Cricket in Pakistan has a history predating the creation of the history in 1947.The first ever international cricket match in karachi was held on 22 November 1935 between Sindh and Australian cricket teams. .... The first captain of the Pakistan national cricket team was Abdul Hafeez Kardar.

The pakistan cricket team made its test cricket debut in 1952 and has since become one of the most successfully team in modern cricket.The team reaced the semi finals of the 1979,1983,1987 and 2011 world's cup,

and final s in 1999,1992 and won the 1992 ICC cricket world cup by defeating England in the final with the captaincy of imran khan.They are one of the most T20 sides but faced a big failure in T20 2016 having won the T20 World cup in 2009 and being runner-up in 2007.And after that they have defeated india by bug margin of 180 in final of champions Trophy 2017 at oval.Pakistan has also been ranked as the Number 1 Test Team twice(summers of 1998&2016)

and Number 1 across all formates (Test,ODI,and T20)at various points.

The pakistan national cricket team ,popularly refered to as shsheen (lit.'Falcons'),<12><13>Green shirts,<14>Mens in green,<15>and cornered Tigers,<16><17>is administered by the pakistan cricket board (PCB).The team is full membered of the international cricket council,and participates in Test,one Day international (ODI)and Twenty20international cricket matchs.

Pakistan has played 437test matches,winning 142,losing 133, and draw 162,Pakistan was given Test ststus on 28 july 1952.following a recommendation by india,and made its test debut against india at Feroz Shah Kotla Ground,Dehli,in October1952,with india winning by an inning of 70 runs.in 1930s and 40s.several pakistani test players had played Test cricket.
