He thought as he looked at a blue panel in the air, watching what was supposed to only exist in a video game.
'Master, don't worry. I will guide you, and soon you will recover your memories.' replied the Crystal patiently.
'I am your Master?! I never rem--"
'Don't think too much.'
Leo didn't even understand what was going on. Such a sudden, unnatural change was sure to shock him. The Crystal's words were confusing him even more.

He remembered a web novel story which he had happened to read with Zach on his phone where people are gifted systems. The people would end up becoming powerful!
"So, I have been gifted with a system; was it that diamond crystal?" Leo said, remembering the crystal.
'Yes, it was me. This is your talent, and it's greater than anything this world has ever seen. You're unique. Others have talent, while you steal talent. With this System you can have SSS Rank Talent, affinities, and even steal cultivation. Everything you set your eyes on will be yours as long as you make a move. But your strength is a little bit pathetic, so get ready to get stronger! There are many things hidden from this world, and talent higher than SSS is just the beginning. Once you're strong enough, you will know more.'
'So that's why it's called the thief system, huh? It's like you know my desires,' Leo thought to the Crystal, and a devilish grin crept across his face.
"Just you wait! I will avenge my father's death and steal everything you hold dear! Your wife, your wealth, your authority, your cultivation—even your life will be at my mercy. I will make you regret ever knowing or having contact with me and my father! Just you wait!" He said clenching his fist tightly.
If anyone heard him or knew who he was talking about, they'd call him crazy—that he was just courting death.
'Woah! It seems like you have a deep grudge like last time. Take his strength as a goal, and don't let it affect you!'

'Which last time is this thing talking about?'
Right now, he had to prepare for the raid tonight. He had to steal that pill; it can cure all the illnesses of a mortal, no matter what kind of illness it was. As long as the sick person is a mortal, the person would be as good as new after five minutes of taking the pill..
He made a quick plan. It was simple. Sneak into shop wearing shoes that could be easily tracked, break in quietly, steal the pill, and lead them away to a confusing location. A place full of shoe tracks perhaps, then after a few turns and bends, he will head back home.
He would wear a mask, after smearing powder to his face so that the camera in the shop won't be able to understand his face after 'Seeing through the mask.'
It was then that he remembered, what he will tell his mom. He can't say he stole the pill.
"I will just tell her that Zach gave it to me. Right! I will have to make a mask quickly. Not from wood, but from a piece of cloth," he thought out loud before walking out of the forest.
Thick, tall trees were scattered randomly everywhere. Surprisingly, there were no large carnivorous beasts; only rabbits and other small herbivorous beasts. The sun was almost set, and crickets had began to chirp, a sign that night was coming. Despite all the noises, scenery, and other possible distractions, Leo was thinking about something else.
Zach was a rich fellow that lived in a city nearby. He was a friend of Leo's when they were still rich. He was still his friend now.
There was this virtual reality game that came out two years before the time people began to sense Qi. It was mysterious and quickly overtook all other games in terms of popularity for a few different reasons:
First, the in-game account is connected to the account in the real world, so money there could be put to a real-life bank account. Through it one can earn real money; not just in small amounts, but in large bulks!
One can earn money by killing beasts, killing other players, stealing and reselling, and others learn work like alchemy, blacksmithing, Array Formations, etc.
Second, everything there feels so real that some people began to tell themselves that everything was real.
Third, things there are dangerous; one second, you're alive, the next second you're dead. To survive, one has to be strong, and to be strong one has to level up.
The overall game is divided into sanctuaries. Everyone starts at level 1. The first sanctuary is unable to accommodate those over level 100, which causes an automatic transport the second sanctuary.
Despite the fact that the game was created a few years ago, only a few were able to reach Level 100. There were at most five players, and they were the only ones in the second sanctuary.
Those people are more famous than music or acting celebrities. The money they made was also not in any way inferior to that of those stars; they themselves became stars, Professional Gaming Stars, and everyone looked up to them.
In the game, there are several classes, or jobs, to choose from: mage, healer, swordsman, and many more. There were also some hidden classes.
At first, people were complaining, but soon they got used to it. It was foolish, though, as no one even asked themselves, 'why did death in the game affect that of the real world?'
Their only hope was that, a death reduced one by only one level. If the player is at level 1, a death will kill you in the real word. So, the higher your level, the more deaths you will pass through before dying for real. For example, if a person at level 51 is killed 51 times in the game, he will end up dying in real life.
When killed, the player gets spawned in a graveyard naked—without clothes or equipment.
Some people used this to their advantage. If they wanted someone to die for real, all they had to do is first kill the person, rush to the nearest graveyard, then kill the person over and over again until he no longer respawns.
Leo was very interested in this game. With the system's powers, he will steal the game's helmet. He will be the first in history to ever do that.
No one had ever tried that before!
