Chapter 25: Full Moon and Transformation

Unfortunately for Dimitri and his gang, who were reinvigorated and uplifted, Kara paid them no attention. Instead, her eyes sparkled with interest when she witnessed Robert swiftly take down the five men with ease.

Kara could tell that Robert hadn't used much force; the ease with which he had defeated Dimitri's group was due to his exquisite timing and technique.

For this reason, Kara wasn't even upset about Robert's lack of interest in her. Instead, she continued to focus on him, wanting to find out where he lived. She planned to intercept him the next morning to get to know him better and uncover all his secrets. However, Kara's jaw dropped slightly, and her eyes widened in disbelief as she watched Robert pick up a large rock and begin his training.

Kara wasn't incapable of lifting the rock Robert was carrying; it was just that she had never seen anyone train with weights in such a manner before. And Robert's actions that followed puzzled her even more.

After his training, Robert took down several wild bulls and roasted them with his energy, then happily ate them...

"He... can he really eat that much? All that meat just gets digested in his stomach? What is his stomach made of?" Kara looked somewhat bewildered, then suddenly snapped back to reality and muttered to herself, "Wait, where is he going? He's heading towards Missouri, why is he going so far? I won't be able to see him if he goes any further..."

Indeed, compared to Clark, Kara, also a Kryptonian, was still somewhat naive. Not only because she hadn't been exposed to the sun as long as Clark but also because her abilities had awakened not too long ago; she wasn't as powerful yet.

Thus, while Clark could almost see through every corner of the Earth, Kara, who had been on Earth for eleven years, could only observe a distance as large as half a state.

After all, Clark had sixteen years of experience in mastering his abilities!

And most importantly, Clark was one of the most special Kryptonians! "Hmph! I'll definitely keep an eye on you tomorrow!" Kara huffed after losing sight of Robert, puffing her cheeks in determination to not let Robert escape from under her watch again.

On the other side, Robert was unaware of this. After completing his training and having his fill, he returned home. Clark sighed helplessly, aware of the troubles Robert had encountered, but he didn't agree with the victim-blaming notion, thinking it was due to Robert himself that he had attracted Dimitri and the others' antagonism.

Clark might be kind, but he didn't subscribe to the theory that "it takes two to tango."

"Okay, brother, stop sighing. Come out with me; I need your help with something..." Robert said with a smile, beginning to search the house for something, "Dad, where are the sunglasses? I remember you had a pair, didn't you?"

"Sunglasses? Why do you need sunglasses at night? Martha, where are my sunglasses?" Jonathan confessed he could never find anything in the house, so he decisively called for Martha.

"You really can't count on you guys to find anything!" Martha rolled her eyes, then took out a pair of sunglasses from the second box in the third drawer of the cabinet and handed them to Robert.

Faced with this situation, the three men in the house fell silent, none daring to speak at this critical moment. Robert gave Clark a look, and they nodded at each other and left together, leaving Jonathan to face the upcoming storm alone. Jonathan watched his two sons' heartless betrayal and opened his mouth but didn't dare ask them to stay.

"You're really wearing sunglasses out at night? Are you okay?" Clark teased Robert as they headed out together, "Also, what do you need my help with? It isn't that near-death experience thing you mentioned before, is it?"

"The near-death experience is too unreliable. I'm starting to doubt whether you can really control yourself, so let's forget it..." Robert mockingly referred to Clark's intelligence upon hearing the old topic brought up again, then pointed to the bright moon in the night sky.

"As for why I'm wearing sunglasses, it's because I can't see the full moon. You should be thankful that I haven't gone out at night for the past fifteen years. Otherwise, even if Martha and Jonathan wouldn't be harmed, our house would have been demolished!"

If not for the sunglasses blocking the view, Robert would have transformed into a giant ape by now. Naturally, he wanted to find a way to control this uncontrollable ability.

Therefore, after calculating today's date, Robert intentionally cut his training short to return home early to avoid any accidents.

Although Robert believed his martial spirit was quite firm, he had never experienced transforming into a giant ape before and couldn't guarantee he wouldn't lose control. Thus, bringing Clark along was a precaution.

After all, only someone as monstrously strong as Clark could stop him after transforming into a giant ape.

"Can't see the full moon? What happens if you do? Turn into a werewolf and tear the house apart?" Clark looked up at the bright moon, associating it with werewolves, but Robert's situation didn't quite fit.

"Not a werewolf, but a giant ape!" Robert shook his head, and his tail slid out of his pants, pointing to it, "If I lose control later, don't panic too much. Just cut off my tail, and I'll return to normal."

"A giant ape? How big? Will you really lose control? Why?" Clark, seeing Robert's pants tear again, bit his tongue on the clothing issue, instead expressing concern for Robert.

"How big it gets and whether I'll truly lose control, I'm not sure, as it's my first transformation. Just remember what I said. If I lose control, cut off my tail. That will bring me back..." Robert instructed while awkwardly starting to take off his clothes, knowing his outfit wouldn't withstand the transformation like Saiyan battle armor.

Clark: Σ(д;) "What? Why are you taking off your clothes?!" Clark looked bewildered at Robert's revealing act.

"I told you I'm going to transform into a giant ape. Do you think my clothes will survive?" Robert rolled his eyes, feeling even more convinced that his physically adept brother might indeed have a simple mind.

Robert: It turns out the problem wasn't with me after all!
