6 Chapter 06

(A/N: Been busy because of school and stuff, sorry for the slow update of new chapters. I hope you enjoy this.)

Escanor was now can be seen lying on top of one of the trees in the forest. His hands at the back of his head and was currently deep in thought.

He was currently thinking about his life so far. He relish about his memories when he was still in the orphanage and can't help but smile a little, remembering how innocent he was back then.

Thinking about how he killed those people earlier, his mood became sullen, after a while, he shook his head then sighed.

Escanor normally don't kill, if there were people who do things like that, then he would only give them life time injuries like broken limbs and not death, though it's not like he didn't killed anyone before.

The reason why he killed those people in the first place was because of anger. He can't help but be angry seeing that little girl being so helpless on the hands of those people.

Seeing the always smiling little girl crying, he can't help but be enrage. Though he was angry that time, when he transformed, those anger turned into pity.

He pitied the very existence of those people when he transformed and thus, killed them and erase their existence in this world.

Escanor, as of now, though he can already transform to his prideful self willingly, he still hate it. He hate that side of him as that was the reason why he was now all alone.

That side of him pitied all creature, as if all people were below him.

But, despite that, escanor didn't regret killing those people even now. He don't care if those siblings would be scared of him cause he knows they wouldn't see each other again and he's glad enough when he saved that little girl. And even if they did meet again, he would just ignore them and do his own thing.

While reminiscing about his memories, he didn't notice a pink haired kid looking up on him just below the tree with a surprised and confused expression on his face.

The kid inspected the lying figure of escanor, after a while, as if he was enlightened, the kid shouted joyfully.

"Oyyy!!! ESCANOR!!!"

Escanor was startled for a moment, but he then calmly turned his head and looked at the pink haired kid which was natsu with his scarf on.

"What?" Escanor asked expressionlessly.

"Huh? What do you mean what?! I mean, what are you doing here?" Asked natsu.

"None of your business". Escanor said as he then started to ignore natsu.

"Heeeeh? I mean why are you lying there? Isn't it cold? Your not wearing your top you know?" Asked natsu with confusion.

Escanor ignored him while natsu, as if enlightened said. "I know now! Your a pervert like gray!" Natsu nodded with his own statement as if what he said was actually right.

Escanor hearing that, has huge tick mark on his head. Even if escanor was mature compared to his peers. But he was still a 13 years old kid and still has the temperament of a kid. Though he has no knowledge about the difference about man and woman but he still know that "pervert" was an insult.

He encountered perverts before and saved people from them by beating them. Now, being called a pervert really pissed him off.

"Hoy! I'm not a pervert! I have my reason why I am not wearing a shirt. Now if you are finished, can you leave? Your bothering other people here". He said as he then ignored natsu's existence and minded his own.

"Uhh, well, I was just asking, if you don't have a place to sleep. You can sleep with mine!" Natsu said with a grin which showed his sharp canines.

Escanor hearing that, was confused. "Huh? And why would you let a stranger into your house?"

"What do you mean stranger?" Natsu asked with wonder in his voice, then he grinned.

Natsu then raised his right arm and rolled his sleeves. He showed the insignia on it and pointed on escanor's right arm and yelled.

"We are Fairy Tail! And you are one of us! Remember this, from now on you are now a family so if you call yourself a stranger despite that mark on your arm". Natsu stopped.

Then with a huge grin, he bump his fists together and said. "I would make you realize it".

"Realize what?" Escanor asked as he stared at natsu.

"That from now on... you are not alone". Natsu then gave escanor a huge grin and thumbs up.

Escanor hearing that was surprised. But after a while he still shook his head and said. "Yeah, yeah I hear you".

"Well, you don't want to go to my house? It's very close here".

"No thanks"

"Well...your choice, see you then!" Natsu said and waved his hand as he walked away.

Escanor stared at natsu's back, then shook his head as he stared at the sky.

After a while, he then fell asleep.

Hours had passed and it was now 3 a.m, it was all dark around.

*Step*

*Crack*

Escanor who was sleeping, slowly opened his eyes as he then stood up and watched his sorroundings warily.

After a while.

*Swoosh*

*Thud*

Someone shoot an arrow on escanor's location, but escanor just dodged, as he then scanned his sorrounding.

He looked around with vigilance as he said. "Come out".

There were only silence around, but escanor still didn't put his guard down.

*Swoosh*

Escanor felt danger as he then twist his body and dodged the attack.

*clap*

*clap*

"Even though your weak when there's no sun around, you can still dodge those arrows. Hehehe, as expected of you demon". A guy with a scar on his face said as he smirk at escanor.

"Who are you?" Escanor asked with vigilance.

"Ohh~ you do not remember me kid? After you destroyed our base YOU DO NOT REMEMBER US?!" The guy asked in rage.

"Ohh... you one of those guys? Who kidnap kids from every village? Yeah I remember now". Escanor said as there was slight fury on his voice.

One day, Escanor went back to look at the orphanage, only to see those people burning the village and kidnapping all children. When he saw the kids in the orphanage being kidnapped, he let himself lose control as he saved all the people first before burning all those kidnappers into ashes. After that, he went to their base and burned the whole place without looking if anyone was alive.

He burned everything cause he knows that there were no innocent people there. Their job was to kidnap children and sell them to become a slave or to be experimented and sacrificed by the people in the dark guilds.

He showed no mercy that time as he was really angry. After that, he was put on a wanted list and they called him a demon and was accused of killing innocent people. There were a lot of people who targeted him for his bounty but none suceeded, after targeting him many times. They finally found out his weakness, it was during night time.

This caused escanor to train his body just in case someone targeted him during night time. He didn't know how they found out his identity, his suspicion was someone saw him destroying the base that time from afar. And the guy in front of him was the proof.

The guy just looked at escanor with rage, but he then calmed down.

"Well... now that you remembered. It is payback time". He said as he smirked.

Escanor hearing that, has a bad feeling. After looking at the man, he was about to attack first when suddenly.

"Aahhhhh!!!" Escanor kneeled as his left leg was shot by an arrow, he looked at the arrow with confusion but the man answered.

"Hehehe, magic arrow. No sound when released, no disturbance at all. A magic item indeed. Now, now, don't stare at me like that. There's a poison there but that's only to make you numb. The fun had just started hehehe". The man said as dozens of people showed up behind him, armed with different weapons.

They were smirking and laughing seeing escanor's state. "Hehehe, this is revenge kid, this is revenge". The man said as he grinned sadistically.

He then waved his hand and two people then walked beside escanor as they held him down. The man then walked and stopped infront of him as he said. "Don't worry, this would not take that long. You'll be dead before the sun shine upon you, hehehehe".

Escanor just stared at the man with a resigned expression. It was like he has no regard about his life and just closed his eyes as he sighed.

The man was about to start the beating when suddenly.

"HAAAAAAAA!!! KARYŪNOTEKKEN!!!" A voice belonging to a kid was heard.

Escanor who was numb this whole time, looked up to see a kid close to his age high up in the air with flaming fist and an enraged expression on his face.

'...Natsu? The hell is he doing here?' Escanor thought as he frowned. He doesn't like it when innocent people get involved.

*Boom*

"Ugggh"

"Ahhhh"

"What the?! Who was that?!"

The place was full of smoke as dust flew everywhere.

"LET GO OF HIM!!!!" Natsu roared with rage, but the people around was only startled for a moment as they then moved.

Dozens of men launched at natsu as they ignored the fact that he's a kid and Natsu despite being small was not a pushover at all. Escanor only saw, flames here and there then dust flew everywhere as sounds of body hitting the ground was heard.

The man seeing his men being beaten by a kid yelled in rage. "WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOUR WEAPONS?!!! SHOOT HIM IDIOTS!!!" Those who carry bows and crossbows then snapped out of their stupor as they then raised their weapons and aimed at natsu and shoot.

Seeing this, Escanor yelled. "IDIOT! GET OUT OF HERE!!! THIS IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!!!"

Natsu didn't stop at all, seeing those bows aimed at him. Natsu crouched and spread his arms as he said. "Fire Dragon's Wing Attack!!!"

The arrows were useless on natsu, but you can see that he was also tired as his movements were slowing down.

Escanor only stared at natsu with a confused expression as well as worry in it. 'Damn it, why is this kid here?!' Escanor thought.

While he was deep in thought, natsu suddenly said between huffs.

"Why...*huff*...are you silent...*huff*...there?!... I told you...*huff...didn't I?...As long as you...*huff*...have that mark...You would not...be alone!". Natsu said as he keep on engaging with the enemies.

Escanor hearing that, stared at natsu with a mixture of shock and confusion on his face. This is the first time he encounter something like this, that's why he has no idea how to deal with it.

Natsu then got closed to the two people holding escanor down as he punched the two people, knocking them down. Escanor was freed, but he still can't move as his body was still numb.

"Hey....natsu...right?...you can leave me now. It's not like I wanted to live anyways". Escanor said as he looked down.

Natsu who just punched the leading man who was talking before, heard what escanor just said as he looked at escanor with rage, but he then looked infront and punched another guy.

Escanor was looking down with dead eyes as he said. "I deserve to die.... I am not innocent...I have made a lot of sin....I....think this is retribution".

Natsu gritted his teeth as he yelled. "FIRE DRAGON'S ROAR!!!"

Natsu let out fire out of his mouth as the people around prepared to take this fire, but they were shocked. They were shocked as natsu shot the fire at the sky. They thought he missed as they saw natsu kneeled on the ground while heaving as he was exhausted.

"You...." Natsu stood up and stopped infront of escanor.

Escanor looked up at natsu, only to see a fist coming on his way.

*Bam*

Escanor flew as he was knocked, he landed and laid with his back with confusion on his eyes. The people around also stopped for a moment as they were also surprised by this scene.

"You...bastard! You must've live life as long as you are still strong!!! Never look at your life as something insignificant!!! What's this sin your talking about?! The real sin is averting your eyes and failing to beleive in anyone!!!" Natsu said as he kneeled down in exhaustion.

Natsu then sat on the ground as he said. "Your not alone now.... I can feel it... I can feel that your feeling lonely... that's why I'll let you know...starting from now...that you are not alone". Natsu said as he gave escanor a smile.

Escanor can already move a little as he sat up and looked at natsu with a dumbfounded expression.

The leading man who was punched by natsu stood up as he yelled at his people. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE?! ATTACK THEM NOW!!! YOU DIOTS!!!" This brought the remaining people out of their daze as they snapped out of it and grinned at escanor and natsu.

One man got closed at natsu, the man grinned as he raised his weapon.

"Watch out!" Escanor said, but he instead was replied with a grin of natsu.

"Hehe". Natsu grinned even more.

"Requip"

"Ice make.... Hammer!

Escanor stared infront of him and then the grinning natsu beside him.

"Hahaha...See? You are not alone.... We are not alone! This is....fairy tail!" Natsu said as three people shown up in their location with smiles.

"Heh, what a trouble maker this newly joined member is". Gray said as he grinned at escanor.

"Trouble? A Fairy Tail member indeed". Erza said as she smiled at escanor.

Mirajane can also be seen smiling at the side while looking at escanor.

"You...guys..." escanor was staring at them with a dumbfounded expression.

"When were all alone, it might be too frightening to bear... But we're alright beside each other. We've got our friends close by! Now, there's nothing to fear! Because we're not alone!!!" Natsu said with a grin making the other three smile yet again.

Escanor felt touched by those words. All his life, ever since he left the orphanage, his life became a living hell. It was only now that he felt this familiar warmth inisde him.

Drip

Escanor unconciously shed a tear as he felt this unfamiliar feeling.

That night, being sorrounded by unconcious people. Escanor with the presence of his 'friends' cried like never before. This is the first time that he cried again after what he went through all those years.

(A/N: Come on! He's only a kid! Of course he'll cry! So don't say that it was clichè or full of drama shit. Damn this is fairy tail of course there would be drama and such.)
