4 School

I underestimated how boring school is when you know everything. I talked to Matt and El between breaks and during class I slept. In Algebra, my teacher saw me sleeping and asked me to do a problem that she just taught us how to do. I went up to the board solved it and went back to sleep. I think she was shocked that I got it right cause she didn't say anything afterwards and just let me sleep.

After school was over, I walked back home. Today was exhausting and I slept for most of it.

When I made it back home, I asked mom, "Would it be possible for me to test out of the rest of my classes and graduate this year?"

"Yeah, I've looked into it before. Your school has a system where you can apply to 'test out' of a class and if you get an 80% or above on the test you get the credit for that class. Do you want to try that?" Mom asked

"Yeah. I was so bored today that I just slept through my classes. The only thing that saved me from losing it was that Matt and Ell were there." I say with a deep sigh at the end.

"Okay, sweetie. I'll call the school and set it up. The tests will probably be a week long just so you know." Mom says as she walks toward her workshop and pulls out her phone.

'Shop.'

[Shop

Points: 1000

-Stone skin - This ability allows the user to have skin with the hardness of stone. Cost: 1000

-Electrification - This ability allows the user to cover his body in electricity, but with little to no control. Overuse causes the user to become an idiot for an hour. Cost: 1000

.

.]

'System, why is there only things that cost 1000 Points?'

[The lowest cost for an ability in 1000 points. Also, the shop can only show you what you can afford.]

I guess that makes sense. I swipe everything away. The abilities I have probably cost a lot. I'll train them up and then decide what I need.

'System, how do I get more points?'

[You get 1 point for every person you save. You also get points from Missions, but you have yet to unlock the Missions window.]

'How do I unlock it?'

[That's for me to know and you to find out.]

I really hate this system sometimes.

Anyways, I don't think I'll be buying anything anytime soon. I'll train the abilities I have first. Then once I reach level 10 in telekinesis I'll do some patrolling for small time criminals and earn some points. It's likely that the mission window will become available when I save someone or when a big event happens. I'll find out when the time comes, but for right now let's get to cleaning.

I begin cleaning the house as usual, but instead of physically doing it I use my telekinesis to do most of the work. I even used it to do my homework. The writing looks pretty sloppy, but for the most part, I think I did pretty well.

By the end of the day, I've already leveled up a couple times.

[Telekinesis (level 5(22.53%)) - The ability to move objects with your mind. Current level allows user to lift five objects at at time and 50 lbs maximum each or one object of 250 lbs maximum.]

Alright, let's try using it on myself. I focus on my body and try to lift my self up off the ground. When a red window appeared in front of me with a familiar sound

*DING*

['Flight' skill not found.]

You're kidding me. I can't use my telekinesis to fly!? I was looking forward to flying around in the sky. That's really disappointing. Oh well. I can't do much about it right now.

"Time for bed." I say as I jump, yes literally jump, into bed and go to sleep.

The next morning I cook breakfast using only my telekinesis and then head off to school.

When I get to school, I see Matt and Ell waiting for me. I explain to them that I'm gonna 'test out' of the classes I need so I can graduate at the end of the year.

"Okay. We'll do that too." Matt says with a serious face while Ell just nods to what he said.

"Are you serious?" I respond, obviously confused by what he just said.

"Yeah, we've already started studying college level materials." Ell says.

"Then why are you still attending school? Shouldn't you have already 'test out' of all of your classes?" I say in utter shock and disbelief.

"Obviously for you. You didn't think we would just up and leave you all alone, right?" Matt says with a cocky grin on his face. A sudden urge to punch him came over me, but I held it back.

"We'll call out parents to set up the tests for us. You head to class and we'll meet you there." Ell tells me as she lightly pushes me in the direction of my first class.

I start walking towards the class and sit down in my usual spot, the far back right corner of the classroom. Today I brought 5 metal balls in by bag. I'm going to try and keep them around me at all times so I can use them to train and as weapons if I have to.

There's still a couple minutes until the bell rings so I look into my bag and start moving the balls around without them hitting each other. I keep moving them faster and faster to see how good my control is. I also realized during my training yesterday that if I improve my control over my powers, instead of leaving it all to the system, it makes it faster to level up the ability.

I get to a point where I don't think I can go any faster without losing control over the ball and I try to push it further.

*CLACK*

I lost control over one of the balls and another one hit it. 'I really hope no one heard where that came from.' I think as I lift my head. What met me were a bunch of eyes. Around 6 kids were looking at me along with the teacher. I zip my bag up and put it on the ground next to me against the wall. Then everyone carries on with what they were doing. Except the teacher. She comes over to me and I panic a little.

She finally reached me and leaves a note on my desk. It read:

"Report to the vice-principal's office before class begins. It's to talk about when you're going to test out. Good luck."

I then pick my bag back up and leave the classroom while calming myself down. Once outside the doorway, I begin walking towards the main office where Mr. Peters', the vice-principal, office is located.

When I get there, I check to see whether or not the door is open. I see that it's open and make my way to his office. I'm a little surprised when I see my mom there talking to Mr. Peters, but I guess it makes sense for her to be here.

When I walk in the both stop talking and look over towards me. My mom smiles at me and tells me to sit down in the chair next to her. Mr. Peters just kept a blank face and said hello when I sat down.

The meeting was just for him to confirm that this is what I wanted to do. He kept trying to talk me out of it, because he didn't think I could do it. But I just dismissed most of what he said.

It was confirmed that I would be taking the tests all next week. He also said that I would be excused from school to study for the tests. That gives me more time to train I guess.

When we made it back home I texted Matt and Ell that I would be taking it next week and that I was excused from school. Then I started my training (cleaning) for the day.
