Chapter 2

Melis hated the idea of time travel but she couldn't refuse Mr .Fariaz .

Mr.Fariaz looked at her and said,"Miss , I hope you wouldn't mind to do that thing of yours"

She wanted to say no .

Since we shared an empathy link , I could read her thoughts partly .

She was thinking, "Why ? CCTV camera would have been a better option "

I looked at her and thought, "Sorry . I couldn't help it . You know, Mr Fariaz would be against me in everything " .

"It's ok . He would eat our minds no matter what", she thought, looking at me.

Mr .Fariaz cleared his throat.

"So ..."

"Um ,yeah , I was thinking...." before Melis could complete what she was saying , Mr

.Fariaz interrupted.

" Very well , let's see if Abigail killed the person or not" , he said , his eyes bright with mischief.

" Hey I didn't kill the man " , I protested .

Seriously this man is crazy , I thought.

"Whatever it is , your sister or you doesn't matter , since you both share the same bloodline and Diana killing him means you killing him, right"?,he replied .

I was angry .

A lightning struck somewhere in the distance.

I wanted to quarell but it wouldn't help anything.

So I tried my best to keep my mouth shut.

Melis looked at the entrance of the shopping mall and folded her arms.

Since , it was midnight there were less people in the mall and the mall was eventually evacuated after my sister murdered the man.

Melis looked at the entrance for few minutes with her same serious expression.

"What do you see ", Mr Paul asked.

Melis didn't answer.

She kept looking at it and suddenly I saw a little light in her eyes .

Then , suddenly she looked at me and said ,

"The victim of murder is actually a thief . He went to steal 100000 dollars in the bank inside it that's when Diana appeared and ..."

"Whoa,whoa,whoa , go slow " Mr , Fariaz interrupted.

"Okay , continue", I said

" That's when Diana appeared and controlled the thief's mind to kill himself"

We were taken aback by what she said .

Diana is a Nutellion and Nutellion s promote stealing .

I mean that's what they do .

They steal money , jewelleries , kill people.

But if the murdered man was really a thief then why would Diana kill him?

"We can check the CCTV " , I said , giving them the same idea again.

"Or maybe we can ask Melis to go further back ", Mr . Fariaz said.

I was again angry . Why won't he listen to what I was trying to suggest?

Another lightning struck somewhere far .

" I tried going back but nothing so important"

Melis replied.

"Okay , we should really see the CCTV",Mr Paul said , the same curious expression on his face.

"Are you sure there was nothing important further back?", Mr .Fariaz said , trying to force Melis to say everything she saw again

Melis waited for some time as of going through the past again.

" I am very much sure." she said . This time she sounded much more confident.

We entered the mall with the purpose of seeing the CCTV footage .

We went up to the enquiry desk while Mr Paul looked around everywhere, trying to find a clue of murder .

Even though I am not a detective, I tried doing the same . But it was useless since normal people do not have the same brain and eyes as a detective .

"I am the head of the cops"Mr .Fariaz said proudly .

He didn't had to show an ID since everyone in that locality knew him as the" disgusting, useless head of the cops".

Just kidding but everyone knew him.

"There was a murder here , right?" asked Mr Paul .

" Not here but outside the mall " , replied the man sitting in the enquiry desk.

"Did you see anyone worth the suspect"?

asked Mr Paul.

"Well there was a man who was acting very smart here .", replied Mr Enquiry man

"So , did you suspect him?"

"Not actually"

"Did you keep your eyes on him constantly?"

"No . There was a slight distraction . "

"And what was 'the distraction'"?

"There was a fire alarm"

I looked at Melis . She shrugged.

"What time was it?"

"About 12:00 " , he said thinking a little.

"And when did the murder take place?"

"I am not sure but about 12:30 I think"

"Did you go to check the fire alarm?"

"Yeah but I came to know that it was false"

At this point , Mr . Fariaz interrupted as usual.

"Can't we just go and check the CCTV?"

"Sure " replied Mr.Enquiry man.

"Maybe a little later"said Mr Paul.

"Okay as you wish" Fariaz said looking disgusted.

Just when the man was going to say anything the desk phone rang .

"Just a sec", he excused himself.

I looked at Mr .Paul .

" Did you find a clue?", I asked.

"Well , I have to investigate further" he replied, looking at the man who was engaged in a conversation over phone like he was suspecting him.

Alex said , "Abigail , what do you think about all of this?"

I looked at his brown hair and his blue eyes , he was handsome.

He was my boyfriend too.

Just then , the man hung up the phone and said , directing to a room and said ,"This way to the CCTV room"

Just then I happened to notice Mr Fariaz .

He had a wide smile on his face .

What was so satisfying?

Before he caught me seeing him , I turned my face .

We went to the room and soon Mr .Paul got engaged in a conversation with the men there .

While , I went to see the CCTV footage.

We saw the footage from 8 :00 p.m. because Mr Fariaz insisted on doing so . Don't ask me why . I never understood his character.

Everyone (Melis ,Alex and Mr Fariaz and me myself) got excited at 11:55 .

But surprisingly , the footage went Black and White when it was about 12:01 .
