Capture the Flag

Lucifer just went and sat on a empty bunk as the Ares cabin stared at him. A door at back burst open and out ran Clarisse La Rue. Her face was burnt red and fury could be seen in her eyes.

"What were you thinking?" She thundered. "He is a brother of yours so why did you attack him without provocation." Lucifer just sat calmly and replied.

"I didn't."

"Do you think I am stupid. I just saw him escorted to the infirmary because of multiple fractures and broken bones. It is possible he is internally hemorrhaging aswell."

"Well maybe you shouldn't allow your campers try to bully newcomers." The words stopped Clarisse in her tracks.

"What did you say?"

"That your camper got attacked because he tried to initiate me by attacking."

"That fucking idiot." She roared before turning and storming away and out the doors. The rest of Ares cabin stared at him in shock. Lucifer didn't mind them and jumped up. He left the cabin in search of Luke and Annabeth.

Remembering that Chiron said Hermes cabin Lucifer asked the first passerby. He was pointed in the direction of dull brown building with chipped painting. By far the largest building Lucifet had seen in camp and above the doorway was a caduceus. Lucifer walked that way and knocked on the door. It opened up to reveal the most cramped space Lucifer had ever seen. He could see Luke at the back scowling. He jerked once he saw Lucifer and grabbed his belongings before leaving the cabin.

"Bro. You are awake. Thank fuck." Luke's joy was plain as day upon his face and he gripped Lucifer in a hug. "That was some scary shit you did bro Grover was bricking it." He looked at Lucifer seriously before saying. "Are you okay?" Luke peered at him almost tentatively.

"I can't really remember but it's fine. How are you it looked at bit cramped in there?" Luke scowled at that.

"Hermes is the God of Travellers so any unclaimed demigod is stuffed in there and forgotten about." Anger was plain in his voice as he spoke. He stopped for a moment before he smiled again. "Anyways I'm glad your fine you sorta went all monstrous for a moment. Have you been put with the Ares cabin."

"Yes but someone thought to attack me and so the head is currently dealing with it. I heard a camper in my cabin mutter something about 'Capture the Flag.'" Luke responded to that with.

"Soon enough there will be a horn and all campers will have to meet up with weapons and armour. The cabins will be split into two teams and a war game will be played." They talked some more and soon enough a conch horn was blown. The campers gathered at the amphitheatre and chiron was stood waiting.

"Campers. Today is capture the flag apart from a few injured we are all here. We even have new arrivals. Today the teams will be split as follows. Hermes, Athena, Aphrodite and Hephaestus cabins versus the Ares, Demeter, Apollo and Dionysus cabins. The losers will have the last pick of shower times. A collective groan arose from that statement. Clarisse pushed her way to Lucifer.

"Hey stay with me. If is your first time and we are going straight for the flag." Hurrying the campers made their way into the woods. The red team(Lucifers teams) flag was set on the far edge of the woods.

Clarisse grabbed Lucifers collar and pulled him after her as she rushed forward with a spear. A few campers rushed at them from the bushes and Clarisse engaged four of them. The remaining three went for a seemingly unarmed Lucifer.

"Protect yourself the best you can" Clarisse shouted from where she was. Disregarding her statement Lucifer blurred forward with his shield summoned. Bashing one camper into the face and punching another in the gut. The last swung a sword at his side and Lucifer barely dodged beneath it. As the the camper staggered with the force of the swing Lucifers arm wrapped around his throat and he fell to the floor unconscious. Clarisse nodded appreciativly and gestured for him to follow her again.
