Chapter 12

Mom didn't ask me anything about Melis and me together and nothing much happened that night except dad returned late and then we had an argument again about me being a Saviour.

While I was going to sleep, I heard him tell Mom ,

"I have the do something about him ."

Lying on my bed, I kind of felt odd thinking about Melis

I remembered her saying something

Alex and Adrian Know that too. She said her grandfather was a Nutellion and he killed his own daughter after she was born. That's why she hate Nutellions but her grandmother raised her up . She wasn't a superhuman.

I didn't see any dreams that night so I could sleep peacefully.

I woke up at 8:30 in the morning. Before dad could talk to me , I had my breakfast and started off for school.

I didn't see my friends at the bus stop which was quite odd since we walled to school together.

Anyway, I met Mr. Paul on my way . He was talking to someone over phone.Mr. Fariaz wasn't accompanying him .

"Hi", I said when he put his phone in the pocket.

"Hey. Going to school?", he asked.

"Yeah", I said.

"How come your friends are not with you?", he asked.

"I don't know", I answered.

"Did you get to know anything about the murder?", I asked.

"Yes , very little. I think your sist.... Diana had an argument with the man ", he said.

He knew that I hated someone calling Diana or Felixus my sister.

"Oh . So you think that the victim of murder was a Nutellion?", I asked, more excited

"Yeah.. just then his phone rang.

"Um you will get late for your school. I will talk to you later", he said and answered the phone

Just when I was going to enter my school, someone came running and pushed me aside.

I looked back at him .

Or her . The person was wearing a mask . What is a Nutellion doing here? , I thought.

"Sorry, Abi", the person said.

It was a girl . Wait, Abi ?

I wanted to stop her but not in front of everyone

I didn't want Diana to embarrass herself. I don't know why . If she was alone with me , I could have at least asked her under who specifically she was working for.

But there were other students too , including my friends.

They were surrounding someone. I heard cries from the crowd.

I looked back. She didn't stop .

I could have run and caught up with her , maybe now that no one was looking but my legs forced me to walk towards the crowd.
