Past

Al Casendra froze on the spot. He blinked twice and everything turned dark. The word trash and dumb reverberated through his brain.

Various conflicting emotions assault his brain, making his head fuzzy. His chest rose and fell. He closed his eyes.

'You're trash. Humph! In this world you're still trash.' A voice said in his brain.

He shivered and shouted in his mind. 'I'm no trash. I'm the greatest scientist the world has ever seen.' Veins protruding from his forehead.

'Oh-oh. Says who? If you're not trash. How come you get killed by your creation? Humph! Useless entity. Just kill yourself and end your miserable life.' The voice continued to taunt him.

Listening to those makes Al Casendra blood boil and a sudden heat flushed through his body. Unknown to him, his body was covered in sweat.

'I won't kill myself and I will prove to you. I'm no trash. I've barely spent two month in this world. Do you see how much I've achieved?' Al Casendra defended.

'That's why you can't solve the issue of your dumbness. Tsk! You're hopeless. Just accept it. You're trash.'

Kako was stupefied when he saw Al Casendra shaking vehemently while sweat was dripping from his forehead like an open dam.

'What the hell is going on with the prince.' He cried in his mind. He raised his head and looked at the Master Normen and his eyes turned bloodshot.

"What are you going to do with your measly magic stage? Hmm?" Master Normen taunted.

"Do you know what you've done?" Kako's voice raised an octave.

"What have I done? I just told you to take away that stupid trash and I don't want to see him again."

"You—"

Al Casendra gnashed his teeth and shook his head furiously.

'Do you hear again. You're stupid, trash and dumb. Just end your misery and kill yourself'

'I'm no trash. Don't call me trash—'

"Young master. Young master." Kako shook Al Casendra trying to wake him up. He was scared watching Al Casendra like that. He didn't know what to do?

Al Casendra opens his bloodshot eyes. His deep blue eyes were long gone and it had turned to fiery red. Seeing this, Kako took a step back and shivered.

'What the hell happened.' He panicked.

Inside Al Casendra soul plane. Snow opened her eyes and looked in a particular direction and shot out a wall of ice. Suddenly, the rising temperature of Al Casendra's body dropped immediately and his eyes changed from fiery red to deep blue.

Taking a deep breath, Al Casendra raised his head and looked at Master Normen and all his students. Without further ado, he turned and left the courtyard.

Kako was lost and scared. He quickly chased after Al Casendra, maintaining a three feet distance from him.

'They dare call me trash. And that useless boy call me dumb. I, the greatest scientist. Who dares look down on me?' He thought furious.

Since he was young, he tried everything to elevate his family status from slum and gave them a comfortable life. He did various inhuman work in order to provide for his family. Yet, he realized. People still call him trash from the slum.

But when his talent in advanced science research began to bloom. People began to change their perspective against him.

Nevertheless, some still talk about his family background. Making him do some imaginable things while the word trash became his reverse scale.

'Did I choose to be born in a slum and have such parent and did I choose to be dumb. Why would they still not understand me and accept me for who I am.'

Al Casendra walked briskly into the hotel and directly to his room without raising his head. While Kako froze in the corridor. "What is going on with the prince?"

"How could they do that to us?" A voice yelled.

"Do they think we're scared of them?" Meyla shouted, entering the corridor.

"What are you talking about?" Kako asked.

Raymond and Donated appeared in the corridor and stared at Kako. They shook their heads, dejectedly.

"Some gangs tried to disrupt our shops. They asked us to pay a protection fee if we want to have a peaceful stay in Xina city." Meyla grumbled.

"Is that all?" Kako asked without any expression on his face.

"Do you think it's that easy? If we don't find a solution to these gangs, we won't be able to have people patronizing us."

"Don't you hear what the prince said?" Kako questioned with a slight frown.

"Continue your work and leave the matters of the gangs to us." His voice raised a decibel and veins protruded from his forehead. 'Why are you so useless? A common gang chased you from the store and you came here crying.'

"You don't understand. Those gangs have a powerful backing. Without can't just ignore Willy nilly without planning everything."

"If you want to lose your life. You people can continue with your shenanigans." Kako snorted and flung his robe, leaving the coward.

"I told you we should continue with the setting up of the trade center." Donald grumbled. "But you two are to scared to continue. When you came here, weren't you prepared to meet some challenges? Hump! I've said my piece. The prince asked you to begin the sale today. Let's see how you will do that with this attitude."

Donald marched out of the corridor in annoyance. 'How could I be paired with these spineless people?' He grumbled and left the hotel. 'It is good we're not managing the same trade center. Else, it would be a disaster.'

"What should I do?" Meyla asked in trepidation.

"Why are you asking me? It's your city. You decide." Raymond shrugged, leaving the stupefied Meyla in daze.

"Why did I follow your advice when I knew you're not reliable." She murmured and dashed out of the hotel.

'I can't let those scumbags destroy my hard labor. Let's see what will happen when I open the shop.' She was determined.

Inside a magnificent villa, a robust middle-aged man sat on a cushion and looked at the young man wearing a guard uniform.

"Are you sure they lodge into the bloom hotel?"

"Indeed. I'm sure."

"Good. Good. They are merchants trying to set up their store in Xina city. A mere guard of a merchant group dares to look straight into my eyes in public. Hump! Let pay them a visit tonight"
