20 More Preparations

"Alyssa we're home." T'anya said when she entered the house. I stood and walked over to the three and gave each a kiss.

"Welcome home my beautiful ladies." I said smiling.

"We think we have good news… Is Niko around?" Ly'anna said smiling.

"You didn't?" I asked. She raised her hand and had two eggs in it.

"Niko!" Misha yelled from right next to me.

"Ugh… What's with the yell…" She saw the eggs in Ly'anna's hand and screamed. She ran up to her and after taking them both started pestering her. "Where did you get these? What type of creature? Did you capture one? Are there more?" She rambled question after question and then finally calmed down.

"The creature is a 'Rucco'. They are relatively common in the plains to the south east. We happened to see one lay an egg as you called it, so we brought a few and the eggs. They are extremely docile creatures, so they are in a crate out front." Ly'anna explained. I stepped to the front of the house and heard the cawing of chickens. Sure enough, they were white chickens. When I used analyze I saw they didn't have any skills or magic, and that their stats were all relatively low.

"I'd never have believed in a thousand years I would be taking care of livestock…" I muttered to myself. I lifted the crate and carried it around the house. I had planned on making slave dorms back here, so this would just encroach on their areas. I quickly thought up a design for a chicken coop and using earth magic, created it. Next, I went into the longer grass and after cutting a bunch of it down laid it in the coop before releasing the chickens inside. I had made a long trough for water and the grass would be their food for today. They ate whatever and leftover scraps from veggies would probably be their main food source. There was about thirty in the crate, so we would have too many eggs in a few days.

"This is an interesting building." I heard Cani'lu say from behind me. "You plan on keeping the creatures inside?"

"Only till I can make a proper pen for them… They are flightless birds, but that doesn't mean they can't jump. With the two males we could easily see a decent sized increase in population in a few months so I'm thinking of having them separated until we can find a decent and easy source of food for them… Wait a minute, Misha…" I turned, and she was walking over to me.

"Yes Alyssa? What can this refrigerator do for you?" She asked. She must have heard what I was saying. I walked up to her and hugged her.

"Misha… What's going on Hun?" I kissed her softly and she still had her arms wrapped around her body and was looking down.

"I seem to only be a bit more useful than that bag on your hip." She said quietly.

"Can you give us a bit Cani'lu?" I asked the princess as I walked Misha away from any prying ears. "You are so much more than that. There are three little girls in the house right now that can vouch for that. I don't hate kids or anything, but I wasn't going to buy them, that's for sure. You are the other brain here. I need you. Niko is amazing too, but she lets her emotions dictate everything. I don't let my emotions dictate anything. You are the bridge between us." I was holding her face in my hands and looking at her and she was locking eyes with me.

"Is that all true?" She said as she let her hands fall to her sides.

"Of course. I don't have any reason to lie to you. I own you remember." I said with a smile before she smiled back.

"Of course, that's your response." She smiled as she leaned into me and I hugged her.

"Besides, I keep you around more for your ass than your ability." I added before she laughed and kissed me.

After getting her head sorted, we headed back over the Cani'lu and the coop.

"Everything okay?" She asked seeing Misha and I coming back.

"Yeah, I just let my thoughts get ahead of me." She squeezed my hand she was holding when we got back.

"So, what is your plan for these things?" Cani'lu asked.

"They lay an egg a day. Niko plans on using that to make some different foods. Outside of that, I don't know she's the expert." I answered honestly and Cani'lu looked surprised.

"You didn't discuss this all?" She gestured to the coop and the two wide two story buildings I made for the slaves.

"Not EVERYTHING needs to be a discussion. Some things are more of just a heads up." I said smiling. Now let's go get some dinner." I said turning away.

"That sounds lovely." Cani'lu replied before we headed towards the main house.

"She ate them!" Ly'anna shouted as soon as we entered the kitchen.

"So?" I was confused and looked around at everyone. "She said they were her favorite food, didn't she?" I asked.

"I thought she was going to make us something…" Ly'anna pouted. I walked over and gave her a hug from behind.

"With only two eggs it was probably not enough. Besides, tomorrow she will be able to since she will have around twenty or more." I said before I put my head on her shoulder. She kissed me softly, so I decided to take advantage. I pulled her with me and made our way to the bedroom.

"Dinner will be ready in about twenty minutes. I'll come get you!" Niko shouted after us. With only twenty minutes I didn't hesitate and slid her shirt off. "I see." We dug into our meal and it was delicious. The girls were sitting at the far end of the table and I could hear two of them complimenting Mi'a.

"Did your little prodigy cook this?" I asked Niko.

"Some of it. Everything her sisters are eating and then this." She answered as she scooped up a small piece of seasoned meat out of the dish. She put it to my lips and it tasted wonderful.

"You must be an amazing teacher." I said giving her a squeeze.

"She was so happy when I taught her about different herbs and spices. It was so cute." She said back.

"Sorry, you can't have her." I said over Niko's shoulder. "I've grown… attached." I said thinking it over. As Niko pretended to pout, I gave her neck a light kiss and reached out for some more food. The meal continued for a while as Cani'lu and In'tasha ate way too much and then we headed off to the bath.

"We are going to clean up. You are more than welcome to go now or later." I said as we stood to leave.

"We'll come along." Cani'lu said standing slowly. In'tasha followed suit and before long we were at the bath. Everyone here had seen the princess and her guard naked already, so they weren't shy, and we walked into the shower area and T'anya pulled me to a stool. "Just how much of this did you cure?" I asked.

"Almost all of the pork belly. What else is there for that part of the pig." She said smiling and going to get some more food.

"Good morning my love." Misha said coming into the room. She was wearing a pair of short, tight, shorts today with a tight belly shirt. I eyed her up and down and she smiled. "Down girl… I was showing Le'une the basics of ballet." She gave me a kiss and Le'une slowly crept through the door.

"Rough morning cutie?" I asked her.

"We need to eat. That spell is nice, but it can cause troubles if you stop eating." Misha answered as she pat Le'une's head and sat down near me. The three sisters sat near each other and When Niko returned this time she sat in my lap.

"You're welcome." She said back before she grabbed some food.

"Besides, I plan on making pudding later. It will only be vanilla this time, but the guy at the merchant's guild said he could get cocoa and coffee. They are super cheap, so I can see us making bank once it comes in. It only cost one gold for fifty kilos each." Niko said proudly.

"You bought that much?" I asked. "I hope you know what you are doing." Fifty kilos was a lot and if she wanted that much fine, but it seemed like she over did it.

"I have plans for my restaurant you are gonna build me Lover." She said placing a hand on the one I was holding her with.

"I didn't forget. I need you to pick a plan so stop rushing me when I'm waiting for you." I said teasingly. She had narrowed the designs down to two but kept going back and forth.

"But I want the patio on the other one." She pouted.

"There is one on both. You just don't like having it on the second floor. I told you… We can't go more than a certain size, or it will deter customers." She pouted but nodded.

"Fine, then do that one. I like the way it looks but wanted to see the patio whenever I walked by." She said before she grabbed some food from the table.

"So, this is discussion versus heads up?" Cani'lu asked.

"Sure thing, Cani'lu." I said grinning at her.

We finished breakfast, and everyone went their separate ways.

"What are we doing today Master?" Try'alla asked me.

"I want you to get an idea for fabric. A lot of people work with it but don't understand the amount of work it takes." I lifted her into the chair and sat across from her in my shop. "I made two exact same size pieces of cloth." I reached under the table and pulled out a roll of cloth and then some shirts.

"I made this many shirts, from this size of cloth. Your job today is to do the same. If you can get within two you pass. If you can't you have to start over, but also, you have to make your own fabric." She looked nervous but ready for the challenge. I was still working on a sewing machine, so I didn't feel like working her too hard on stitching just yet.

"Can I use your tape?" She asked right away. "Thank you…" She said as I handed her the measuring tape. She measured the whole sheet and then one of the shirts. I could see she was trying to do the math in her head and after realizing how tight it would be made a quizzical face.

"No cheating. I'll be clearing the property of trees so come find me when you finish." I said as I left.

I quickly ran around the property and used my sword to cut down the majority of the trees in the lots we owned. I quickly turned the trees into logs and lined them up near the house. After I finished, I used my earth magic to make cobblestone paths up and down the area being sure to leave room for buildings. With our properties being on the edge of town I decided to put the less savory businesses in the back while the restaurant and a few other things would be in the front.

"Alyssa!" I heard Niko yell. I ran up to her and smiled.

"The craftswoman is back. She is looking for you." She answered with a smile. We walked, hand in hand, back to the house and when we got there, there was a thin, dark skinned, extremely sexy woman in front of me.

Misha is a musician and dancer, but she is currently working with her first disciple." I explained.

"I see. I've never seen something like this." She paused and looked at me and then Niko. "Your clothes are certainly unique as well." She looked over each of the designs I allowed her to see and Niko left and came back with some cookies and tea.

"This is wonderful!" She exclaimed when she bit into the soft butter cookie. She sipped the tea and made a small moan again. "So how does the living environment work?" She asked.

"We have a workshop already built for you." I led her through the blacksmiths. Lem was busy pounding away as his two apprentices watched. I stopped and ruffled his hair before continuing.

"This would be my space?" She asked looking around. There were simple tools for wood, stone, and leather working scattered around as well as tables covered in other tools.

"It would, but I use it for my magical research as well. Sorry for the mess." Niko apologized and started to pick up.

"And I could live here?" Yu'lissa asked.

"There is a dorm back there with bunk beds, but we have a few empty rooms in the main house as well." I explained. Her craftsman skill was already eighty, but since she was almost two hundred, I wasn't surprised by that. If I could get her to work for us, I would be so happy.

"Is one year the limit or would you still need someone after that possibly?" She turned and asked.

"Shit, if you wanted to work for us forever that would be fine but let's keep it to a year for now. We don't even know if we are compatible yet…" I answered her.

"We could find out." She walked close to me.

"Not just yet." Niko stepped up. "You are a marvelous specimen, but T'anya is the one that gets the final say." She said earnestly. I raised an eyebrow and Niko smiled. "She hasn't been wrong yet has she?" She smiled so I laughed.

I went back to clearing the land and making roads and paths and after I finished about seventy-five percent, I went back home to take a break. I stopped in my shop and saw Try'alla sitting at the weaving machine.

"I was three away, but I figured out the problem. If I cut them with a small trim diagonally, I will be able to fit one more shirt in each row. If that is the case, I will make more than you." She beamed as she continued to alternate directions as she turned the thread into fabric. I had pulled two shirts out to make the task easier for her, and from what she said she would be doing the same amount.

"Just don't forget, you need to be patient, so you don't cut too much on accident." I said as I turned to leave.

"I'm gonna beat you." She shouted out the door as I headed towards the stairs.

"Go ahead and try dearie." I shouted back. She was fired up which made me grin. I could hear Misha counting in rhythm, so I stopped in. She was standing with Le'une right across from her and they were moving their arms and legs along to the count. Seeing me Misha winked but didn't stop counting or moving.

"And break." She said after about fifteen minutes. Le'une was wheezing and panting as she ran over to get water from the faucet in the corner of the room.

"What do you think?" Misha asked as she leaned into me and kissed my cheek.

"She is much more determined than when I was teaching her how to sew." I said smiling. "And she seems to be getting the hang of it." I wrapped my hand around her waist and grabbed her ass. "How is it always so firm?" I asked her before I kissed her.

"Now that I can control temperature it is always four degrees in the bottom and negative four in the top." She said as she reached for a few more eggs. "Now for ice cream." She said as she tried to figure it out.

"Oh yeah, I have something for that." I ran over and reached into a cupboard and there was a small ice cream maker with a slot in the top. "I knew you would figure out temperature regulation, so I made this. You only need to insert a modified core for flash freezing of the cream…" I said handing it to her. "You should be able to make about two gallons at a time."

"Alyssa…" Niko looked at me and smiled. She looked between me and the ice cream maker and then after taking it from my hands hugged me. "Thank you." She said as she just continued to hug me.

"What's wrong?" I asked her.

"Nothing, you just believed in me." She said as we embraced in a fierce hug. "It felt nice to know that you prepared something for me." She pulled back a bit and looked me in the eye. She was smiling and there were tears forming in her eyes.

"Of course, I do. You may have noticed, but I watch you quite a bit." I grinned at her.

"Umm… How does it work?" She was holding the Ice cream maker and staring at the slot for the monster core and opened the lid.

"You make a creamy solution with milk, sugar and a few other ingredients…" She slowly pulled away as she crouched down to explain. After she stood and grabbed a plate and gave it to me.

"Thanks Niko. I'm gonna go finish clearing and paving the property." I explained before I went to the dining room to eat.
