30 Blood Price.

When both Vander and Kalawarna reached the training room he got a loo, at her. She was 5'10 which was taller than average women. As for Kalawarnar looking at her new master from behind led her to know just how physically imposing he was.

He was a good 6'10 and from the look of it, his muscles did not lack in the slightest. Just from feeling his aura, she knew that he could destroy this entire town and more with merely a sneeze.

'Where did he come from?'

He snapped her out of her daydreaming as he spoke to her when they reached the door.

"Alright, here we are. I will test your physical strength, soul level, and magical talent and see how good you are at controlling light. If you don't meet my expectations, you will become a maid. Of course, I will still train you as I would have no need of you then. Alright? Better than being fed to a demon right?"

She looked him in the eyes and gave him a firm nod.

"Yes, master."

Her calling him master did not bother him, but he always gave them the choice to call him what they pleased.

"Call me whatever you want, Vander, Sir, Lord, or master. If you want to."

"Sir then."

She did not wish to call him master, but she would if that would let her live.

Alright."

Both of them entered the training room which was currently a white void.

"First up is your constitution, will, and quick planning. How will you deal with the situation I give you?"

He waved his hand and the surroundings turned into a volcano field full of active volcanos. The very air was hot to the touch and would have probibly cooked a human alive in their skin. Massive eruptions occurred every moment and burning meteors barrled toward them.

Kalawarnar instinctively put up a magic shield around her to deal with the environment around her. Vander looked to the sky as a large metro as large as a bus barrled toward him.

"How will you deal with this I wonder?"

Just when the metro got within a couple of feet of them he swatted it away from him with little effort. He looked at Kalawarnar who looked at the sky as more meteors were falling toward her. The ground around her was melting into lava and her shield was barely holding up.

She opened her hand and created a secondary spear of light and launched it toward the closet meteor which pierced through the stone and exploded within. She did this over and over to the others around it in quick succession managing to destroy them.

As for Vander he was analyzing her gathering of light and found it to be lacking. She could only create one spear at a time, but her use of magic was lacking.

"I see you don't know magic? Is that weak shield your only spell? It can barely deal with this weak magical environment. One hit from those rocks and it will shatter like glass."

"Magic was never my specialty. We weak fallen normally use our light over our magic to attack."

He waved his hand and created different swords, axes, spears, and chains around him from Dark Light which was a variant of normal light magic. He snapped his fingers and destroyed all meteors in a 1000-meter radius around them.

Kalwarnar, looked at his expert use of Light which was leagues better than her own. La Folia was not kidding when she said she was too weak. What would Vander do to push him up to standard?

"Alright, your physical strength needs some work as you are not made to be taking hits. Your skill in magic is average, but you are not bad at Light control. Still, you are lucky to be a Fallen as I can bring out the latent talent in your species. When I am done with you, I will turn you into something surpassing your species.

If, you are willing to put in the effort."

He crossed his arms as he looked into her eyes. When she saw looked into his dark green eyes that were slits like a reptile, she saw pure confidence in himself. What he was saying was not just baseless words.

"You truly believe you can do it? Even if you could, why bother."

"I know that I can do it because I say I can do it. As for why consider it an investment. I am looking to build the strongest combat-focused peerage around. Consider yourself a possible member."

Kalawarna felt his pride in himself and the confidence to do just that. Maybe running into Vander was the best thing that could happen to her. She would no longer just be a random weakling that could not even be considered important in the grand scheme of things.

Only a fool would deny the opportunity she was being given.

"Sir Vander, I agree. I am ready for what you have in mind."

"Great. You will not regret this. The first thing we need to do is to draw out the latent power in your blood."

Vander waved his hand and changed the training room into a room with flat ground.

"How?"

He kneeled on the ground and bit into his wrist. It began to leak to the ground as he used his power to force it into the shape of a ritual diagram which she watched on with interest. She walked next to him as she watched him use his own blood to form the diagram.

"What is this going to do?"

As he formed the diagram he explained.

"My blood is unique and is a perfect material for ritual diagrams. I plan to use up some of my blood as a fuel source to bring out the full power of your species. You won't gain my traits as my blood will be devoured as energy. I can tell you know that the ritual will hurt. A lot."

Once the diagram was complete he looked Kalawarna in the eyes.

"Just step into this and your real training can begin. Of course, you can not do it and just be a regular maid."

She stepped into the middle of the diagram and laid down in the middle. She already decided to attempt to become as strong as she could.

"I am ready."

"Trust me, you aren't."

His eyes began to glow dark green as he started the incantation. He filled the blood on the ground with Demonic Mana as a fuel source. He even added a tiny speck of Infernity as a experiment to see if this could work.

"In nomine Vander Abbadon dono sanguinem meum pro pretio. Det tibi sanguis meus vires, sanguis meus tibi dent virtutem."

(In the name of Vander Abbadon I give my blood for the price. May my blood give you strength, may my blood give you strength.)

The blood on the ground began to rush toward Kalawarna and enter her body through her skin causing her to feel like she was being torn apart. She screamed at the most pain she had experienced in her long life.

His blood ignited into flames spreading through her body making her wish she had just taken the maid's duty. Even then Vander did not stop the ritual as once you start, it was never good to stop halfway.

After a minute had passed the worst part hand ended as the fire in her body surged toward her Bone Marrow and began to purity her blood. Her Fallen Angel blood began to devour the energy that Vander gave her to improve itself.

Vander had not lied when he said that it would hurt, but he just hoped she had not given up. When the fire died down he looked down at her eyes which were bloodshot with pain. He looked down at her with a smile.

"Take a moment to relax. I will have Nerezza take you

She could barely move as her whole body was in agony. Just moving hurt which was the expected result as fire had just flown through her body burning away her weakness away. On the outside, she looked the exact same, but her Fallen Angel purity had increased by nearly 80%'

He picked her up in a princess carry as he exited the training room. He did have to say she had very nice legs and she weighed less than he expected.

'Not bad at all.'

"Now, that your blood purity has increased, your improvements will come quick. I will train you day in and day out until I see that you have improved."

She nodded as he took her to a random room in the house. There were so many that did not have any use as it was just, him, La Folia, Naerdeath, Nerezza, and a staff of people looking after the place.

Even each room was set up so anyone could just take one. He laid her down on the regular-sized bed and looked down at her.

"Take this chance to rest. I don't think you will get such a chance very often from now on."

"I see. I feel so weak though."

"That is normal. You haven't noticed it yet, but your blood purity increased by a long shot. I feel that throughout the night you will notice an improvement in your strength when that passes. Now, tell me more about your partners. This is Devil territory so why have you moved in?"

Without hesitation, she said everything she knew.

"We came here to use the Devils as a barrier so other Fallen could not come and stop us. Our group leader is Raynare and 2 more Fallen. One by the name of Mittelt, and the other named Dohnaseek. Our plan was to take the sacred gear of a former member of the Church.

She is coming here so we could take her Sacred Gear so Raynare could absorb it."

He thought about it as it was a good idea to use your enemy to keep your enemies away. Still, what kind of sacred gear was it?"

"What is the sacred gear in question?"

"It is a healing type called Twilight Healing?"

He nodded.

"What does it do?"

She was confused as it was in the name.

"It heals the wielder and those around them."

"Ok, what else?"

"No, that is it."

He looked at her with a questioning look.

"Can it regenerate missing limbs, or replace lost organs? What if you get your head cit off? Or your heart stabbed."

She shook her head.

"Uhh, no. It can repair the damage, but not do all that."

"Then what is the point? Sorry, but it seems you picked a terrible power. You instead could have taken Issei's which is much stronger. Fine, take me to them. Might as well take the rest of you into my little group. I need more servants."

She looked up at him confused.

"Right now? In my-"

"I will carry you. Come on, up you go."

He helped her onto his back as he held her thighs for support. She wrapped her arms around his neck and opened a teleport circle under his feet. In a flash of purple fire, they appeared in the middle of the church which alerted Raynare, Dohnaseek, and Mittelt.

When they saw Vander and Kalawarna on her back they thought she betrayed them. Raynare glared at her with grit teeth.

"So you sold us out to save your own skin? I should have known you would have done that."

Vander looked at the teenage-looking Raynare with a scoff. She was even wearing her school uniform which she used to hide among the humans. She looked rather cute, but

"So you are the one who nearly killed that perv Issei."

"So what if I did? Was he your friend?"

He shook his head.

"More like I am just sad you didn't finish the job. As for you getting betrayed, it is not like I gave her much choice. Like none of you have any choice either. Swear on your souls to serve me."

Infernity roared from his body like a raging dragon which drove them to their knees. They felt the very air grow still as if afraid of Vander. Kalawarna did not get bothered by it as he avoided her from feeling it.

As for the three Fallen, they felt the gravity begin to crush them. The first to break was Dohnaseek.

"I SWEAR ON MY SOUL TO SERVE!"

Milltelt was not far behind him.

"SAME! I SWEAR TO SERVE ON MY SOUL!"

The pressure stopped crushing them making them gasp as they struggled to catch their breath. Raynare was the last one and she looked up at Vander as she struggled to say the words. She just wanted to live and she would do anything to live.

"I SWEAR TO BE YOUR SLAVE ON MY SOUL!"

The moment they accepted, he stopped crushing them.

"Good. Now, when will the girl wiht the sacred gear come?"

Raynare looked up at him and told him the truth.

"In a week."

He nodded.

"Alright, keep in contact with them. Inform me of when she arrives, guess I shall take her in when she arrived. Who will bring her?"

Kalawarna answered from his back.

"She will be coming on her own. We were going to gather some excommunicated exorcists as they were willing to work with us if we could take the girl's sacred gear."

"I see. Well, the plan was stupid, to begin with. Now, let's go."

He dragged the three Fallen Angels toward him and teleported back home. He just got three more pawns as he was planning on having a full eight. He expected his Evil Pieces to be extra unique as he was planning on supercharging them with Infernity and Demonic Mana.

He knew he would not have to use extra pieces as his energy was more than enough. When they appeared in his mansion, Serafall was right there and noticed his three more captives.

"Are they also your future pawn pieces?"

He looked at the three Fallen at his feet with a nod.

"If they can prove to deserve it. Otherwise, I guess I got three servants. So when are you going home Serafall?"

Hearing who she was made Raynare, Dohnaseek, and Milltelt know for a fact their plan was doomed from the beginning. They looked to the ground defeated."

Serafall sighed.

"Right now. I have been skipping out on my job too much and I need to get back to it. I will take Rei with me, but I will be back next week for that spar. I need the exercise as I have gotten rusty. I won't lose next time when we fight."

She said that last bit on purpose as hearing that Vander could defeat a Satan would make them less likely to think of betrayal. And she was right as now they were feeling lucky to still be alive.

"Well, take care when you do. As long as you do that, don't bother knocking and just teleport in. I will have Nerzza prepare a permanent room for you."

She gave him a small smile as she winked at him.

"I knew I could get you to like me."

He walked away with Kalawarna on his back as she could still barely move.

"Follow me you three. We got some work to do."

Kalawarna knew what he had planned for them, but she did not say a thing. He also had to take her to her room to let her recover as well. Once the three of them went through the ritual would they begin the real training?
