11 11. Phoenix
After thinking for a while Ethan decided to take the abilities selected by Raven. These abilities will be helpful to him in the long run.
{Raven will you buy these abilities from the shop?} Ethan asked Raven ans she replied while giggling.
{Anything for you Ethan. You need to lie down. The process will hurt a lot. I will first help you get phoenix physiology then after I will integrate other two skills.}
Ethan smiled wryly and lied down on the floor.
[It's time for suicide pain.] Ethan thought to himself and clenched his teeth.
Suddenly he feels pain that he had never felt before. He bones break, his blood also flows out .
His body has to gain the properties of phoenix while not loosing his other two bloodlines of Indra and Ashura.
His body starts to shake and blood starts to pour out of his eyes,ears, moth, nose and different parts of the body where muscles and skin are torn apart. He hold on tightly on to his consciousness as he felt that if he withstood all the pain he will get many benefits.
"What's happening?" Zoro and Usopp run to Ethan after they saw what was happening.
"Don't....come....near." Ethan says to Zoro and Usopp with his teeths clenched and they stop at their tracks.
Usopp and Zoro both stop and keep watching as Ethan's skin and muscles tore apart at different places and blood kept flowing from here and there from places where his skin and muscles were torn apart.
Usopp tried to interfere but Zoro stopped him.
They were getting very worried but then slowly the blood stopped flowing. Then all his injuries started to heal at a visible rate and his body also transformed having muscles at the right places. His muscled were not big but if someone touched them they would feel that it was harder as iron.
He also looked more attractive than before. The scar that he had gotten after getting wounded by Mihawk also healed.
"Man, this guy is the weirdest among all of us."
Zoro said after seeing Ethan's transformation.
Ethan after feeling that the process was finished got up from the ground.
{Ethan during your transformation the super soldier serum bonded to your body perfectly and it's effects also got enhanced.}
Ethan heard Raven's voice and nodded. He had no problem that the super soldier serum bonded instantly.
{Raven now can you get the other two abilities.}
Ethan asked and Raven replied.
{Sit down. I'll fuse those two now. It will not hurt as much as before but it will definitely hurt.}
*Sigh* Ethan sighed after hearing Raven and sat down on the ground in meditating position.
Ethan saw Zoro and Usopp looking like they wanted to ask him something.
"I'll explain to you later." Ethan said to Zoro and Usopp and sat down in meditating position.
{Start.} Ethan said to Raven then closed is eyes. The pain started again but this time instead of all over his body it was his mind. He felt like his head was going to explode. The pain was less than before so he gritted his teeth and withstood all the pain.
After sometime the pain went away and his mind felt clearer than before. All the problems that he was getting while training were solved.
He could see three presences around him, and one person was clearly stronger than the other two. He could also sense their confusion and their distress.
He opened his eyes and saw Usopp, Zoro and Johnny looking at him.
"Looks like I need to explain some things." Ethan said looking at the three people.

"What happened to you?" Zoro asked Ethan with a serious face after Ethan was ready to answer Zoro's questions.
"It was transformation. My body was transforming."
Ethan answered to Zoro vaguely.
"Into what?" Zoro asked Ethan with anger, because of Ethan's vague answer.
[ There is no getting out of this. It is better If I show it to them directly.]
Ethan thought to himself.
Ethan's body slowly changed that into a bird's. Ethan's form slowly changed from having human leg's into a bird's, his hands turned into wings and his face changed into a bird's with a beak and piercing eyes. Withe red feathers all over his body which slowly turned into red flames. His body was made up of flames so he slowly flew in the sky and started to circle the boat not to let the boat catch onto fire.
He decided to use his white flames so his body which was made up of red flames changed into white flames.
"What the hell?" Zoro, Usopp and Johnny shouted in shock. They were shocked and awed at the same time time. They had never seen a bird so majestic and divine before. The bird was huge, bigger than any bird they had seen before.
Ethan as a phoenix looked at the trio and said.
"I am a person that can turn into a phoenix. This was the transformation that was happening before."
Ethan said and the trio widened their eyes in shock.
"But how can you turn into a phoenix. Did you eat a devil fruit like Luffy?" Usopp asked to Ethan.
" Something like that." Ethan replied.
Ethan looked at his body and he saw he was naked and there was dried blood all over his body so he jumped in the water and started to scrape off all the dried blood. After getting himself cleaned he got himself on the boat.
He looked at the trio who were looking at him with their mouths wide open.
"What?" Ethan asked them.
Usopp pointed a finger at him and asked "You said you ate a devil fruit. How can you swim?"
Ethan looked at Usopp and said " I don't know. I felt that I can swim so I jumped".
[There are some things I cannot explain to you people.
It's not like I can say 'Hello I'm Ethan. I am the adopted son of god who gave me a system with A bunch of free abilities to choose.]
"I should get changed" Ethan said and walked inside the small cabin in the boat.
He took out black boots, pant and black shirt and wore them. The black shirt had a phoenix logo on it.
He bought a map of east blue from the shop and waked outside with the map in his hand.
"Here, I have a map of east blue. Take this and head towards Arlong park." Ethan said and handed the map to Johnny.
When the boat started to sail Ethan sat down to look at his status.

After looking at his status he saw that he reached medium level mastery in observation haki. It was because of Cosmic awareness that he has reached this level.
He also saw that he has four new abilities Air manipulation, Fire manipulation, Immortality and Flying. He was confused because he had not bought these three abilities from the store.
{Raven, Why do I have these abilities? I had not bought them from the store}
Ethan asked Raven.
{It is because you are now a divine phoenix not a normal one. So you have unlimited lifespan, hence the immortality and as you are a phoenix you can manipulate fire and as a divine bird of sky you can manipulate air too.}
Ethan nodded his head after Raven's explanation.
[ This was to be expected.] Ethan thought to himself.
He sat on the ground to try out his abilities.
First he tried out Cosmic awareness. He thought about the upcoming fight with Arlong and now he can perceive the outcome his different action. He could see the outcomes of his different actions so now he can measure his steps while moving forward.
He can also track someone or something with the help of cosmic awareness. It will be helpful in tracking his enemies.
He can has intuitive perception which will help him analyze and understand anything and everything he perceives instantly, including analyzing basic and universal concepts. This extends to the physical, mystical, or conceptual as well as anything natural, supernatural, divine, and transcendent.
He closed his eyes to see inside his body and he saw that his chakra reserves had grown. He guessed it was the amount that a 1 tailed beast should have. He didn't know how much chakra Shukaku, the one tailed beast had but he felt his guess was right.
He wanted to try out Instant learning so he bout some manuals to help him learn stealth and also some manuals that taught how to eliminate the body movements that were wasteful and not necessary. He was shocked at how easy it was to learn them. He started to learn at a fast rate and within minutes he could move without making any sounds with fluid movements and without any unnecessary movements.
He giggled seeing the improvements and looked at the sky.
[Thanks dad, for everything.] Ethan said to his adopted father.
[You don't have to thank me every time you achieve something, my son] Ethan heard the Old man's voice in his head and smiled.
"I see the island". Ethan heard Usopp shout and went of the front of the boat.
Ethan could see an island at the distance. He activated his sharingan so he could see clearly and he saw a huge building and a huge gate that had Arlong park written on it.
"Ethan pointed to the other direction away from the Arlong park and said
"For now let's anchor away from the Arlong park. Let's collect some information and then we will decide how to act.
[I know everything but I have to prove to them that Nami is not a traitor. I will also have to prove to Nami that Arlong will betray her even if she collects the money. The countdown of destruction of Arlong pirates has started.
After that no one can save Arlong from me.]
Ethan thought to himself.
They sailed their boat away from Arlong park and anchored it near a village at the other side of the island.
They got down from the boast and started to walk inwards towards the town. When they finally reached the town all the houses were broken and the whole town was in ruins.
They were walking when Ethan felt presence of some people behind him.
"Someone is coming from behind."
Ethan alerted the group and all of them turned back to see three fish-men walking towards them. They had ears like of seahorse,webbing between their fingers and toes.
"Who are you people and what are you doing here?"
One of the fish-men asked to the group looking at them like they were beneath the fish-men.
Ethan acted like he was afraid and said
"We are travelers, we were hoping to buy some some supplies here in this island."
The fish-men started to laugh and the one talking to Ethan said
"Looks like you have bad luck that you came to this island to buy supplies. If you want your life give me all your money."
Zoro was angry and tries to take out his sword but Ethan stopped him.
"Do you think I can't kill them If I want. Just play along." Ethan whispered to Zoro and And acted like he was terrified in front of the fish men and put his hand in his pocket.
He took out a stack of berries that will satisfy the fish-men from his ring and handed it to the fish-men.
The fish-men laughed haughtily and went away after getting the money.
"Let's go." Ethan said and the started to walk towards the town.
