5 Chapter 5: A New Friend!

"Hey!" called out someone to Logan, hearing which Logan turned around and saw a three to a four-year-old girl, with a plate that had a perfectly cut cake place on it. Logan didn't even look at the girl properly before staring at the cake for some time, the girl looked at the plate then at Logan, and extended her plate, and said, "You want some?". To her lovely question, Logan simply nodded his head, walked towards her, and picking up the spoon he started to enjoy the highest of class cakes that he would have never enjoyed in his previous life. Seeing that satisfied smile on his face, he chuckled a little and handed the plate to Logan and asked, "Your name is Logan, right?", and Logan nodded innocently to the girl whose name he hadn't even asked.

Once he finished the cake, he looked at the girl once again, finally noticing how familiar she was, and soon he remembered seeing this girl in a lot of advertisements and daily TV shows. He gasped and said, "you are Eliza Wallenstein! You come on TV and a lot of breakfast cereals.", hearing his words, the girl now identified as Eliza seemed a little proud, while no glimpse of embarrassment. This is to be expected as she meets new people daily and to interact with the camera and large audience, if one still feels embarrassed talking to other people, one can't call themselves an actor or an idol in Eliza's case.

Although Logan has seen this girl on TV multiple times but seeing her in person is a completely different thing, she has platinum-blond hair, with blue eyes matching Logan's, and a super cute face which he is sure would turn into beauty in the future. A little nervous and a little excited, Logan tried to converse with Eliza as best as he could, "How are you here?" but he still ended up asking a stupid question. However, to his surprise to his awkward question, she replied, "I came with my parents, they said that I could make new friends with people close to my age."

"Oh! Of course," exclaimed Logan, as he felt extremely stupid because of course, a child of age five or six would come here with his/her parents. To Eliza, this guy seemed too cute, he had perfect skin, bring eyes matching hers, and an extremely cute face, which she wants to pinch hard. But because she has been brought up with discipline, as she belongs to a family of actors, singers, and directors which a very high standing in any country's movie industry. Hence, she had pretty good self-control and patience for a child her age, but she ended up succumbing to her instinct and went ahead and pinched his cheeks while feeling embarrassed for the first time in a long time.

On the other side, Logan was just thinking about how to keep the conversation alive, but at this moment the girl in front of him brought her hands forward and pinched his cheeks, while he was surprised but he soon saw visible signs of embracement on Eliza as well. Both laughed at this, which broke the tension between them, which also made it easy for Logan to converse with her, although he had to keep in mind that he was a one-year-old and keep the content of his talk with her limited, it was still fun to chat with this adorable girl.

From the side, Sabus seeing this sighed and looked towards Marie and Jason who seeing him looked at Logan, and showed surprising expressions and another expression, different from each other. While Jason had a proud look which said, "That's my son!", but opposite to him Marie showed an expression that couldn't be explained, still one could make one sentence, "No! My lovely son. This is too soon.". Soon, the sound of laughter from Logan and Eliza attracted everyone's attention, receiving different expressions, while the Wallenstein family looked happy and expectant, other people looked with regret. Hoping to have brought their daughters or niece, but no one thought that a one-year-old could converse so properly.

Everyone wanted to create some sort of relation with the Hubert family, because this family has reached in almost all industries, which made everyone make their minds to introduce their daughters and sons to Logan, hoping to create a friendship with their sons and sort of romantic relationship with their daughters. One thing Logan was unaware of was the fact that polygamy was allowed in this world, and considered normal among successful or rich people especially as they can look after the welfare of multiple people.

Taking this opportunity Wallenstein family went to Jason and Marie to talk more enthusiastically, unaware of the ordeal around them Eliza and Logan, both enjoyed themselves by trying out different sweets and snacks around, while in between Eliza would always pinch Logan's cheeks. Soon the banquet came to an end, and before leaving Eliza promised to visit again, to which her parents agreed without her even asking, no one judge the Wallenstein family as Hubert family was just too big, not to mention everyone knows that Jason and Marie are honest and kind people, hence believing that it would be a golden opportunity for any family to marry their daughter.

Once the guest left, Marie rushed towards Logan and pinched his cheeks to which he resisted a lot but in vain. However, Marie didn't let go, instead said, "You allowed that girl to pinch them with any resistance, then why do you struggle so much against your own mother" with a fake yet almost real sob. Jason looked helplessly at his wife and son's antics and told Sabus to clean up, and escort the guest properly, to which Sabus simply bowed and replied, "Yes sir, Good Night."

Even while sleeping Marie didn't let of Logan, hugging her to sleep. Logan couldn't help but smile warmly at his mother and her love for him that just doesn't seem enough after whole days' worth of hugs, kisses, and pinches.
