1 “A cup of tea would restore my normality." [Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Screenplay]” ― Douglas Adams

The only thing he could make out in the unusually, cold evening while his body sways unkindly against the darkened sea was the unintentionally hilarious scene of his classmates' splashing, around and about, inelegantly and their exaggerated expression of terror through his somewhat confused, wet eyes. He closes his eyes, seeing nothing but gray while he waits a moment and opened them again, only to see this time one of his classmate clinging onto someone else causing them to both sinks into the water.

They both were a spluttering mess and tried to climb on top of each other as an effort not to swallow water.

He shakily breathes in and out before coughing to hide the surprised laughter that was coming out, but his trembling shoulders gave him away.

Yes, they did look like they were screaming for help and you know there was the chance of them drowning, but can you blame him for his weird sense humor for it?

But enough of that now, he needs to concentrate on the situation he and classmates landed into, literally. He clears his throat, amusement still gleaming in his eyes and surveys his surroundings. They were in the sea that he could easily deduce, but which sea he did not know. He hopes that wherever they landed, it was close to the Carribean as his class was on a trip in Havana with their history teacher as a celebration for his class passing with flying colors.

So that was one question answer, what about how did they end up here? One moment he was enjoying his visit to one of the cathedrals with his class when suddenly, up and go, he was falling from the sky and plunging into the shivering waters.

Now, he wasn't a person that would outright scream that he believed in the supernatural or anything possibly out of the realm of reality, but he didn't try to work up the effort to deny it either. But, it looks like in this kind of situation, he needed to loosen up and be open to any idea or something. It might be the only way for him and classmates to survive this whole ordeal anyway.

"Hey, uhm, are you okay?"

"Hmm?"

He turns around with a tilt of his head, looking at the pretty girl floating in front of him nervously, which embarrass the poor girl as she stammers out an apology with an awkward shrug.

"Uh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you, I was just wondering..."

"If I was alright? I'm in good health, though you look a bit pale there."

She looks at her hands that was just below the surface of the water and nodded her head adorably like a shy kitten.

"Yeah, well, don't tell anyone, but I'm kind of scared of the ocean, with sharks and all the other thing down there," the answers, trying to lighten up the mood between them.

She looked like a drowned kitten asking for forgiveness. For a while, it was quiet as they both contemplate each other before the taller of the two smiles.

"No need to worry, I always keep my words. And please, call me Sam or Sammy, whichever you prefer."

The girl only blinks and stares at him like she couldn't believe her ears were hearing this. He chuckles at her confused expression and waves his hand in front of her face, sending droplets of water onto her face.

She finally gains her composure back and stammers once again though with a happy smile. He notices that she has one dimple and Sam couldn't help but find that adorable.

"Yes! I mean Sammy, it's nice to meet you, I'm Charlotte, but you can call me Charlie!"

They both stare at each other again and laugh, unable to stop it from spilling out as the sun overhead slowly descends into the sea, turning into a pretty palette of orange.

It was the beginning of a beautiful relationship. And many more to come later on, for the better or worse.
