"It really brings your own taste to the house." My friend Sarah smiled at the painting we created together last year, my husband and me. It was a painting of sunflowers. Our favourite flowers. Now hung in the middle of the rooms between the open spaced downstairs. There was still a few boxes dotted around the home but I liked our design. It was a moodish type grey tone of the walls but really light. I loved the new home hoping that Kieran did also.

"Yeah I love the painting." I smiled helplessly at it. "Just brings back the memories before he asked me to marry him last summer." Sarah then took both my hands in hers from across the counter where she sat on the stool, a glass of wine already poured, half empty of course. "Listen to me Sammy! This is great! You both have everything you've ever wanted! You're married, new great home and Max! (Our dog). And you have a baby on the way!" Sarah then sighed. I look at her was a confused expression as to why she sighed. "Oh um I just.. I just wonder if things are gonna turn out as great for me as they did you guys." She started to cry and I went and gave her a hug. "Trust me Sarah you'll find someone." I smiled. "Yeah maybe your right." She wiped her tears.

After she left I continued with my unpacking just smiling at the happy memories that we left behind. The Next moment my eyes were covered and I gasped not expecting it. "Guess who!" A voice said. "My new husband?" I smiled and then I was kissed with the hands removed from my face I saw Kieran. He hugged me tight and I hugged him too. We planned on going shopping for gender fluid baby clothes and other things we could use for the nursery that afternoon. It is almost six weeks since I became pregnant but we're too excited not to start buying things!

We headed to the shops together. Going to all of the baby shops that I've always dreamed of going in. There were so many cute baby stuff but I couldn't buy the whole store. We bought a few things in clothes, then a baby grow and cot, mobile then headed to a B&Q for some paint and/or wallpaper. We couldn't chose which would be better so we bought a nice yellow colour and a animal wallpaper. Before we attempted to carry all of the stuff to the car.

We got home and tried unpacking a few more stuff. I had to go to a client's meeting the next day but Kieran was off to start getting our nursery put together. Sarah was right life is turning out great for us after all.

And then as if someone heard me say that it all started going in a downwards spiral. Let's start with the next day.

I woke up very early like I normally did and kissed my sleeping husband's head staring at him for a few minutes thinking how lucky I was to have married the love of my life. Then got up, headed to the bathroom to get changed and get ready. After, headed to the kitchen to make me some toast while scribbling down some hearts for Kieran to see when he eventually got up. The lazy thing doesn't get up till noon. I got my ideas together then headed to the client's building with my paintings to try and see if this is what they wanted. (The client is trying to buy some paintings for their building.)

When I drove there and grabbed all of my heavy stuff I headed to the entrance before one obstacle got in my way. Stairs. A heck of a lot of them. Like just floors and floors worth. Everyone was just ignoring my existence when I tried to ask for help as they were on their phones, suited and sunglasses. Real business people. No elevators. So then I went up the stairs with all of my stuff by myself. Great. I almost tripped but I was all good. I walked into the building only to see one floor which really annoyed me how the only one floor building had so many stairs. I tried to talk to the office lady but I didn't know if she was talking to me or her headset.

Then a tall looking man walked over. "Samantha?" He looked around the room as if he was looking for someone taller and more cleaned up. I mean I could of dressed better but most of my clothes still hadn't arrived from the storage unit yet so denim dungarees it was. "Yes that's me!" I said smiling the best I could trying to hide the sweat from the stairs. He looked at my clothes and seemed to be slightly disappointed but signalled me to follow him into his office. I wanted to slap him but I needed the money for another van to hire.

I followed him and showed him all of my paintings. He at least pretended to be interested. After he looked at them he then opened the door and said "We'll get back to you." I was quite annoyed but then picked Everything up again and left. That didn't even last two minutes. I headed out and a very unfortunate thing happened. I was too focused on how annoyed I was at the client when I dropped all of my things that started rolling down the stairs faster than I could run down them and when I got to like the second last floor of stairs I tripped over one of the business people's foot and fell down the rest of the stairs. I feel unconscious and then when I woke up I was still lying there with my stuff all underneath me. No one batted an eyelid. I was really mad and I got up and in the car and drove home.

I dropped all my stuff then flopped on my bed upset about all of it. I must of passed out because I couldn't remember what happened after that until Kieran came in with a glass of water and put it on the side. "Babe... Are you alright? There's blood on the bed!" Keiran looked concerned. I thought I peed myself in my half conscious self. I got up and looked at the bed seeing the blood must of came from my lower half. I rushed into the bathroom and went to the toilet. I started to cry when I realised what happened. Kieran came in and wrapped his arms around me and we basically sat in silence other than our tears.
