1 prologue 1 sick

SOE, 07: 33 pm.

The small digital alarm in the room sounded across the whole room, where a teen boy is resting akwardly

The lad is fast asleep , he couldn't hear the sound of the alarm even though the sound is deafening.

The small black digital alarm has been tingling for more than 30 minutes now , and the teen is yet to switch it off.

soon he finally responded by raising his upper torso and scratching his eyes weakly, he looked around the room with his sleepy eyes .

Last night,He slept while playing video game , he got carried away with it ,but nature cannot be defeated,he fell asleep .

just then he heard the peeping sound of the alarm clock beside him, he shift his gaze to the direction of the sound , and he had a frightened look on his face .

" Oh no ,late again, I don't want to be late, not again, not again" the sleep he was enjoying earlier vanished when he saw the vibrating alarm clock close to his bed ,he responded to the long call from the digital clock which he failed to answer for a long time - he switched it off.

The lad stood up from the small beding in the room , which is a little bigger than other room in other houses ,because it is the only room in the house apart from the small bathroom and the kitchen which he haven't touched for the last three years .

Going to the kitchen to prepare his meal by himself is always a misery , anytime he tried to cook ,it always ends up as a disaster ,either the food is salty , burnt ,or a combination of all.

sometimes he end up causing a fire accident in the small house which might take more than two hours to stop it .

He skipped to the bathroom in the small house with all the strength he have in him , he took off the top he is wearing on his way to the bathroom.

he drew the towel on the handle of the door and dashed into the bathroom ,

* SFX for the drops of water splashing on a tiles ground .

not spending more than 3 minutes in the bathroom ,he ran out from the bathroom wiping the waters on his face with his blue towel.

he rushed to the bedroom hurriedly placing the blue towel on top of the bed, he tidied up his body ,by combing his hair ,he almost forgot about his dental while he could remember that he rushed to take care of it .

' oh Jason you are an idiot would you sleep off ' he cursed inwardly ,while putting on his shirt

soon he dashed out of the room again, this time tying his shoelaces he finished dressing and he had his blue school bag on his back.

Jason Chao is his name, twelve years old, the only child of his parent which he will never see again .

By his name you can tell he is from an American-Chinese family , because the people of SOE ( survivor of Earth ) can love each other despite the colour , language or believes .

Jason been an American-Chinese human he maintained the look of a Chinese and his hairdo and hair type is like that of an American.

He never knew his parent in real life, he only saw the photograph of both of his parents, and he hung them close to his bed .

sometimes when he is down and frustrated by the things going on around him because he had no parent ,he would talk to the photograph of his parents.

Jason Chao is the best in science and computer in his basic school , he also top of the class in mathematics and physis.

Jason knew about all this ,Becauseof the several textbooks and experiment notes his father left for him to read ( AN : find out the purpose in chapter 4-5 )

from the experiment he have read from his father's textbook and gotten from the people who knew his father ,they said his father was an inventor who always tried to achieve the impossible.

He got a scholarship by the educational networks in SOE because of his best performance in school and the consideration that he is an orphan.

he dashed out of the small house, taking a look at the watch in his hands he found out it is almost 8.

"no not the first day, not the first day, how come I slept off, that alarm wasn't loud enough " he mumbled to his self while running like someone is after him.

The street in SOE is always lively , the place is well urbanised, the ground is tiled for cars and pedestrians.

all the houses are well furnished and well constructed , ranging from the lowest to the three storey buildings to the tallest skyscraper.

Jason gave his best to project forward and soon he have covered enough distance .

he saw the SOE armored vehicle a black Paramount group marauder, he couldn't tell how many people are seated inside , but he knows that only the military are allowed

In order to avoid been sighted by the men in the armor car , he stopped running and started walking slowly , he don't want to be caught by the men because coming late to school is punishable, and coming with a soldier or anybody gives higher punishment.

He mixed with the people standing in queues purchasing hamburgers from a female vendor, though he had no money with him ,he had to stay and act like he is waiting for his turn .

the people there are mostly made of older people , no child is present exceot Jason who seems to be the only kid there .

The armor vehicle passed with two of the men seated inside the car viewing the area with advance SOE tech cameras.

Jason dashed out of the spot he was staying ,and soon he continued Running agian till he heard the sound of a very low pitched voice of a man speaking to someone.

" young boy stop right there " he heard the very masculine voice coming from his back, he froze instantly then he started cursing " they got me, not today".

he heard the sound of a car stopping beside him his heart is thinking, he turned back and his heart started beating fast.

" good evening sirs, I mean good afternoon, no good day sirs " he fidgeted, he is so scarred that he forgot the time of the day.

" Are you the owner of this, you are the only kid in this area and I guess this is for you " the man with a dark shirt with a military trouser raised a school bag similar to that of Jason.

he recognized the bag as his and he started thinking again ' my bag when and how did it leave my back 'he tought and he started touching his back, looking for his backpack ,his hands couldn't find any in his back .

he was too carried away that his bag fell off without him noticing that something left his back .

" um sorry it is mine, I was in a hurry, I couldn't even feel my backpack leaving my back " he answered, his mind flashback to the time he spotted the car and started mixing with the crowd.

" And you were supposed to be in school by now, you know you are very late it 15 minutes past eight already and you are here " another officer putting on his complete military uniform,rolled the think bullet proof window and he joined the conversation.

" hehe.. I woke up very late today, I am very very sick that is why " he lied trying to cover up.

He knew the truth that he woke up late because of the anime and video game he played last night,he played casino video games throughout the night and just one racing game.

" you are sick, and you have the strength to run that fast, we saw you running from that point before mixing with the people buying from that lady " the driver wearing casual clothes black pants, and a black shirt with Bluetooth headphone on his left ear.

"er.. I was late , I want to get to school earlier , that is why I ran now I can't even feel my body and my head hurts " he lied agian twisting his waist,he put on the act of been sick in presence of the men .

The one driving looked at the one standing outside the car , and he gave certain signs with his eyes.

The one on black standing outside understood immediately and he faced Jason who is busy acting ill.

" good luck for you young boy we have one vacant seat we can take you to school since you said you are sick "

The one on black shirt and outside the car threw the bag to Jason with just a little of his strength and the bag seems to overpower Jason and he seems to be falling back .

"have you eaten at all ,you look so weak ,and who are your parents ,why can't they let you stay at home and treat your Illness"

Jason faced turned pale and sad when the men asked about his his parent " my name is Jason Chao, and I have no.." he couldn't finish his sentence when the one with full uniform cut in.

" have no parent, oh you are the little boy that won the scholarship, alright get in we will take you to the hospital, before that you can eat your lunch now, we will get you another lunch now get in.

"no I am.., I mean I don't like a hospital, I can get better, I only need to eat and get to the school early, I can visit the school infirmary later " he lied again, he knew the disadvantages of taking drugs when you are ok.

"ok if that is what you wish, get in let go it's almost eight-thirty and you will be very late, we will help you talk to the school security so you won't get punished ".

All of them entered the car including Jason Chao, he is happy that he won't get punished on the first day, and he will have money for breakfast.

"This is good, and those beauties in school will love me, for having a connection with the army, I know they will fall for a cute guy like me," he thought to his self pretending to be asleep to make the men present in the car think he is sick.
