Chapter 1Too Hot to be in Pain

Princess Vittoria Olympia of the Romana family of Olympus (For the three of you who do not know)

"Vittoria-"

"Princess Vittoria."

"Yes, Princess Vittoria," he cleared his throat and looked at me with a nervous smile, "you are the most beautiful woman I have ever met-"

"I know I was voted to be the most graceful and beautiful woman of the century," I looked at my perfectly manicured French nails that had pink diamonds as adornments formed in tiny tiaras.

"Yes, over the past four months I have realized life with you has been so extremely fruitful. Every minute I spend without you I can barely breathe-"

"Biologically that's impossible."

"Princess Vittoria," he sighed then looked up to me from his kneeling position.

"Continue," I pouted with a slight pop of my hip as I looked down to the man in front of me.

Pierre Morrone was the son of a famous billionaire family that was well known for being the leading supplier for coal, oil, gas and the hard to find elements in the world. Their family was one of the richest in the world but their net worth to mine was child's play.

To be honest I was not really sure how I met him. In fact for the first two lunches we had together I did not know his name at all. I only figured out who he was when I was getting a pedicure and grabbed a magazine, call me a fish, he was the cover of it.

That was how my interest in him grew when I realized he would look nice by my side. Like a new 'Dolce&Gabana' handbag. That was how we ended up dating and four months down the line he invited me for a yacht lunch.

I hated the sea with everything in me and even though he was saying a very heartfelt speech, I constantly checked my hair with a pout to make sure it did not frizz up because of the salty water. At least today was one of the less humid days which added calm to my frantic heart.

With a flick of my wrist I pushed my black hair over my shoulder before I focused on Pierre again.

The other thing I did not like about him was that he talked… a lot. He could be a football commentator because he could go on and on and on! Yet at least he had nice lips which made watching them a bit pleasing when I knew what those lips could do.

"I know it's very early on, but-" he reached for his suit's trousers' right pocket and pulled out a black velvet box. My throat grew drastically dry as I looked around to spot a photographer taking pictures and out by the docks paparazzi. "I love you Princess Vittoria, and I want to spend every day of the rest of our lives together."

My face grew hotter second by second as the little black 'Versace' dress I was wearing got tighter and the diamond encrusted 'Louis Vuitton' stilettos felt a bit wobbly. I smacked my lips together as I looked down to the curly haired brown man.

"Will you Princess Vittoria, do me the honor of marrying me?" he opened the box and all the built up excitement instantly fizzled out when I saw the plain gold band engagement ring with a cushion cut diamond the size of my pinkie nail.

How was he a billionaire's son when he was this stingy?

Yet saying 'no' would be harsh as well so I was left with only one option. I checked the height of the yacht and once I saw it was safe enough I ran to the railing then dived off.

"Vittoria!" I heard him scream after me just before I dived into the water.

I swam under for a few meters before I resurfaced and swan to the docks like an Olympic athlete. The cameras were going crazy when I did eventually make it to the docks. I climbed up the stairs that led into the sea and wrung my hair out like I was in a photoshoot as the paparazzi surrounded me. I pulled down my dress before I strutted my way to my deep pink Lamborghini Aventador.

Since it was finger print access I did not have to stress about a key as I climbed in then started the car. I revved the engine so everyone could get out of my way before I drifted the car out of the parking lot and sped my way to my penthouse.

How did Pierre think I was going to say yes to his engagement when he had my least favorite style of an engagement ring? The diamond ring my father gave me as a birthday present was bigger than that and there was no way I was going to marry someone who got me something less than what my sweetest Daddy could give me.

I left a wet trail from my garage to the elevator and all the way to the lobby. People looked at me in shock as I walked like the sexiest mermaid they had ever seen. A few men stared at me and I only winked at the ones who looked like eligible sugar daddies.

When I got to my penthouse my Royal assistant, Aurora, already stood there like her antsy self as she held her phone and clipboard in her hands.

"You're pants look wonderful on you," I smiled at her.

She looked surprised for a second before she looked down then looked back at me with a smile, "well thank y-"

"If you're intending to look like a middle aged woman with five kids you're doing an excellent job," I kissed her cheek.

Her lips parted before she gave me a scowl, "Vittoria, you're all over the news."

"Already!" I jumped in excitement, "what number search trend am I?"

"Number one-"

"This calls for a celebration!" I screamed and ran to the kitchen but slipped because stilettos and marble floors never mixed. I plopped down on the floor but quickly stood with a giggle before I did a peace sign to my reflection, I was too hot to be in pain.

Defy The Alpha(s)

Two centuries after the Great War, peace between humans and werewolves was finally achieved, or so everyone believes. Werewolves reign like gods, and humans remain blissfully unaware of their true place in the new world order. To maintain this fragile balance, each year, a handful of "lucky" humans are selected from various districts to attend Lunaris Academy, a prestigious institution that promises glory, status, and a chance to mingle with the elite. Those chosen are hailed as the lucky few, destined to marry powerful alphas and rise as luna. This year, Violet Purple is among the chosen, much to everyone's surprise. For an orphaned girl adopted by a disgraced prostitute, this is a golden ticket to a better life or so she's told. But Lunaris Academy isn’t the paradise it’s painted to be. Everything Violet and her fellow humans have been taught is a lie. Humans are far from equal; they're pawns in a much larger game. The academy is nothing but a gilded cage, and the students are lambs led to slaughter, playthings for the alphas to toy with in their ruthless games. To make matters worse, Violet catches the attention of the most dangerous players in this game, the Terror Four: the Alpha of the North, Alpha of the South, Alpha of the East, and Alpha of the West. Each one is more dangerous, more twisted, and more powerful than the last. But even among themselves, the alphas are divided, each with their own deadly ambitions. Yet, they all have their eyes on her. They expect Violet to play along, to fall in line like the others who worship at their feet, to break under their games. But Violet isn’t like the others. She refuses to bow. She’ll defy them all.
