body. it was then followed by different forms of martial art and weapon training. He did all this training while constantly wearing gravity seals that he designed to adapt along with his increasing strength.

During this time, he was in constant contact with Ciel talking to her about all sorts of things as well as recruits that she should keep an eye on.

In the afternoon he finished off the training by working on his control over his Divine Power.

Over the past couple of years of research and experiments, Hades discovered that Divine Power is a substance that is native to divine lifeforms.

It is used by divine beings to control and manipulate magic creating a range of different effects including but not limited to physical and mental enhancement, elemental manipulation and transmutation as well as performing various types of magics.

It is created when two primal energies known as 'stamina' are moulded together. Physical Energy is collected from an individual's physical essence which can be increased through training, stimulants, and exercise. While Spiritual Energy is derived from the mind's consciousness which can be increased through studying, meditation, and experience.

These two energies becoming more powerful will in turn make the created Divine power more powerful. Therefore, practising a technique repeatedly will build up experience, increasing one's Spiritual Energy and thus allowing more Divine Power to be created. As a result, the individual can do that same technique with more power.

This same cycle applies to Physical Energy, except the individual needs to increase their endurance instead. Some unique individuals have substantial potential that enables them to exponentially increase their Divine Power in a relatively short amount of time.

Hades had further found out that at any given time an individual will have a 'maximum' amount of Divine Power that they can form and use before it runs out and they need to rest to replenish it. With practice, this maximum can be increased, but only to a certain extent as they are limited to the quantity and strength of Divine Energy that their ancestry grants them.

Because Divine Power takes time and a great deal of training to gradually build-up, the amber-eyed god quickly discovered that the key to its use is not actually having large amounts of Divine Power but instead being able to sufficiently control and conserve it.

This is what Hades had named Divine Energy Control and why he practices it every the afternoon after his martial arts and weapon training.

To have good Divine Energy Control, one should only mould as much Divine Power as they need to perform a given ability. If they mould more Divine Energy than is needed, the excess energy is wasted and they will tire out faster from its loss. If they don't mould enough Divine Energy, a technique will not be performed effectively, if at all, likely creating problems in a combat situation.

After finishing daily training Hades followed by the Raven familiar Ciel entered the forest to not only hunt monsters for experience but also collect various ingredients for potions. During the hunt, Ciel is usually in the air for surveillance and when she would find prey she would send the information to him using the telepathic link.

''I think it is about time that I step up my training a bit I feel although my body has gotten used to this current training.'' He mused.

Just as the young god was about to start his hunt like usually, the wards he had set up alerted him of an intrusion.

"AHHHHHH"

Hades heard a huge splash of water from the colourless sea that was located below the floating island followed by a scream of someone in terrible pain.

''Ciel'' Hades called out serious.

'I am on it master.' Replied Ciel

The purple raven seemed to know what was on his mind as it quickly flew towards the area where the scream with Hades quickly followed after her.

'This must be my sister Hestia.' He thought in slight excitement while thinking but to the news he had got from Ciel this morning. To be honest, he had not expected her to be here so soon as when he had been swallowed, it seemed to take days if not weeks before he entered the dimension because time was all over the place.

Quickly reaching the edge of the Island. Hades using the eyes of his raven familiar Ciel was able to spot the source of the noise. There inside the colourless sea, was a girl in her mid-teens screaming in pain not only due to the fact she was being burned by the corrosive colourless water but also due to the fact a black 10 ft crocodile monster was swimming towards her with its mouth open displaying its large sharp teeth.

Thinking back to a couple of years ago he was met with the same situation when he fast entered the dimension the young god did not hesitant and quick went into action.
