9 Caught the Thief?
He did not even ask the System anything, how foolish of him!
Sighing, he quickly entered the store. The interior looks as beautiful as it has always been.
Bringing out his torch, he went straight to the survellience camera, as he had already known where it was. The camera was placed in such a discreet but unnatural way; in a place no one would ever think it would be. It was even smaller than normal spy cameras at only about two inches in diameter, making it even harder to spot.
If he hadn't researched the information about the shop, he would not have even known that there was a spy camera installed there at all!
He blocked the view of the camera with a black tape before going straight to the shelf were the Alchemy pill was kept.
He did not need anything else and needed to grab the pill and get the hell out of this place. That gut feeling was getting stronger and stronger as time passed by. His intuition was screaming at him, telling him to run and get the hell out of this place—that he will get caught any minute from now.
All he wanted to do now was to grab that pill and run out of here at his fastest speed.
Even though he knew that he would probably be caught soon, he was confused, 'Why is this place quiet like there is no one here? Is there really no one hiding here? How did she know? Did someone tell her or something?'
This and another million of questions were swirling in his head right now. He knew more than anything, not to underestimate Cultivators, because with Qi they could do anything (or so it seemed). They could talk and not even a single word would be heard because they would prevent sound from escaping to the surroundings by forming a Qi shield or something like that. They can also use Qi to form something related to their affinity, like void, fire, ice, earth, wood, water, and many more.
They are many other things that make them dangerous to mortals.
With the plan of taking the pill and running away In mind, he quickly went into action.
He swiped the small, white Jade bottle the pill was in, and started running to the open window—or rather, was about to start running.
Whoosh!
He heard the sound of something tearing through the air, and before he could even understand what was happening, a strong, firm hand gripped him tightly on his shoulders.
"Hmm...a Mortal?"
He heard the cold voice of the person griping him and was scared as hell!
He felt a mysterious and sinister aura envelope him and tried to probe him, but the person with this aura confirmed the word of the person gripping him from behind. The person found out that he has no dantian and Meridians.
The dantian is a place that is located at a person's stomach or diaphragm where Qi is stored. Every Qi Cultivator has a dantian. A person's dantian also grows bigger, more elastic, and stronger with each stage or realm breakthrough.
No matter how hard he tried to break free from the grip, the person was just too strong for him. It was just like an ant trying to break free from the snout of an anteater or a rabbit trying to break free from the mouth of a lion.
Sighing, Leo resigned himself to his fate, for he knew struggling more was just a waste of energy. The person holding him was a Cultivator whom had broken through the 7th stage of Body Cultivation and is in the Qi Realm. He would be at least at the late stage of the Qi Absorbtion Realm.
He could not understand the crux of it al. To think that they would prepare all this just for him.
'Wait!' He screamed in his head remembering a particular scene of him beating up the gang that wanted to beat him up.
'Did she see me do that? Fuck. That must have been the thing that strengthened her suspicion on the way I looked at the pill before beating them. But that alone would not give her the information that I would steal it tonight. That means she has a treasure...a rare one!'
Despite being caught, the thought of a rare treasure being in this room made him greedy for more. He did not regret his decision of coming here, even though he was at a disadvantageous position right now.
He looked around. Strangley, these people had not remove his mask to know who he is. His hair was well hidden, so they would not know who he was unless they removed it. But instead, they were discussing about something that they were supposed to discuss after removing the mask.
He looked at each of them, They were four men and a woman. He was sure that the woman must be Miss Alex. One of the men was about 1.85 meter tall, a pretty tall person. His intuition was driving him crazy! His intuition strongly told him that this man was the most dangerous.
He could slightly sense a mysterious, sinister, chaotic, and devouring aura around this man. He was sure that this aura must be related to either his talent or his affinity.
Whatever it is, it's more dangerous than any normal affinity like water, earth, or other natural elemental affinities
He didn't know why, but since the start of this mission, his sense, intuition, gut feeling, or whatever one calls it, had gone wild. It was always warning him of this or that, and right now he was getting a slight headache from all the warnings.
But it's not like he did not like it. It would be a life saver for him and warns him about certain dangers.
Meanwhile, the one holding him took him outside, and they continued their discussion.
"I thought you said that the thief was of the Qi Refining Realm. To think I had to come here all because of a petty mortal trying to steal from a Cultivator's store!"
"It was supposed to be him," replied Alex, while thinking.
'My treasure, Senohe, has never been wrong before. Something is wrong somewhere.'
"Who do you think you are to try to deceive us?!"
"I'm sorry. You can go now, just tie him and leave him there."
"Hmph!" The one holding Leo coldly snorted before tying Leo, If not that he was paid for this job, he would have gone berserk. 'This is disrespectful, calling a high Cultivator to catch a mortal! Only a foolish person would do that.'
Meanwhile, the mysterious man had been silent throughout, and Leo was having a conversation with his crystal/System.
