119. Forgotten temple
The temple's officials were taken aback at her loud yelling. However, when they saw the black smoke that slithers on the ground and slowly engulfed the entirety of the temple; horror filled their eyes and they panicked, rushing here and there, shouting at everyone to run faster.
"Abandon the temple!" A high priest emerged from the barrier and shouted. Another followed until the surroundings were like a choir that shouted the same thing.
Mona was doubtful that the smoke could also devour a human being, as she hadn't tried it on someone before. It could only work for demons. She remembered the bookmark in the ancient library and prayed that the dark smoke could free them and devour the dream demon.
But as Mona knew what would happen to her in the hands of these people once they learned that the smoke had come from her, she hesitated to leave and make a run. She was beheld by the situation, as it happened when she lost her control.
