1 Chapter 1: Prologue

A pitch black room, no sound or light was found within it. A man sat in such a room, his heart pounding and his body sweating. His mind was racing as it desperately tried to process where it was.

As it was fumbling over such a question, it made a sudden realisation. It couldn't remember who it was, nor any sort of information about itself.

The mans breathing turned a notch rougher as it began to panic over another issue. Despite his best efforts, he could only recall vague information about the previous environment he had inhabited, knowledge that had virtually nothing to do with his own identity. As the man started to frantically look in different directions, clinging to the hope that something would seem familiar to him, a voice called out to him from the darkness.

The voice was indescribable however there was one fact the man had confirmed, it was terrifying. Although he had not seen the being which the voice belonged to, the man was immediately terrified to the very core of his being.

"I did not have the motivation to wait this time. It's much easier calling out rather than waiting for them to notice"

Following the direction of the voice, the man turned his body, only to be met by a glowing yellow pair of eyes. These eyes stared at the man, unmoving and without blinking. The mans breathing started to accelerate as he felt the stare pin him to his location, his body refusing to move.

"Oh right, time to talk and stop mumbling to myself. You're here for a reason."

A small shudder ran through the mans body as the eyes spoke to him.

"I intend to grant you a new chance. This chance will be unlike your first life, instead you will be sent into a specific world."

The mans fear was slowly replaced by confusion. After all, the man had no recollection of anything noteworthy, yet this strange entity claimed it was bestowing him another chance. Mustering his courage, he decided to speak.

"E-erm a new chance?"

The entity rolled it's eyes in annoyance, it was clear that it had grown bored of the conversation already.

"Indeed, a new chance. This world will be similar to yours of before, except marginally further in the future. However there is something special about this timeline."

The mans fear was alleviated slightly as he continued to ask questions.

"Special? If it's special, why would you need someone like me? I mean I don't remember anything"

The Entity stared at the man, his gaze now contained a hint of amusement.

"Of course you don't. Right now, you're nothing more than a husk of a soul that I have allowed to enter this place. I have granted you the knowledge you currently know from your memories. Try and remember what your clearest memory is."

Intimidated by the entities ominous words, the man started to delve deep into thought. As he contemplated his memories, flashes of events passed by his mind as he recalled a specific show he had grown absorbed in during his previous life. These memories were very vivid when compared to the rest, yet any part that seemed like it would reveal parts of his past, they were covered in a thick mental haze.

"An animated show?"

"Not just any animated show. This is the world you will be eventually transmigrating to. I believe you remember the name and events that take place."

The man stared at the Entity in disbelief. Everything it had said, made no sense to the man. He had so many questions yet he struggled to voice them.

"You may ask questions, after all, once you're down there, we will not be meeting until it's the end."

"The end?"

The man questioned subconsciously.

"Yes, my reason for this is an experiment. I have multiple experiments like this currently taking place. Unfortunately, you do not need to know the contents of the experiment. Just know that you will have full freedom when you're transmigrated and I will not interfere directly"

Suspicion filled his mind as he listened to the Entities words, however it did not matter. This entity held the decision of his life and death, there was nothing the man could do. Additionally, the situation did not seem negative for the man, if anything it was a blessing to be able to transmigrate into what seemed to be his favourite show of his past life.

"I see, how is this going to work then?"

The entity was slightly surprised by the question. After all, it was not the typical "Why me?" or "Who are you?".

"Interesting. This situation is different from the others, After all, you will be transmigrated twice, as long as you manage to place yourself at the center of events."

The man nodded and waited for the entity to continue.

"First, you will be transmigrated into the world similar to yours. This will be approximately four years before the start of events you are familiar with. Then if you choose to, you can find a way to get to the center of the next transmigration, which will be the guild leader position of the Infamous Guild Ainz Ooal Gown. From there, the events of which you know, will begin."

The mans heart raced as he heard the name of the guild he had grown to love.

"Are you serious? This is real?"

The entities eyes squinted in amusement as it observed the behaviour of the man.

"Indeed. I have little time for pranks and jokes. This is part of my experiment, live how you wish. In fact, I intend to make it slightly easier living for you. This is part of the experiment so do not expect any help from me."

He nodded in understanding since it was evident that the Entity had no intention of helping him. If anything, it seemed like the mans only purpose was a guinea pig for this being before him. Luckily, he did not mind that. After all, he was being offered another chance with the further enticement of boons.

"That's very thoughtful, thank you. May I ask what aid I will receive when I first transmigrate, Mighty Entity."

The man asked, with a humbled voice. The entity chuckled slightly as it watched like a live performance.

"Of course. The two boons I have decided to give you is, an incalculable wealth in the world you first transmigrate, as well as a healthy body in the world you first transmigrate. Now, that's enough talking. Let us go ahead with the transmigration."

The entity left the gobsmacked man and slowly moved its way through the darkness. Its silhouette still remained hidden and only it's glowing yellow eyes betrayed it's position.

Meanwhile, the man stayed static as he processed the boons he would receive.

"This... feels too good to be true..."

As he was stunned, he mulled over the words of the entity. His eyebrows raised as he noticed a hidden factor in this situation. Alas, the man decided to keep silent and think about it once he was alone.

"Hurry. I do not wish to spend anymore time on this."

The entity spoke in a cold tone. The amusement had completely disappeared from his demeanour as he stared at the husk of a man.

"Sorry, I was overwhelmed. I did not mean to make you wait"

The fear of death swept the man once more as he pushed his body to catch up to the Entity.

"Never mind. Your new chance starts after passing through this door. One last thing. You must never mention myself or this interaction. Should you break this rule, the consequences will be catastrophic"

The man nodded without hesitation. Intent on leaving as fast as possible, the man walked up to the black door. It had no handle, yet as he got closer, the door opened by itself.

Just as the man was about to step through the portal, he looked behind towards the entity. Only to find nothing except darkness. The pair of eyes had vanished and not a sound was heard within the darkness.

He gulped and stepped through the doorway, his eyes shut tight and his cheeks clenched.
