Chapter 10: Carla Point of view (Part two)

We all have become better while fighting with spears. It seems they will be attacking a Goblin Stronghold from what I heard. Alexander orders a group of 100 soldiers to stay behind and protect us. We stayed behind, but we were training the entire time that they were fighting.

A few hours later, they came back with a group of 60 women. We decided to talk to them and we convince them to join our ranks. Of course, I was the leader of this group. I decided to let the other women train the newcomers. While I went to talk to the princess.

I went toward where the princess was, and she told me how amazing Alexander was during the battle. She told me how he protected her a few time while they were the battle. It seems like it was an amazing sight. I hold a lot of respect toward Alexander. He cared about everyone around him. He still does not expect anything in return. This to me is huge. It makes me want to follow him even if it means my death. If it was not for him, the other girls and me we probably would be dead. We owe him our lives.

After a while, we started to move forward again. Two hours later we stop in front of a field filled with peaches. Alexander told us to eat from them till we were full. He also took a bite of some. It looked like the peaches remained him of something pleasant because he was smiling like a fool every time he took a bite from a peach. It was a funny and amazing sight. The reason for this is because he was the leader of the army but he did not care about the way people looked him. He was just a simple man that was in charge of a group.

I went with the other girl and kept training still it was time to move forward again. It seems the only reason we take a break is for us. This is because they are thinking we are weak, or is it because Alexander wants to admire the sight? I do not know but I love every time we stop. It gave us time to become better and better on using our spear.

We were almost approaching the capital. We were about 6 hours away from it, but since we stopped every so often this trip became one day.

We finally arrived in front of the capital city. Right on the border, there was a big army. It seems like there might be a war happening soon, but Alexander was calm and gave an order to his men.

In less than 5 minutes 1240 people were all lineup half one side and the half on the other side. We were in the back of the carriage that Alexander was on it.

He said that we were free to leave if we wanted to. With me in front of the group we refused, and we yelled from the top of our lung that we wanted to be part of the army. We also yelled that we will follow him till death.

It seems he knew that we were training with spears. The reason for this is because he asked who were good with the spear from all of us. I stepped forward to my surprise he appoints me the general of the spear squad. I do not understand why he already had one general of spears. I just wanted to be under that general. Alexander also said that my first task will be to train rescue women to become spearwomen. It seems like I will be a training spear mastery trainer. I just did not know that some of the members of this person I train will become the personal bodies' guards of Alexander.
