19 Part 18

Sung Jin woo POV

After entering the dungeon we were greeted by hordes of high ranked mana beasts that radiated an inconceivable killing intent. I sighed at the this tedious activity and watched both Alea and the blond haired Lance getting into their fighting stances and imbue their mana into their weapons. Due to the fact that I had never seen Alea fight before, so I was curious about her abilities and how well she could hold against monsters. Naturally she didn't disappoint me as she cut through them with ease, but I did notice that her technique was too flashy and less practical. In a fight with a true expert who held the proper skills and experience, unless a miracle occurred, she would lose quickly.

I noticed that the blond haired Lance didn't have this flaw though, a testament to his combat experience and his climb to the top. This made me change my thinking towards him and slowly start to acknowledge his abilities, albeit nothing compared with mine or my army's. I snapped out of my thoughts as I saw a dozen monsters running towards with saliva dripping from their mouths, it disgusted me as they for one thought that I was prey, and they reminded me of a certain cowardly wolf. I covered my hands in pure mana and slashed towards the dozen of monsters, causing the ambient mana to tremble fiercely as this attack went straight through their vital points, killing them instantly.

I moved forward and split my focus, on one side I was fighting the various monsters, and on the other side I was watching them both fight and internally commenting on their styles. From what I observed I deduced that the blond haired Lance was more adept at aggressive fighting that created destruction, and Alea used her sword techniques to cut down her enemies fast, but in a flashy way. This would prove difficult if she met an enemy that fought at high speeds as her technique had lots of flaws that made her look like a novice compared to high level beings. Although this was the case her technique and level of power could be considered to be unrivalled on this planet, and in some cases could match the warriors of other races on other planets.

As I continued with my internal conversation we combed through the dungeon with ease due to the fact that although these were high level monsters, they weren't much to us. They progressively got stronger though as we moved further and further through the dungeon as it seemed to have gone on for a while underground. Between the time from arriving here I could tell it had been around two hours, and we hadn't even made it to the lower levels yet, but I couldn't complain as if I released my full powers here I could effectively clear this dungeon in a second. Though that was the case, I will continue playing along with their plan, and how they said that we would be here for at least a few days.

I sighed at the thought of spending the next few days in this dark and dreary place, but at least it wasn't as bad as the chaos world. We continued throughout the dungeon until we reached a hole that led to the lower levels and we took up camp there for the night. Thankfully the night passed without any issues as I was too irritated to handle any more monsters. As morning came I sat on the edge of the hole and peered down it and expended my spiritual sense to see what else was down there. I saw that there were huge waves of monsters down there, from weak to a bit stronger, gathered and guarding the entrance to the hole in the ground.

"Morning" I heard Alea behind me. I turned to see her yawn and stretch as she made her way to me.

"Hello" I said smiling.

"Seems like we have another full day of monster hunting" she said with a sigh and peered down into the hole.

"If I could just do it myself, I'd be done in a few seconds" I said with an irritable sigh.

"I doubt that would be a good idea" she said motioning towards the blond haired Lance.

"I know" I said dejected. I got up off of the floor and directed some mana into both of us to clean us. We sat around and waited for another few minutes until we saw the blond haired Lance wake up. After another few minutes we were all ready and descended into the lower parts of the dungeon to be met with thousands of bloodthirsty monsters.

"Great" I said as they both ran into the horde of monsters and I stood there and raised my hand.

Instantly around a hundred monsters were sent to the ground in a pile of blood in an instant and I continued to keep this up and walked forward. Every step I took a hundred more monsters were killed in an instant as I looked and saw the blond haired Lance was pale with shock and Alea gave me a look as if to say 'really'. I shrugged my shoulders and increased my powers so the entire cavern of monsters were killed in an instant.

"Impossible" the blond haired Lance said with a voice of horror as he staggered back away from me. I rolled my eyes at this reaction and for the fun of it continued walking towards him with a grin on my face. He fell on the floor and moved backwards, I could see on his face that he was close to passing out from fear and was about to until I was stopped by Alea.

"Enough Jin woo, he'll pass out at this rate" she said as I smiled and walked away from him and further into the dungeon. Unknowingly to them I could hear there conversation and almost laughed.

"Who the hell is he?" The blond haired Lance said in anger and fear.

"Sung Jin woo, Dicathens only S ranked adventurer" Alea said and walked off smiling.

"Why did he listen to you though?" He said catching up with her.

"You could say we have a close relationship" she said.

Our hunt continued deeper into the dungeon for the next few days until we reached a certain room. Originally we thought it was the boss's room until we saw a huge portal at the end of the room which surprised us all.

"What is that?" Alea asked in confusion.

"A portal to somewhere" the blond haired Lance said as I rolled my eyes at the simplicity of his answer.

"Where to?" She asked.

"Who knows, but it doesn't matter" I said before walking towards the portal and raising my hand towards it.

"WAIT!" The blond haired Lance shouted and ran in front of me.

"What?" I said and tried to go past him.

"You can't destroy it, this could be valuable for the council and the continent" he said.

"And? I don't work for the council, and it could be valuable for other dangerous forces instead" I said as my mind wandered to the other continents increasing army.

"I-I-I" he tried to reply whilst walking past him and towards the portal.

I raised my hand and pointed towards the portal and let out a stream of destructive mana that destroyed the portal. I then turned around and walked out of the room and out of the dungeon. I basked in the sunlight and felt much better than before when been cooped up in the dungeon. I turned and saw the look of pure relief on the blond haired lances face. I found it fun to annoy him and his reactions were perfect, so I smiled at him which brought about a panicked face as he flew into the air and as far away as possible.

"You'll give him a heart attack you know" Alea said coming towards me and wrapping her arms around my neck.

"He'll be fine, I can deal with a heart attack" I said before bringing my lips to hers and kissing her deeply whilst wrapping my arms around her waist. Sadly it ended as I wanted to know wether she wanted to meet the people I had been staying with whilst on this planet.

"Sure" she said with a smile as I contacted Igris who was in Arthur's shadow to let him know that we would be coming.

Arthur's POV

I was currently with tess and my family as we were talking in the living room about how school was until I felt a voice in my head. The voice mentioned that uncle Jin woo was coming around and wondered if he could bring his partner.

"Mom" I said as I was both nervous and excited.

"Yes honey" she said with a smile.

"Uncle Jin woo, wanted to know if he could bring his partner around for a meal" I said slowly and watched the room go silent and saw that my mother almost jumped with joy.

"Sure" she said with a smile before running off telling us that she was going to prepare. I told the voice in my head and felt it disappear.

"This is gonna be a hectic few hours" I heard dad say as we all burst into laughter until the realisation dawned on us that it would be worst than that.

I know things are going slow at the moment in the story but after this next chapter it will pick up as I want to go into the war arc of the story. Thanks for reading.
