We had found a small bar and after getting a few drinks sat and Lori'dae told us her story.

"Maybe we should help her out." I said. "If your betrothed isn't around…" I trailed off and looked at everyone.

"I'm not against it, but this sounds like a group decision." Niko said smartly.

"Fair enough I-" My next statement was cut off by resounding bells.

"It's a burst." Tanya said looking at us with excited eyes.

"Like a geyser burst?" I asked. "Which way do we go?"

"Towards the bell. All registered Hunters are required to help." She explained as we dropped a few silver on the table and left. Everyone grabbed their weapons and we headed forward. As we approached the bells we joined up with Misha and Ly'anna, along with Lem'tril.

"So that was your business?" I asked before giving each of the three a kiss.

"It was meant to stay a secret." Ly'anna said before we turned back to the deafening bells and felt the ground start to rumble.

As we got closer to the edge of town, I saw only one other group of hunters and a guard captain.

"Listen up!" He shouted. "The enemies are Gigas. That means that each could be any elemental, and from what our scout informed us, they are fourth tier. Gigas may be humanoid, but they aren't anything more than monsters. The initial report is saying at least eighty are on the way. Everyone, do what you must." He finished and turned to the gate.

"Fill us in Pinkie." I said as we walked outside the town.

"The Gigas are giant monsters that look like older men. They have powerful magic and can divide themselves if they wish to move around. It isn't teleportation or anything, it just makes magic weaker." She continued giving everyone the low down on these monsters and as we got closer to the source, we saw our first one. It stood about twenty feet tall and its skin was a reddish pink color.

"So, they really are monsters…" I said to myself as I drew my longsword and charged in. I locked eyes with the creature and it raised its hand back to swing at me. Once I got close enough, I sapped it's stats before I saw Misha come launching in from above and swing a fist down to smash it's skull in. "So where does the forge go?" Misha asked me.

She had been making up a feast for everyone and when we entered the kitchen you could tell. There were at least twenty to thirty people's worth of food just strewn about.

"Niko! What the fuck!" I said looking at the food.

"I couldn't decide and then realized with Misha's abilities I didn't have to." She smiled as she informed me.

"Great, just call me Misha, the glorified refrigerator." She said clearly upset. I rubbed her back but then saw some sweets and went over.

"Is this pie?" I asked her.

"Yeah, it took some work arounds since we still don't have eggs, but it should taste good still." She said. We sat down to eat, and I noticed that I was sitting at the end of the table. I didn't think this would happen, but I just laughed anyways.

The food was delicious, but I was more excited about the bath and bedroom. I had made part of the first floor around the bath I made before and Niko said she upgraded the room. But first we had to go to the inn.

"Hi Lynne, we got back a few hours ago but had some chores to run." I wrapped an arm around her and led her away from the group. The others said their hellos and went to find Pzymon. As I led her away, she looked at me confused.

"What's up?" She asked me. I sat us down at a corner table and told her about the house.

"I don't have full supplies yet, so you and the rest will have to stay here, but I wanted you to choose a room and layout for yourself. I didn't want to act like I knew you since we only met a few days ago." I explained. "Plus, I didn't want to make a bed too big or small…" I glanced at her friends that she was always holding onto.

"Oh? Thanks." She said as she waved her friends over. "These are Ly'tra and Un'dra. They are my friends and so much more." She smiled, and they sat with her. "Would you like to share a room with me?" With your abilities you should be able to do some serious work without us." I explained. I had given him multiple shots at both my kindness and my bed, but he had always turned me down. I was only doing the bare minimum now. "You and the missus will be able to stay here indefinitely, but the house is for me and the ones I care about. I can afford you two staying here forever, and I'm sure Red would love it if you stayed." I was being a bit cold, but it probably had to do with finding Lem'tril.

"Sorry, sorry. I feel like you have some grander plan and are keeping me in the dark about it. I appreciate everything you've done for me and Shin'ta. I am still just extremely nervous about everything." He tried to explain.

"Like I said, you can stay at the Inn as long as you like. Even if you leave and come back, I will cover the expenses." I said coldly.

"Thank you, Alyssa." He said before he stood and left with Shin'ta. My girls approached and sat followed shortly after by Red.

"Welcome back." She said with a smile and a wink. "Your room is still open, so you can go right up." I did the math in my head and realized she just made about a dozen gold for a tip.

"Thanks Red." I said smiling. "Don't worry, we got a house we plan on staying in. I just wanted to let the ones that wanted to come stay with us know so we could get it properly furnished." She jumped at my words and then regained her cool.

"Congratulations. I hope you have a wonderful life in your new home." She was genuinely happy for us which made me remember the first morning after we kept her up all night.

"Yeah, and the rooms are all sound proof." Misha said remembering as well. We joked around for a bit and then checked in with all of the other slaves. We cleared up any lingering questions and after telling Red that any of this group is under my bill headed home.
