2 Wild Wolf Pack

There are six farmers in the village, Ragus is one of them. They each plant their crops one month before the other, it served to continuously provide rice for everyone yearly.

"Daddy! Bye-bye!"

"We're going to school now!"

"See yah later dada!"

"Bubye~!"

"Bayiiie!"

The four children chuckle as they left the house with their school attire.

"Ohhh..." Ragus felt lonely, he sobs and nodded: "My cute children are growing old now."

"Bye bye Runa, Sean, Ran, Shen, Paul! See you all later!" Ragus waved his hands with tears as he bade his children off.

Then, they entered the two-floored house just in front of his.

Soon, the head of the four children popped out of the 2nd-floor window and waved: "Hi daddy!"

"Daddy! We're here!"

"Dadaaaaa!"

"Heyoooo!"

"We here!"

"Hello my lovely children!" Ragus waved his hands repeatedly at his cute children, he has five children, but Runa is the only girl from the five.

It lasted for thirty minutes until the teacher arrived, Ragus couldn't help but smile as he continued planting his crops.

After three hours had passed, he had finished his job and started stretching: "Hmmm!!! finally done!"

"Now, for the other plants." As he spoke, he headed to the far part of his field.

But as he made his way there, five people approached him, they too are old people.

"Ragus, you have a minute?" The one leading the five spoke, his name is Bade, he's the one in charge of the village's security.

"Yow Bade!" Ragus replied casually, he looked at the other four: "Mustang, Ford, Hans, Einz, you guys are serious, is something the matter?

"Well... you're in the far end of the village, we would like to warn you first." Bade spoke as he looked at Ragus sternly: "We've found traces of wolf tracks along the way from the Devil Mountain, I'm not particularly worried about you, but you should forbid your children from coming too close to the mountain for a while."

The devil mountain got its name through having two peaks, it's where most of the wild herbs were taken for the village's consumption, although there are wild beasts and such, it's mostly

Ragus hearing this had his smile erased as a frown replaced it: "That seemed to be troublesome."

Bade nodded his head: "Well, we'll be searching for these pack first, but we suspect that there aren't just one or two packs of them."

Ragus frown: "Shouldn't wolves only go in a single pack, how come there are more of them, and what more together?"

Bade shook his head: "I don't really know, this is the first time I've seen something like this."

"Anyways, be careful, the lost of Elena is already too much for us to bear, we can't forgive ourselves if your children were to suffer an injury."

Ragus smiled at them: "Thank you, I'll be laying traps around my field, you should only approach me through the center of the village's path."

Bade nodded: "That I will."

"Well, we will try to locate these packs of wolves now, be sure to lock your doors and close your windows."

Ragus nodded his head: "Sure, if there is something I can help, let me know."

Bade nodded his head: "I will."

Pausing for a bit, it felt like he wanted to say something before shaking his head: "We'll go now."

Ragus nodded his head: "Sure, take care."

"We will."

As they finished their conversation, the five left immediately heading towards the Devil Mountain.

Ragus frown deeply: "Had something happened? Or were they chasing one another..."

Packs wouldn't usually enter a fight against each other, they would just test each other's strength and will make the other retreat from a pure show of strength, they will fight for territory, and once the victor has been decided, either the loser goes away or they join the winning pack, with the alpha being removed and becoming the subordinate.

Ragus frown but shook his head immediately: "Thinking further will be pointless, I'll just create traps around my house."

As he spoke, he took a shovel and started digging a few tens of six-meter holes, when he finished, it was already night.

He took some of his firewoods and headed home.

"Daddy, where did you go!"

As he arrived, his children laughed and started to assault him.

Ragus chuckles and played with them for a while, he then started cooking for their food.

In the middle of it, he looked at his children: "Right, nobody will go out of the house without my permission, okay?"

"Ehhhh?!" All of them exclaimed, all of them then simultaneously asked: "But whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?"

Ragus smiled at them and answered: "There are big bad wolves outside, so until they are shoed away, it's better to stay inside or they will take you all away from me!"

"You'll never see daddy again if that happens!" Ragus stretched his arms wide like a scary monster and spoke: "Do any of you want that to happen?"

All of them pouted and shook their head: "No!"

Ragus chuckles and nodded his head: "Then, no one will go out, okay?"

"Kaaaay!" They lifted their hands up and nodded repeatedly.

A while later, they all finished eating and fell asleep after playing for a while, Karas tucked them in and sighed.

He then stood up and went to the firewood and started sharpening it.

From the mountain, Ragus could see five lights shining from within the forest: "Those must be where Bade and the rest are."

"Well, considering their strength, I would have to worry about the wolves instead." Ragus sighed as he continued sharpening the firewoods.

He needs to create a pit with sharp spikes beneath it, to kill whichever wolves come and fall to it.

But as he sharpened the last firewood, Ragus heard it...

"Grrrrr." A wolf's gritting voice.

Ragus frown as he stood up, looking from afar, fierce red eyes can be seen, two, six, twelve...

It increased steadily one by one as they closed in on his house.

[Brown Wolf Lv 24]

Ragus looked at the names and couldn't help but sigh in relief, but the most problematic one is the wolf behind them.

[Alpha Razor Brown Wolf Lv 48]

Ragus took some sharpened firewood and started walking towards the wolves: "If you go back now, you all wouldn't have to die, but if you wish to continue this, I would only be forced to kill you all."

Seemingly understood Ragus's words, the Alpha Razor Brown wolf howls: "Awoooooo!"

As it did, the thirty brown wolves started to attack from all directions.

Ragus shook his head: "Then, all of your bloods will be offered as fertilizer to my farm!"

Ragus took one of sharpened firewood, he aimed at the brown wolves and posed like he's going to throw a javelin.

Ragus's eyes sharpened: "DIE!"

He screamed and threw one his spike.

"Awww~ Wooo!" One of the wolves Ragus aimed at was pierced by its shoulder through the lungs before being embedded on the ground as the brown wolf eyes slowly fell lifelessly.

"Ragus coldly glared at the wolves: "One down."

As he killed one of the wolves, the others backed out, wry of Ragus's attack.

"AWOOOOOOOOOOO!" The Alpha Razor Brown Wolf enraged howls once more, this time, he's attacking personaly!

Ragus couldn't help but sigh, his tactic of scaring the wolves away didn't work! He shook his head: "This is going to be a long night... or not?"
