Chapter 7

Dad stopped the car in front of a restaurants and then he turned back where mom was sitting.

He smiled his amazing smile and said,"Amelia do you remember this place?"

Mom nodded and smiled

"Yeah . How could I forget?" she said

Suddenly, mom turned to me and said ,"Your dad and I used to come here every weekend"

"And your mom used to keep me waited sometimes" dad said

"Oh , I kept you waited? You turned up at our first date so late , don't you remember?" mom said , she laughed.

I was happy to see them together. I looked at the sky . Thank God, it wasn't sunny.

"No , it was you for whom I had to wait for" dad said

Mom looked at me said,"That's why I say your dad has a weak memory"

Dad raised his hands and said,"Okay, I give up . You win"

"But you will have to agree that you kept me waited for Felix " dad said

"Yeah, I agree", mom said

"Wait , Felixus was there when you dated mom?", I asked

"Yep , Felixus was just a baby then", dad answered

"And we kept on dating for two years and when your mom was pregnant with Diana , we married", dad said

"Oh I missed the good things", I said

"Ok, um , we are going to come back here after we visit the park" dad said

"Which Park?", I asked

"The park we used to take you after your sisters...." mom said

Dad didn't let mom complete her sentence and jumped in,

"You know what? The park has healing powers . If you think you are sad , all you need to do is go to the park and listen to the sounds of the wind and the surroundings and it works only if you want it . That is you should have your mind clear for the power to work on you"

"Oh, that's so complicated", I said

"Not actually. Once, you see the place you will have your mind clear", mom said

"And it's a romantic place too", dad added

"Yes, very, you can bring your girlfriend there", dad said

I cleared my throat

"Um, it's actually boyfriend", I said

Dad looked back at mom and said, "Sorry"

After about 10 minutes, we reached the park .

I looked around . It was so green and the green wasn't natural. Like someone had coloured the ground with light green. It looked like we were trapped in a picture book.

I looked at my parents,"Why didn't anyone take me here before?", I asked

"We always wanted to bring you here , sweetheart ", mom said and surprisingly dad came forward and kissed my cheek.

"I am happy to be here with you today"dad said.

Well , actually I didn't like physical contact very much and I didn't like to be called sweetheart but it didn't matter because after so many years, I was with both my parents and actually I felt that I liked the kiss in my cheek and mom calling me sweetheart.

I looked at them and smiled

"I love you", I said.

"Go , roam ", dad said and smiled.

"And don't go too far", mom added.

"It's okay, go wherever you want within this park", dad said

I saw mom look at him and smile.

And suddenly I was so happy.

I took a step back and saw around me . The place was so big . Anyone could get lost there.

There were a few benches between trees and the trees were shedding flowers like in Autumn even though it was summer.

I sat on the bench and looked back , my parents were chatting cheerfully.

And suddenly , I saw a picture of a small girl in front of my eyes . I blinked few times. And then I closed my eyes , the picture of the small girl floated in front of me . I kept my eyes closed for a few minutes.

There were two girls playing cheerfully.

"What if we get lost here?", one of them said

"It would be fun", the other said.

"I want to own this place", the little girl said.

"This place cannot be owned, Abi " the other said .

I opened my eyes . Abi? The name rang in my ears . Someone, used to call me that . It seemed so familiar. Did my parents use to call me Abi?

No . As far as I remembered, never.

I closed my eyes again.

Now , the face seemed familiar.

The little girl looked back and started talking to a young woman who was walking with a man of her age .

My mom looked so beautiful. So did my dad , so handsome.

"Come on Diana, Abigail, let's go home" , mom said.

The little Abigail and the little Diana ran towards Dad and dad took both of them in his arms and hugged them and both of them kissed our cheeks . I could almost feel their kiss in my cheek and my parents hugging me and Diana pulling my cheek.

I smiled and rubbed the tears.

I really missed my sisters.

I didn't remember any of this happening but anyway it felt great.

I looked around for some time. Some couples were sitting on the benches, talking peacefully.

That's when Dad called me.

"Come , Abi , let's eat sushi" dad said.

I didn't notice before that I had turned to Abigail. I didn't turn to Zach and by the way , sushi was my favorite food.
