Alaska Jungles

"Hmm, so the system cleverly regulates the exercises huh? " ..mumbled Sam scratching his chin.

Sam was a fast-track runner in both of his lives. He even won inter-school competitions in his last life. That was also the reason why he could run fast against the criminal and had high agility stats...

"Fine let's do the indoor exercise before heading out to run. I better take some money to buy some potions. I will go hunt in the afternoon after everything is ready." thought Sam as he decided his next course of action.

After 2 and half hours...

Sam completed his indoor exercises and walked out to run for 2Kms. He decided to go to the Magic Shop which was in the centre of the city Sam lived.

Due to monster invasion, the new cities were constructed in 3 circles - outer, inner, central. The central of the city was the most influential part and only a person of high status and strength could live there. Schools, hospitals and various multinational companies were usually situated in the central part of each city. The outer city was the place where slums or common people lived there along with the military stationed there. It was the most dangerous zone. The inner city was the residential area of govt employees or powerful people. For Sam who is an orphan and non-ability person, being able to live in the outer part of the inner city was already prospering as the whole outer city was tightly guarded.

It took him 40 mins of constant running to reach the central part of the city which was 1.5 km from his house. Sam was shit tired as he was entirely drenched from sweat. He went to a nearby food stall and had a plate of hot meat dumplings and cola before he cooled down and regained energy.

Sam shyly smiled as the food stall owner looked at him and smirked.

"Come again later lad! " yelled the stall owner uncle smiling.

"Hahaa sure Uncle.. later! " waved Sam goodbye as he went towards his destination.

It took him 10 mins to reach Magic Shop. As the name of the shop said, the shop had different magical items available.

After the portals which broke opened due to space distortions, it had many unexplored treasures, ores and many other things on their other side of lands.

Of course, danger and opportunity coexisted together! The spatial portals lead to an entirely different world. They were so huge that not even 5% was explored by human beings till now.

Usually, military and registered mercenaries were allowed to go there. They were strictly monitored to not let criminals enter it. Even so, there were some accidents. There were great treasures found in those worlds. That was the reason why monsters there were very powerful. It was also the reason why those who came back alive had some kind of mutations in their ability or had gained a leap in their strength. Those unknown lands thus had a huge attraction to any superpower user, but only a handful could successfully come back alive in one piece!

"Hello sir, how can I help you? " asked a young shop attendant to Sam.

"I wish to go hunting. I want necessary things for it. " replied Sam.

The young attendant's eyes lit up, this was truly a rich customer.. he thought joyfully.

"Sure sir, follow me" he said as he led Sam to weapon hall.

"Sir, these are weapons which could kill monsters below level 5. If sir is a short range fighter then I suggest you choose a sword or blade or daggers. These are light and easy to handle. While spears or axe and others are heavy. If sir wishes to fight at a distance then sir can buy a magic rifle or crossbow, any would work.. " explained the attendant in detail.

Sam nodded as he asked, "Is knuckles available which can boost fist skill? "

"Yes, yes. We only have a piece of it and it has a special effect. You won't be able to have any choices and it's a bit costly. " warned the attendant.

"No problem as long it fits me! "

Next, Sam chose a blade and a pair of small daggers for his weapons and the cheapest space ring for storage to fool people when he took things out of his system storage. Then the attendant led him to the warrior clothing section. Sam simply selected a boot that could further increase his fleeing ability by 5%. It also had a special effect to have a speed burst for 10 seconds.

To Sam, life mattered more. So he needed to run faster in case of any dangerous situation.

Next, Sam chose vitality potion, health potion, healing potion, strength recovery potion, detoxifying potion, berserk potion and other insect repellent powder in bulk. Then he bought a map of the outskirts of Alaska Jungle. He decided to hunt in the outskirts where monsters till level 5 were found.

After paying 3 million Alliance Coins for everything, he left for home. Sam's heart ached with the amount of money he spent to buy these things. Even if his parents left him some million dollars inheritance, if he spent money like this, he wouldn't have anything to eat after half a year.

"No I need to think of making money.. " thought Sam...

"I could sell the bones and beast or plant cores in the magic shop. Hmm if only I can find some precious treasure... " yearned Sam...

On the way home, he took half the distance by mana bus and rest he ran to complete his daily mission...

After packing some dry food and water and spare clothes for 2 to 3 days, Sam equipped himself with his weapon and boots and left for the Alaska Jungles.

The Alaska Jungles were on the outskirts of Outer City. One needed to be registered in the military officers stationed to go there.

"Sir, I wish to venture in the outskirts of Alaska Jungles. Please register me." said Sam.

The male officer just glanced at him indifferently and handed him a form for agreement of responsibility of death! After filling this form, whatever happened in jungles was Sam's responsibility, after all, the military didn't force him to be a daredevil!

The procedure was smooth and completed in 5 minutes.

"I hope you come back alive," said the officer in monotone as he handed the documents to Sam.

A/N: I'm not good at naming any stores or cities. Just bear with it. If you have better naming suggestions for Magic Shop, then do tell me. It is a multipurpose mall where all kinds of things can be bought or sold.
