7 The date

A screen appeared in front of my eyes, at the same time Brian said that I was the winner. My mind got numb, I couldn't believe I've got it. To be honest, I thought I'd be a supporting character, but I really got it.

My heart was racing like an F1 car, I felt like it was going to jump out of my chest. After a few seconds, I got out of the numbness and read the texts on that screen.

[Quest completed: Unknown Actor.]

[Reward: Body language LVL 1.]

[Acting level up]

This reward… What exactly it does? Seems a little useless. At least I had an acting level up.

[That's why host failed as an actor. Body language is one of the most important things when we act, it can show emotions that our phrases can't.]

I wanted to say something, but System is right. I should study more about acting, even now I'm lacking knowledge about it l.

— Lee noon, come to the stage.— As Brian said, I realized I was staring nowhere, because nobody can see the system screen, beside me.

Everyone around me was gazing at me, some looked really glad for me, some trying to recognize me, and some I could feel the envy.

As I walked to stage, I've felt like if a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I've finally a main role, but I still don't know what we're going to do. When I got in the stage, I closed my eyes and mumbled:

—Thanks, System, It's thanks to you that I got it.— I said it in an undetectable voice, but I'm sure system heard it.

—Congrats, Lee. Now I'm going to tell about the play, and when the rehearsal will begin. Firstly, I'll tell you guys about the play. — Said Brian.

— It's an original play, I'ts called Prologue of gods, it's going to be about a man and his girlfriend fighting the political situation in his country, and how they became legends. — As he said, he stopped a bit and breathe.

—The protagonist, Zeus, and his girlfriend, and future wife, Hera, are citizens in a feudal kingdom who's the population is scheming the fall of the king, both of them are leading the revolution. Some important characters: Hefesto, the blacksmith, Ares, the war freak, and lastly, Athena, the general.— Brian voice was getting excited as he was talking about the story he wrote.

— Later on, they will be known as Greek gods, and their myths will be known by future generations. That's all, next week we'll begin rehearsing, so be ready for it. I'll give you guys the script, but the general concept is what I told you.— Seemed like Brian finally calmed down.

— Cool, See you then, bye bye.— I said, to Brian and the girl who got the main role, I really forgot her name.

Some time latter I got my phone and send a message.

[Sup, Julia. How you doing?]

I send it to Julia, I've put the phone in my pocket, I thought she would take a long time before answering it, but right after I send it she answered back.

[Sup Lee, I'm good, and you?]

Right after that, I wrote:

[I'm good too. Tbh, I just wanted to do something fun tomorow, you're up? I thought about bowling or something like that.]

I took a deep breath in while I thought about not sending it, but I just closed my eyes and send it. It took some time before she answered, I was getting disappointed, but after some time she sent:

[Ok. See ya tmrw]

— Yeeees.— I shout of excitement when I saw her answer, but I ran to my house quickly, ashamed about someone seeing that. On my way home, I thought about what clothes I should wear tomorrow, places we should go, but then I realized… I had no money.

I'm really glad, it's been a week since I know her, but I thought she'd refuse.

My mind started a plan to ask mom some money, I thought about washing dishes, cleaning the house for a week, but when I got home, my mom, just looked at me and asked:

— Something good happened?— She asked with a smile in her face.

Damn, she always knows everything, I have to pretend nothing happened, and latter I'll wash the dishes and ask her some money.

— Nothing much, why?— I tried to pretend.

Look at my poker face, my voice that doesn't tremble, I'm the best actor, she won't notice, I'm sure of it.

— So why you're with that big smile on your face?— She said, and then pointed at me.

As she said that, I realized that I was really smiling, so I quit the pretending. No matter how good an actor someone is, the mom will always know.

— Mom, are you some kind of FBI agent? You always know when I'm lying.— I said with a sigh of regret.

— But now that you know, could you lend me some money? I have a date tomorrow. — I said, then used my skill: Act like a baby.

If someone looks at me when I use this skill, I become cuter in their eyes, so it's easier to get something I want from that person.

When I said that, my moms eyes went wide open.

— You're really fast, son, in the first week you got a date? Should I tell her about your… Habits?— She laughed as she said that.

—Calm down, mom. Do you want to ruin my image?— I said, trying to look like I was going to cry.

— Ok, don't pretend you gonna cry, I'll lend some to you. Just don't dare doing her cry.— Mom said, but she was serious while saying that.

— I know it.— I said with a serious face, this time I wasn't pretending. I had regrettable relationships before, so I wanted some good ones this time, I wouldn't do to someone what they did to me.

As usual, I got early in class, but today Julia got here earlier than me, so I went to talk with her.

— Sup. — I said, while I sat in front of her.

— Sup. — She said, looking a bit entertained by something.

— What you're doing?— I got curious at what she was doing.

— I'm listening to an 'Imagine fishes' song, it's called Lightning.— She said. I really love that song, so I asked:

— Can I listen it with you? I really love that one, it's one of my favorites.— I used my skill when I asked.

— Sure.— She said. She got one of her buds off and gave it to me.

As we listened to it, she sang along the song and I did it too. That moment felt perfect, we just enjoyed our time listening to that. Some time later, the class begun, but we kept listening different songs from Imagine fishes.

As soon as the class ended, we went to the McRonald's, some new world cup hamburgers were released this week, so we went there before the bowling.
