Chapter 19 - Progress

There were many different types of treasures in the multiverse. The crown was one of those treasures. However, food treasure was one of the most sought after treasures in the multiverse. Food treasure came in many different forms but could mainly be found in plants and monsters.

When a plant or monster became a treasure, their body would glow a certain color indicating what grade of treasure they were. Food treasure was meant to be eaten because food treasure could strengthen anyone eating them no matter if it was human or magician.

Even so, humans could only eat the low-grade food treasure. If humans ate high-grade food treasure, it was highly likely that their body would explode.

There were rules of eating food treasure too. The same species of food treasure could only strengthen the body once. For example, if a magician ate a white grade cabbage once and strengthened himself, he would not get any effect if he ate the white grade cabbage one more time.

Thus, the food treasure was sought after a lot but once someone had eaten it once, they would not get attracted to it anymore. So, the value of food treasure was less than the crown due to this but they were a treasure and quite rare.

However, Kyle felt like what he had learned about food treasure all his life was a lie. Rare? He had a whole planet of them! All of them were of the same grade! He was speechless, shocked, stunned, happy and almost gone insane of what he was seeing.

"How did you do this?" Kyle asked Dodo. He wanted to know how in the world did Dodo mass-produced plant treasure. Not one or two but hundreds and thousands of them.

[The same way I produce the normal plant and monsters] said Dodo. [You should know that when there are a group of the same species of plants or monsters together adds with concentrated mana, a treasure can be formed]

[Our vegetable planet has a lot of fields of different types of vegetables and adds in the concentrated mana from the magic construct, a treasure can be formed. We have a lot of plant treasure forms and I simply absorb them and analyze them and then, I produce them the same way as producing the monsters and plants] said Dodo.

"All of this is white treasure, is it possible to get higher grade treasure?" Kyle asked.

Food treasure had grades. The higher the grades, the better the treasure. White grade was the lowest grade a food treasure could have. It could be considered a grade 1 treasure. After white, there was darker white, grey, dark grey, blue, dark blue, and so on. The higher the grade the rarer the treasure.

The grade classification did not only apply to food treasure but equipment had the same grade too. The equipment mentioned here was not normal equipment but magic equipment. It was equipment that could raise their status.

[We will] said Dodo confidently, [If this is a normal field, it will take months or years to form higher grade treasure but this is a field of white treasure. So, it will easily form dark white treasure. When that happens, I will analyze it and mass produce them and the cycle will continue until we have many planets producing treasures]

"Ha… ha… You are really a cheat power," said Kyle unconsciously.

[Not really. This is possible because we work hard for two years. With all this data, I can do this. Magic construct that humans invented is really powerful. Their intelligence and creativity made them stand at the top of the multiverse] said Dodo.

Kyle wanted to feel proud when Dodo was praising humans but he could not. Yes, humans became powerful and became one of the strongest races alongside a few other races but due to that intelligence and creativity, many of them were evil and sought destruction. Not really what Kyle was proud of.

"So, I can use these white treasures to increase my base status?" Kyle asked.

[Yes, you can. Also, I analyzed them and found out that many of them can increase your wind and sight status. I need to warn you about something. Eating this many food treasures can easily increase your status but you still need to keep training especially in battles. That fighting experience is as important as a strong body] said Dodo.

Kyle acknowledged what Dodo was saying. He could have the strongest body but without any fighting ability, he stood no chance to survive while fighting his opponent.

[Well, I made the calculations on which food treasure is good enough for you now. Just eat all of those] said Dodo and Kyle nodded. Dodo teleported Kyle back to his home and once they got there, Kyle opened the refrigerator and found a few food treasures inside.

There were about six of them. "Only six?" He thought that he would need to eat tons of them.

[That is more than enough. Just eat it] said Dodo annoyed that Kyle was questioning his choice. [This is the best of the best white food treasures I choose for you. Trust me, even among the same white treasure, there are those that superior and those that inferior. As someone born to serve you, you will only get the best]

"Oo… Okay," said Kyle and he started cooking all those white grade treasures. He could eat them raw but cooking it tasted better. It was a treasure and thus, the treasure's quality would not decrease even if it was chopped, sliced, blended or whatever cooking process it underwent. As long as all of its parts were eaten, the quality remained the same.

Since all of them were plants, Kyle decided to make a soup. Kyle slurped the soup and he could feel mana spreading through all over his body. His body felt warm and he could feel that his status increased slightly.

"I haven't eaten the treasure yet but even the soup can increase my status," said Kyle and he started eating the food treasure. The same feeling spread all over his body and Kyle was happy. While eating, he asked Dodo.

"Why are you teleporting me without the teleportation circle?" Before this, Dodo refused to teleport Kyle out of the planet and asked him to use the teleportation circle, however, he teleported Kyle without complaining earlier.

[We have many mana generators, so I have a lot of energy to teleport you] said Dodo. After that, Kyle continued his dinner and took a shower. After that, he sat on his bed and checked his status.

"Whoa~ All my status is at maximum," said Kyle. He was happy to see that his status had reached the maximum a Rank 1 magician could achieve. He remembered Dodo said that 20 was the maximum a Rank 1 magician could have.

[Well, based on your status alone, it is safe to say that you are one of the strongest Rank 1 magicians in the whole multiverse. There are many others with maximum status in this multiverse. Even one of our customers has max status except for one he recently got] said Dodo.

"For real? Who?" Kyle was curious.

[Lance. He used to be a magician but got his monster soul destroyed. All the status increases he got when he was a magician stayed with him but it was suppressed because he was a normal human. When he first entered this dojo, he was the strongest normal human I ever seen] said Dodo.

[After he got Resil, his maximum increased and all of his status became 20 except for the newly added fire status. I am not sure if his status will max out again when he advances to Rank 2 but from what I have gathered, it is possible] Kyle was amazed.

"I am not sure what story he has but he must have worked hard every day to reach the level he once had achieved," said Kyle and he sympathizes with whatever Lance had possibly encountered.

[Kekeke, he will surpass you soon. As the dojo master, it will be shameful if you are lagging] said Dodo while laughing.

"I don't mind that. I am a beginner after all," said Kyle. Kyle checked on his skill list and all of them had unlocked. He finally knew what skills he got from Glen. "Yes!!" Kyle was excited. He had been stuck with only two skills and now, he got six of them.

The two earlier skills he got was the eagle eye and eagle claw: scratch skills. The eagle eye made it possible for Kyle to see everything clearly up to 200 meters from him. As for eagle claw: scratch skill, it was a scratch using his hand. His mastery over eagle eye was 70% while the eagle claw: scratch was at 50%.

According to Dodo, once the skill reached 100% mastery, it would level up. Skills couldn't level up but Dodo made it possible with all the data he had. At the moment, Kyle was the only magician with level up skill. However, other system users could be the same too.

Kyle had unlocked the rest of the skills and the third skill was eagle claw: slash. Kyle had no idea how the skill worked but it could be a stronger version of eagle claw: scratch.

The next skill was one of the dojo's secrets, the magic skill art. For the eagle soul, Kyle got the eagle art: claw rush (first act). The condition for getting the skill was by learning the two eagle claw skills. From these alone, Kyle knew that the skill would be a combo of the two claw skills.

However, "What is this 'first act'?" Kyle asked Dodo.

[The art is a martial art move using the skills the monsters have. You should know that a martial art contains many movements. So, the first act is simply the first movement of the art. As you absorb more eagle soul, more acts will be available] said Dodo.

"How about leveling up the art? Won't I get the second act?" Kyle asked.

[No. Leveling up will increase the power of the art. Nothing more] said Dodo and Kyle understand.

Kyle saw the fifth skill. It was eagle soul energy. This skill was common. Every magician could use this skill and when they used it, their status would increase. However, for most magicians, there would be side effects when using this skill but not for Kyle. His eagle soul was perfect and thus, there would be no side effect of using the skill except there would be a time limit.

The last skill was eagle fusion. With this skill, Kyle would fuse with Glen in both their soul and body and resulted in Kyle becoming the eagle man. "…" Not only that, his status would rise by 200% when the skill was activated.

The skill was powerful but Kyle could only use it for one minute and the mana needed to activate the skill was massive. "Will I look ugly turning into this?" Kyle asked. In anime or cartoon, an eagle man looked cool but would reality be the same? Kyle did not know that.

[You are ugly even without turning into one] replied Dodo immediately.

"…" Kyle was speechless.

"Sigh~ Anyway, can you create a skill for me now? All this skill is physical. I need a wind skill and a dagger skill. If possible, I want the speed up skill you created before," said Kyle.

[Ok. I will give the skill to you tomorrow] said Dodo. With nothing else to do, Kyle decided to sleep early that day. If he wanted to hunt the bears, he would need to make ample preparations.

He might have many skills now but, he had yet to train with it. It would be disastrous if the skill did not work. He would need to get familiar with the skill and then, he would set out to Apple Forest.

Day 22, Month 1, Fall, Year 3022

Five days later.

For the past few days, Kyle had been working extremely hard to get familiar with all the skills he got and learned. His construction of magic in his mana sea became easier due to his compatibility with his soul and the skill. It did not take him long to construct three skills.

The first skill was the speed up skill. It was the same skill as his previous speed up skill but the skill was much more powerful. Instead of passively adding 5 speed, it added 20 speed to Kyle's speed. It could be said that Kyle was currently the fastest Rank 1 magician thanks to the skill.

The second skill was dagger: slash. It was a basic dagger skill. According to Dodo, the skill was compatible with one of the eagle skills and thus, Dodo decided to let Kyle learn the skill. Once the skill reached certain mastery, Kyle would be able to combine the two skills to form a better skill.

As for when he would be able to combine it, Dodo refused to tell him. He wanted Kyle to work hard and figured it out by himself.

The third skill was dagger: wind slash. Dodo could create a better skill for Kyle but the skill was compatible with the eagle skill and thus, Dodo made the skill for Kyle. Kyle wanted to learn stronger skills but Dodo said that it was better to learn skills that were compatible with the soul. The effect would be stronger and the development would be vast.

Kyle decided to follow what Dodo had advised him. Dodo was the professional one.

After learning all three skills, he started training all of his skills and managed to increase the mastery of all of them. He was diligent for the past few days and managed to level up two skills, the eagle eye and eagle claw: scratch.

Kyle could now see clearly up to 250 meters and the eagle claw: scratch had increased from atk+5 to atk+8. Though the increase was small, it was better than nothing. Not only that, his experience had increased a lot too. His HP experience would soon peak.

Dodo had built a few robots (Dodo was controlling all the robots) to help Kyle manage the dojo. Now that he had many regular customers, there was no need for him to convince people. His customers would help him by just being inside the dojo. He would need to appear once in a while.

As for the security of the dojo. Dodo was handling all of that. There was no need for him to handle everything. This day, Kyle was preparing everything to go to the Apple Forest. He had prepared many potions and equipment.

It was morning and Kyle sat behind the counter and his regular customers came in one by one. They greeted each other and went to buy the ticket. Those that had a taste of what the Monster Dojo had to offer would become a regular. Due to the threat of war, they did not mind spending money to become stronger.

Kyle was in full gear as he would immediately teleport to the Apple Forest in a few minutes. He had bought many good defensive equipment. However, all of them were white grade. He wanted to buy higher-grade equipment but Dodo forbade him.

The reason? Dodo did not want Kyle to be reliant on his equipment. Equipment was merely an accessory to a magician. Higher grade equipment could help the magician better but what happened when the equipment broke? They would need to rely on their body and skills.

If a magician relied too much on equipment, they would meet their doom soon. There were many cases where magicians relied on their equipment but had poor control of their skills. Those types of magicians would usually die the fastest in a fight.

As Kyle's servant or helper, Dodo did not want Kyle to end up like that.

As Kyle was preparing himself, Lance appeared at the counter. "Boss Kyle, are you going to Apple Forest?" Lance saw Kyle's appearance and guessed that it was highly likely that Kyle would go to the Apple Forest.

"Uh-huh," said Kyle while nodding his head once. He glanced at Lance and said, "Why? You want to join me?" Kyle smiled at Lance.

"Oh? Can I? My experience is already at the peak and I am waiting to gain the fire experience. You are going to hunt for the phoenix winged bear, right? I bet they will give the fire experience," said Lance while smiling.

"I don't mind if you want to go. The more the better. From the news I gathered, it looks like the phoenix winged bear is a real threat. Rank 2 magician is needed to kill the Rank 1 phoenix winged bear. Rank 1 magician stood no chance at all even when they were fighting in a group," said Kyle.

"I guess you are not a normal Rank 1 magician then since you plan to fight the Rank 1 phoenix winged bear," said Lance while smiling.

"Hehehe, what are you talking about? All of my customers are abnormal including you. My dojo is that impressive that it gives birth to many strong magicians," said Kyle while chuckling. Kyle was telling the truth.

According to Dodo, thanks to his superior souls, his customers' strength was above average compared to other magicians of the same rank. When Kyle heard that from Dodo, he was proud of his dojo. Though he had less than 30 regular customers, all of them were strong magicians.

The superior souls added with his skill shop multiplied his customers' strength a lot. However, that was all based on their status. Their fighting experience was unknown but they would be fine when fighting outside the dojo because the dojo had offered the best environment for them to train their fighting skills.

"Do you need to get your gear?" Kyle asked.

"No need. I have prepared everything since last night," said Lance while smiling.
