SOME SHADY SH...

Bastard.

Traitor.

Unwanted goods.

Left over.

Parrot.

Unworthy.

Bastard on the floor.

Dead.

Ape shit.

The following morning sat on my cloud of a bed. I just wanted to die. Wow, I am bringing honour to my family by being a royal rag. I need a noose.

Remembering the Prince's helpless face, I could not help but wonder. Does he really get little say in who he marries? Poor guy... wait, I am being forced into this too. The hell! I am not royal. Why am I being enslaved like this.

When I woke up the room was so big, I felt like I was in a museum. Ever felt like a piece of art? Good for you. I felt like a visitor, did not dare to touch, just looked.

"My lady, it's time for your bath." By now I am comfortable with being served hand and foot, if it was allowed, I would have them carry me there and feed me too.

The bed was a white circle with cushions and princess curtains. The walls where a golden wood, and the floors were a darker cold wood with bear rugs on the floor. It was huge with long beads of crystals dangling from the roof, as they turn ever so lightly, they send rays reflecting on its surfaces with rainbow lights. There were six girls bowing patiently waiting for me to have enough will power to get up.

They took me to the bathroom and actually bathed me. The girls at my family's just gave me water and soap when I need it. Then hand me the towel, then the lotion. Brush my hair. But these girls are bathing me. I am uncomfortable with this, but it is too early to speak.

They got me dressed and out the door

"No food?" I asked the girl I assume was the only one not mute.

"You are having breakfast with the Queen."

"Oh, so we are going to the Queen's."

"No. We must first pay our respect to the Queen dowager and then go eat with the queen."

Yes... they do that. No breakfast for me then. They should just call it early lunch.

After greeting the Dowager, the Queen and I went to her Palace. Where she sat and ate quietly looking at me from time to time. How old is she? Twelve? Isn't the king like sixty or something? And why am I Here?

"You must think awful of me." I looked up to the queen unsure what to say. Like... I try not to think. My thoughts can get very bleak.

"I was presented to the prince at his birthday, and I was rejected. A few days later I was called for by the king and now I am The Prince's mother."

I am not one to judge, but twelve is twelve.

"But I am 15 and when I was offered a place in court I didn't shy away. My family would be honoured much more, where I had disgraced them, and I wouldn't need to kill myself." Okay that got dark quickly. "I am sorry I called you a bastard. You are, so, I said as much. But I saw it offended you. So, I am sorry."

"It's nothing your highness. I am a bastard."

"Not anymore, your name too is changed, you are now adopted in the Royal family, your old self is dead, you are now Anapekshit, my daughter." She said kindly smiling at me with her golden locks perfectly framing her face in cute curls. I am older, but okay.

I am very intuitive in the sense that I always get everything perfectly wrong. So, if I think I should trust her then I should trust her. Not. But she seems so trustworthy though. Okay, point made. She a snake.

"Thank you, your highness." I said bowing with a slight smile. But I will drag a 'B' if she messes with me.

"Thank you for joining the family." She replied with a strange gaze.

Have you seen sword fight in Asian movies? Right now, as she stared at me with those cold blue eyes, I could hear the - 'shin!'- sound.

I gulped.

That afternoon I had indigestion from the morning breakfast with the ice-snake and was laying on a chair, on my stomach, under the sun, like a crocodile after a big meal. digest! I command thee.

Just as I thought of going to the courtyard, I saw the unmute maid run over.

"My lady, the family of The Zuri banner are here to see you." She says not too loud, not too quiet.

"My family?" I said confused. These people are uninterested in me, but I guess being a princess now makes me interesting. I place my right hand under my jaw to stroke my chin with the other hand beneath my elbow. I move to turn around slowly hopeful that this movie-villain pose would help me figure out what the F is going on?

"No, the family of the..." The unmute leader try to say again.

"Yeah, my family."

"No, your highness," she said loudly in a reproachful manner head still bowed. This killed my cool pose leaving me staring at her in shock. "Precious of the Zuri banner is dead." She said looking at the floor in all seriousness like a robot. "You are now Anapekshit of the great royal dynasty."

"But I am alive." I said tentatively.

"Indeed, lady, Anapekshit."

"I was precious for only three months now I am shit. Just my luck."

The maids looked at each other. Rightly confused. First real emotion.

"Let them in." I say falling on the chair defeatedly.

"My lady. I will advise against." The one who does all the talking said. "They are mostly males with no proper chaperone. I am afraid it is not done. Please hear us my lady." The talker said and they all bowed behind her.

"Please hear us." They cry. Why ask if the answer is if they had no intention of letting them in?

"Okay. I don't miss them anyways." I say controlling my expression, letting a nonchalance expression was over my face.

"Thank you, my Lady." Talker said.

But it all smells fishy. Propper chaperon? Even though I am "dead" they are still my family, and no one would care, I have six maids inside my room and six maids out. They had placed my palace at the very back, far from the rest and away from site. The maids don't speak even when spoken to. Only one speaks and the rest are echoes. What a luxurious prison. It seems the royal family wants an isolated princess, one that no one would miss if she went missing. I am a hole filler. But I am not stupid.
