Chapter 23: Barry Allen's Kind Warning  

"I didn't even say which way I was going! How can you say it's not on the way?!" Kara Danvers watched Robert leave the classroom without looking back, shouting in frustration.

Since Kara started school, even though she had hidden most of her powers, no one had dared to ignore her like Robert did.

"No matter which way you go, it's not on my way..." After leaving the classroom, Robert's lips curled up slightly as he muttered quietly. Honestly, the performance of this superhuman was beyond his expectations. Not only had she successfully integrated into the lives of ordinary people, but she seemed to be doing even better than Clark.

"Hmph! Then I want to see which way you're really going. Tomorrow, I'll pretend to bump into you and see how you avoid me... Huh?" Kara didn't expect that Robert, having left the classroom, would have his words reach her ears. She smirked, proudly staring in Robert's direction, then suddenly her expression darkened, and she spoke discontentedly.

"Haven't I already warned them not to trouble Robert? Do they think I can't see them after leaving school? Well... theoretically, I shouldn't be able to see... No, I promised that guy I'd take care of these troubles, I can't let them make me look bad!"

Kara impulsively rushed out but stopped after a few steps because she saw Robert glance in a certain direction. She guessed that Robert had already noticed those students hiding there, which made her hesitate.

"Never mind, I can stop them once, but I can't always be there to stop them. Besides, his physical strength far exceeds that of ordinary people. It seems like letting him handle it might not be a bad idea, and it might also allow me to see what other special qualities he has!" After some thought, Kara decided to watch the drama unfold, curious about what other surprises Robert might bring her.

Even if something really went wrong, she was confident enough in her speed to intervene in time!

"I said it wouldn't be so easy to deal with!" Robert, noticing someone following him, wasn't annoyed but rather relieved. At least this proved Kara hadn't used some unknown special ability to solve the issue. Meanwhile, Robert was contemplating how to deal with the situation.

Hypnosis might not be suitable, as without weaving a story, it's hard to sustain its effect, and it's easily disrupted by external forces. And crafting a story is too troublesome; these classmates weren't worth such an effort.

"Then just beat them up. After all, no one said I couldn't take on five, as long as I don't exhibit superhuman strength or speed!" Soon, Robert made up his mind. However, at that moment, he raised his eyebrows because a classmate was quietly approaching him.

Robert remembered him. When Kara said she found him cute, all the male students looked at him with envy, without a hint of jealousy or displeasure.

Robert remembered his name, Barry Allen, the top student and teacher's pet in the class. Robert remembered Barry's name mainly because he was so popular with the teachers, almost always called upon in every class...

"Robert, you need to leave quickly. In school, because of Kara's presence, Demit and the others won't do anything to you, but after school, it's not certain..." Barry acted as if he was just passing by Robert, not even stopping his steps, just whispering a few words before walking away.

Clearly, Barry didn't want to get involved in trouble but also didn't want to see the new student being bullied. If Robert could just run away after hearing his words, that would be for the best!

"Interesting." Robert watched Barry walk away and then gave him a knowing look, smiling. Robert had a good impression of someone like Barry, who was kinder than those who just stand by and watch, especially since Barry managed to protect himself while warning Robert.

However, feeling somewhat fond of Barry didn't mean Robert would do as Barry suggested and quickly leave. After all, avoiding trouble once doesn't mean it won't come back. It's better to deal with it once and for all.

Thinking this, Robert headed towards a secluded alley. He had no intention of teaching Demit and his group a lesson on the main street, and neither did they, as making a scene would be bad for everyone...

"That kid went into that secluded alley, hey, he actually found a good spot!" Demit and the other four exchanged looks and chuckled, "Let's go, give that kid a lesson, and keep him away from my Kara!"

"What do you mean 'your Kara'? She's my Kara!" Cain, Jeffrey, Felipe, and Jimmy almost simultaneously glared at Demit in retaliation, then looked at each other with disdain and confidence.

"Kara is mine, you losers have no chance of being Kara's boyfriend. Kara wouldn't even give you a second look!"

Yes, unlike the bullies from Robert's previous school, those troubling Robert now were Kara's admirers. They just wanted to teach Robert a lesson to keep him away from Kara.

As for the fact that it was Kara who approached Robert and showed interest in him, calling him cute, the group selectively forgot about that.

"Alright, let's not fight among ourselves. When it comes to pursuing Kara, it's every man for himself. But Kara hasn't shown any interest in us like she has in Robert. He's our biggest threat; we must keep him away from Kara!" After a while, Demit took a deep breath and spoke solemnly.

"Okay! Let's hurry, don't let him get away!" The other four exchanged glances and quickly followed in the direction Robert had gone.

"Pfft! You think you can chase me? You're as weak as ants; I'm afraid I might accidentally squash you if I get too close..." Kara, still inside the school, listened to Demit and the others' conversation and muttered disdainfully.

"Robert is more interesting, different from them. Could it be that he's not human, but an alien? Or is it because of a genetic mutation that he turned out this way?"

Kara said this, her eyes shining as she looked in Robert's direction, somewhat looking forward to seeing how Robert would deal with Demit and the others.

If Demit and the others could hear what Kara said, who knows what they would think... Oh, they are pure simps; they would pretend they didn't hear anything and continue to live in their own world.
