Chapter 594: Greater Possessed

I watched as Gareth allowed the daemon to possess him. His body transformed, expanding uncontrollably as his muscles swelled. His power armor – already damaged from our earlier exchange – was unable to contain the wild growth and cracked. Parts of the ceramite burst, and deformed limbs and muscles erupted from it. Horns and sickles sprouted from bubbling flesh, while fang-rimmed mouths formed upon the surface of his molting skin.

The Dark Apostle's face elongated and his eyes blazed with hellfire. Claws curved from his swelling hands, curling to about a meter in length. His boots burst apart and his feet transformed into tremendous talons, the sickle-like claws digging deeply into the ground. Grotesque, incomplete wings sprouted from his back.
