5 Paimon and the Witch of Purple Rose

Lisa stared at Sai with a curious expression while she ran around erratically. It was clear that the player was making her run around him.

Aether was also there in his ghost-like appearance, due to how close they were from each other. Many sounds came from him, but Sai couldn't understand them at all.

Sai carefully looked at Aether while trying to get a hint of the player's next actions. And it was at that moment that he noticed: a fairy-like being came out from behind Aether. She was full of glitter and magic effects around her.

'Paimon!'

In another moment, or perhaps from behind a screen, Sai would have found her cute. But now the only feeling he had was that of danger.

'Danger! Too dangerous!!! What is going on?!'

Sai immediately looked around, but soon noticed who the culprit was.

'No way…'

Paimon was looking at him with a smile as she floated besides Aether. Sai felt like she could see his every move, read his every thought.

'M—monster!!!' Was what he thought. 'One wrong move… and I'm dead!'

The pressure he felt paralysed him: it was stronger than when he faced the Lawachurl!

While Sai was falling into desperation, strength began to pour on him, and he felt his body and mind change. All of a sudden, he could move again. Or so he thought.

"Urgh!"

Despite the newfound power, Sai still couldn't shake away the instinct of not moving when facing Paimon.

But surprisingly, it didn't last long.

Lisa, who had remained unmoving since Paimon appeared, once again moved, now towards Sai.

Perhaps because of the player's poor control, she ran straight into him, knocking him back. He stumbled and struggled to not fall inside the lake behind him.

"Ouch!"

That finally helped him move once again. His thoughts flowed and he found himself staring at Lisa.

"So gorgeous…" His mouth agape.

Contrary to the game's somewhat mature look and aura, the real life Lisa was barely in her 20's. Almond colored hair, bright green eyes, a witch cosplay and a stunning figure… each characteristic drummed Sai's young heart.

'There is no way someone so pretty can exist…' Was what he thought.

She had an alluring, almost seductive smile as she looked at him.

'I can almost understand Lisa mains now…'

Sai slowly stood up, his sight never leaving the woman in front of him, and was shaken from his trance by the player's voice:

"Look at his animations! How much work did it take to make him? My god…"

"Look up information about him online! There's bound to be some gacha streamers who know about this function…"

"You look it up, I want to get more heroes!"

"They are not heroes, they are characters! Whatever, maybe your Sai is different, let me see your phone."

"No, you will steal him for yourself!"

"Shut up, fatty! I can't even do that in the game! I just want to see what he does!"

"Never! Over my cadaver!!"

Meanwhile, Lisa ran in circles, jumped and dashed around, one time almost blowing Sai's head off with a loud purple lightning. She ran into the river in no time.

"Alright, I get it, I won't touch it, stop running around the house!" The voice was very distance at this point. "Damn, how can a fatty run so fast?"

"Hmpf! Don't underestimate people with large bellies!" Fatty continued. "Let's go heal your friends, Lisa."

She then ran towards the statue with incredible dexterity, her now wet clothes sticking to her body. Once she got close enough, something magical happened.

All of Sai's wounds began to heal at an unprecedented speed, all he could see was a green light coming from the statue and gently caressing him.

Once he was about to be on perfect health again, the statue stopped emitting light, and he complained as it didn't completely heal him.

"Stingy statue… Wait! What happened to—" Sai hurriedly turned his head in Aether's direction, who was a couple of meters away from him.

Paimon was nowhere to be seen, only some indistinct noises coming from Aether could be heard.

'Sigh… Thank god she's not there anymore… She is too scary…'

Sai finally sat down and started thinking about the situation.

'Too much is going on… First and foremost, I need time! Time is of essence!'

"Wooshh!"

With a flash of light, Lisa and Aether were nowhere to be seen.

"Huh?! Where did they go?" Sai was once again startled. "Ugh… I better start making plans, can't stay here for too long… or can I?"

He waited for a little while, and when nothing seemed to happen, he started looking around.

"Wow… this world is really something… how perfectly beautiful…"

"Wooshh!" The same flash of light.

Sai looked at it to see Aether and Lisa again, though this time with cloudy eyes and unfocused gaze.

"Damnit! Can't they leave me alone for just a minute?!" Sai was having a mental breakdown. "Why are they not moving though? Hiiiikkk! Paimon!!!"

As Sai shirked away, she glared at him and then disappeared. Almost at the same time, Lisa and Aether started moving towards him.

"Haha! He's still there!" Fatty yelled.

"Yeah… it seems like there is a cooldown to summon him again… Try again next time you play. I will look into this character some more."

Lisa… was the same as always. Fatty really had no scruples about making her run around erratically. Some other noises could be heard from Aether, and suddenly both of them stopped in their tracks.

Sai was fearful of being with them again, so he tried to run away as quickly as he could. And so, he fell into the lake.
