16 Theresa’s life

Ashley was laying on her bed, reading the book she took at the shop. Looking uninterested, until she goes to a certain page. She squints her eyes to read, she gasps causing her to lose her grips on the book, the book falls to her head.

"Ouch. It hurts…" she groans rubbing her nose. "No time to whine, I have to inform them quickly!" She said to herself, she jumps out from her already open window, starling the citizens who pass the road. "Watch where you going!" A citizen yelled angrily, "sorry!" Ashley reply, sprinting away.

Hector is doing push-ups on the floor, with Arkus sleeping on his back. Sweats trickled down his forehead, "499…" he panted, it was peaceful, until someone open his window, "…Hm? My window?" He ignores it and keeps going, just need to go back up, until someone jumps to his back, "500!!!" He shouts surprised, because of the weight, his body instantly hit the floor harshly.

"I thought you can handle it sorry~" a mischievous voice giggles, "You f*cking ice hazard! Get off of me!" Hector shout pissed, Ashley ignore him and hummed a song, "Get off!" Hector groan swinging his legs back and forth harshly to kick her, but it didn't reach her. "No can do." Ashley snickered, making Hector annoyed.

Until someone open his room, "What the hell?" Zeolite stares at them in pure disgust, he slowly close the door again. "Don't go! Get this crazy ice brain off of me!!" Hector shout desperately.

Ashley then apologies when Zeolite say so.

"My back…" Hector groan stretching his back, "so what are you doing here?" Zeolite ask leaning to the wall. "Oh right!" Ashley open the book she brought here, "Did you identify this necklace?" She ask showing them a page with a necklace the chains are black with a sapphire blue jewel in the center of the necklace. "Isn't that Theresa necklace?" Hector ask looking at the necklace, "Yes!" Ashley nod.

"…A necklace that consumes the user?" Zeolite ask while reading the description. "Consume what?" Ashley ask before reading the description, her eyes widened. "Theresa! We have to take the necklace away from her!" She said panicking. "Calm down. We just have to dispel it. But, the main problem is… are there someone beside Miss Mizuki who is good at dispelling magic?" Zeolite said crossing his arms. "Miss Mizuki will return in 2 years. Means, if we wait for her that long. We might lose Theresa already." He continues closing his eyes.

"Then what do we do?" Hector ask worried. "Do it the other way, kill or make the caster undo the spells." Zeolite reply, "How did you know?" Ashley ask, "Reading it of course. You think I'm just spacing out when you show us the page?" Zeolite said annoyed. "Sorry." Ashley said apologizing. "Doesn't matter. What I fear is…there's no explanation on how long does it need for the necklace to active." Zeolite said while reading every single of the description.

"Then! We should tell her about this!" Ashley said, Zeolite shake his head, "it says, "If the user emotions unstable, for example, sad, depressed, and angry. It will quicken the process on the necklace." So no. Don't tell her." He said showing her the description. "Aaahh!! This suck!!" Ashley groan frustrated. "Damn, I'm so confused." Hector said holding his head.

"Now, where is she?" Zeolite ask, "at her house, sleeping I guess?" Ashley shrugs. "I need you to right by her side. Remember. Don't piss her off." Zeolite said glaring at her, "Y-Yes, pf course " she said terrified. "Good, we'll take care the rest." Zeolite said closing the book. "Where did you get this book? It seems so useful." Hector said snatching away the book from Zeolite's hand. "At a shop. You won't believe me until we got there." Ashley grinned. "Why?" Hector ask tilting his head. "You won't believe what I say!" Ashley said.

"Anastasia Escarcha? Who is she?" Zeolite ask pointing to the writer's name. Ashley had her mouth open, she shake her head, "It's…my mother's name." Ashley said a little sad. "Oh, I see. My bad." Zeolite said apologizing, as the atmosphere feels awkward. "Hm…where to start?" Hector asks breaking the silence.

"We can ask Master or someone else." Zeolite said, "would you mind? Can we borrow that book for a while? We'll return it to you in one piece." Zeolite said smiling a little. "Sure! Alright! I'll be off then!" Ashley grinned jumping out from the window again. "Hey!" A citizen yelled.

"We should go." Hector said opening his dresser. "Yea. If Theresa ask us what's wrong or what are we doing. Don't reveal what we're going to do." Zeolite said before closing the door. "Master? What are you talking about?" Arkus ask yawning. "Things. You can go to sleep again." Hector said wearing his coat, "It's rare for you to be this kind." Arkus snickered, "but thanks!" He said happily going back to sleep.

The boys then head to the guild to talk with Master Fang.

"Master! Can we have a talk?" Zeolite ask approaching Master Fang. "What is it, young man?" Master Fang asks, "Urgent things!" Hector said, "Privately?" Master Fang ask as the two nods. "Alright, let's go." He said leading them to his office.

"So what is the urgent things you mentioned?" Master Fang ask sitting on his chair. "Did you know this kind of spells?" Zeolite ask showing him the page. Master Fang eyes widened, "where did you get this?" He ask before taking a deep breath. "Ashley took this from a shop. We don't know what shop tho." Zeolite shrugs, "Ashley did? Alright. I know this." Master Fang nod. "But why do you two suddenly ask about this?" He ask.

"Our friend, Theresa! Had it! And she's wearing it!" Hector said raising his voice tone, Zeolite nudge his hand, Hector cough and bow. "I'm sorry." He said, "don't worry it happens, I know you can't control yourself when your friend's life in danger." Master Fang smile.

"About this. I will need you two to find the caster. I know it's not simple. All I can say is, they're around the city. You can ask Akane's team to go with you, since they had a similar job." Master Fang said, "Can I ask? What is the symptoms?" Hector asks, "In a week before the necklace to be fully activated. The user will feels sick. Theresa will suddenly pass out, if she passes out more than three times… you know what happens. You will have to act fast." Master Fang explained.

"Right. We'll do our best." Zeolite said, "Yea, I can't lose another person in my life." Hector said cracking his knuckles. "Very well, I wish you all good luck." Master Fang smiles. "Remember, don't tell her about this." He reminds the two. "Yes Master." Zeolite and Hector said at the same time.

On the door, there is a girl standing there. "Ah…I see…if she die. I can get close to him." The girl smirk evilly, she was eavesdropping the whole conversation. Her smirk grows when she sees Theresa and Ashley come in the guild.
