1 Chapter 1: Lost

What time is it? I have absolutely no clue, to be honest I have no clue where I'm either. Last time I checked Me and Tony were just...That's right! me and tony were investigating another paranormal case and that's when it got out of hand...the night is such a blur so I can't remember much but at the moment I remember being in a room with a huge hole in it that looked as if it had no end to it and I understand it sounds crazy but you gotta believe me! the hole looked as if not even a human could make it but that's when a huge and strange figure approached us, 8 foot and 7 inches tall, long hands, black skin, big feet, and a very hideous face. From what i can remember the figure...talked to us but it didn't open its mouth, it was almost like it used it's mind to talk to us but I never dealt with a ghost like that ever in my life...the last thing i remember was Tony telling me to run and that's when the figure grabbed him and jumped into the huge black pit, but where did I run to? I have no clue myself, at the moment I'm near a old farmhouse but i don't spot the abandoned asylum anywhere so how far did I run? I than start walking towards the farm house.

As I'm walking there I notice there is no animals, odd I think but it's possible they just bought the farmhouse or sold the animals off right? that's what I wish was the case, as I approach the door a old man in his 60's opens the door, me and him than exchange looks and he than says, "You a traveler?" looking at me with his 2 serious eyes.

"No sir, got lost and ended up here, you got any directions?" I reply in hope that he would give me directions and get me out of this spooky area.

"Yeah i got directions alright, but do you wanna come in for some tea or something boy?" He says with a very curious look, I don't wanna be rude so i nod my head yes and head inside, it looks like any old persons house would so I didn't mind being there much, me and him sit down and as he is getting the tea ready he asks me what is my name, I tell him Nishiki and he than looks surprised, "I knew I heard that name somewhere, you're that famous ghost detective right? you solved the cold case of 13 correct?" He says with a surprised and happy look.

"Yep that's me, although I wouldn't consider myself completely famous but I'm somewhat haha!" I say, we than both share a laugh and he hands me some tea, he than goes on to talk about things from his past, but one of his stories caught my attention, it was after his wife's death, he couldn't sleep at all because of the "voice" he kept hearing, it would speak to him and speak to him until he was actually insane and tired of it, that's when one night he got a visit from the voice itself, it was a tall figure and wore a suit a long with a hat but it had no face, it was like a shadow figure, it than looked at the man and made a deal with him, talk about a deal with the devil, I ask the man what was the deal but he tells me he's not allowed to talk about it or else "He" will come after him, I than remember my own experience so I tell the old man about it.

He than looks at me in fear and says, "Th- Th- That's him! That's the figure!, Whatever happened to your friend is something that is out of this world, that hole you saw leads to another dimension, "His dimension"." The old man says in a fearful tone, I than ask what is this dimension like and he tells me

"it's....unexplainable...It's a traumatizing experience though..." he says in even more fear and than takes a sip of his tea, after I get these directions I plan on going home to decide my next move, if this spirit continues to roam around in the human world than ghosts as a whole will have stronger connections with the human realm and this is good and bad mainly because of how many demons could be let loose and bad spirits and people will cause the world to go under war and we can't have that happening but I need to get home as soon as possible, I than ask the man if he could give me the directions, he nods his head and heads over to the counter to give me the directions to at least the city, he also offers me a ride and since it'll be awhile on foot I accepted.

We both hop in the car and we start driving down this road, we don't say much to each other on the way to the city but I feel very uneasy as we pass by these abandoned building and than suddenly the old man says, "He's watching." I reply and say "Who is?" He than points to a tall figure in the window, when I say my heart stopped it really did, the tall figure than walked away from the window and I looked at the old man and said, "What the hell just happened?" and the old man tells me that when you encounter the figure once it's a good chance he'll end up hunting you, he never leaves his victims alive or at least stable, I look in fear at the man, I have to get home immediately or else I might end up dying. We approach the city and he lets me out, I ask him for his number and he gives it to me, "310-666-9089" Very odd number but I don't say anything about it and I continue walking home, I decide to stop by McDonalds and get a burger, fries, and a sprite considering I was very hungry at the time. As I'm eating a man in a very nice suit, 6'7, and very handsome walks in, he looks at me and we both exchange eye contact. I immediately felt the most fear I ever experienced in my life, i put my food in my bag and ran for it, I decided to take a lyft the rest of the way and after I arrived home I had to grasp what the hell just happened, heck not even I know what just happened, did I just exchange eye contact with the devil or was it just me being scared? I honestly have no clue, it's currently 7:10 pm and I'm honestly really tired, I'm gonna rest to think this over and hopefully in the morning I could figure out what the hell is going on.

I wake up at 3:02 am, I have a strong feeling I am being watched for some reason but I ignore the feeling and get to calling my co worker at HQ since he's up around this time, he answers and asks "What do you want so early in the morning?" I tell him what happened to Tony and he looks in shock, "How the hell did this even happen?" He says and than suddenly he starts screaming and than the phone loses connection, I don't know what just happened but my gut is telling me to get the hell out of my house and go somewhere in public so I put some clothes on and do just that.
