Behind lady Megra a large group of knights dressed in shining armor and soldiers wearing heavy armor followed. Jason could see the rose knight emblem on the knights but the soldiers didn't have anything. He also saw some magicians but he couldn't tell who they were or where they came from.

The procession countied through the path until they reached the end of the manmade path. In the end, the stopped in the middle of the plain and turned to address the trainees.

Jason didn't notice, but Lady Megra quickly glanced at him with eyes that shone in bright golden light and a small satisfied smile appeared on her delicate face.

When the procession stopped, one of the knights walked up to the trainees and shouted in a stern and drill sergeant type of voice.

"attention, line up"

And the entire barrack quickly ran to line up in front of him.

Finally, three lines of trainees stood at attention in front of Lady Megra who had gotten off of her horse.

The knight who had shouted at the trainees to line up quickly retreated and disappeared back into the big group of knights standing guard.

Lady Magra paced up to the front and opened her mouth. She had an elegant voice, like what Jason imagined the voice of a noble to sound like. But it was a bit melodious to Jason at the same time. She gave off a little smile

"I'm proud of you all, you have finally reached the end of your training are about to face your final trial. Though your numbers may be small, and your commanders aren't here, I'm sure that you can push through."

She paused and made eye contact with 3 specific people in the trainee group.

"you already have your own leaders, listen to them as they are the people who will be in command, they earned their command from their hard work and skill so respect them in this trial, no, I think I should call this an operation"

The entire platoon of trainees nervously listened to her, with bated breath all of them had eyes on her.

"your final trial will be in Earl Grey's territory. You probably have been so focused on training that you don't know about the current state of events in the kingdom"

Jason and Boops started to listen even more attentively, they were very lacking in information about the world. The only knew about specific technical things currently thanks to the library and didn't have any broad information about the world.

"The Belusian Kingdom is facing a crisis of monster rampages and bandit uprisings. The rose knights are stretched thin, and Earl Grey's territory is the one that is suffering the most currently."

All of the rose knights except for a select few looked visibly worried and sad at the news. Some of them were orphans but most of them had families, families that they wanted to return to with the famous rose emblem on their chest piece. They didn't want to think about it, but what would happen if they returned to a ruined city or a destroyed village?

Some of them gripped their fists, and others clenched their teeth. But one thing was in common, rage and worry was the prevalent emotion in the platoon.

Lady Megra nodded

" you families are safe, we made sure about that"

All of the trainees simultaneous sighed in relief

"But, imagine what would happen to man such as yourself, coming back after working so hard, only to lose everything. You are not only fighting to become rose knights but to protect the families of those working hard to make our country strong. We protected you, families, now it's your turn to protect"

Lady Megra finished her rousing speech and walked away with the determined batch of trainees behind her. She leapt onto her horse in one jump and turned to the trainees one more time. She nodded once and then snapped the reins and rode off with the group of knights, soldiers and mages right behind her.

The trainees watched her leave in respectful silence until she completely disappeared into the forest. After that, they started to shout until their voices cracked and their mouths got dry.

They shouted because this was going to be their first debut as warriors, Lady Megra had already protected their families now they had to repay it.

The red barrack warriors slammed down their shields making the ground rumble like an earthquake. The green barrack warriors gripped their weapons with a firm grip. Some spun their weapons around until they turned into a blur. The Blue barrack members were busy standing in front of Charlie their faces serious and focused.

Charlie, Ardem and Jitsuryoku walked and shouted for attention. After a bit, the platoon members calmed down and paid attention to them.

Charlie walked up

"listen up! we have 4 days to reach Earl Grey's territory, it usually takes 1 week to reach it, but we are cutting it short, we are going to first head to surprise a bandit uprising, further instructions will be delivered to your team leaders. Team leaders, report to your barrack leader. This is not a trial anymore it is a mission, an operation. We will not fail, understood?"

The entire platoon yelled back

"UNDERSTOOD"

"Good we move out in 20 minutes, team leaders on me!"

Various people emerged from the trainees dashing to Charlie. They were the various team leaders that were elected by the team members themselves, the rest of the platoon members prepared to depart.

Jason got a notification when the speech ended

Boops said in a sarcastic tone

'huh, so ima guess that somebody or something is behind it then?'

"yeah I think the quest objective made that fairly obvious"

'very, so any ideas on who's behind it?'

"None, I don't even know about who Earl Grey is, let alone whose behind all of this crap"

"alright, please explain"

[Earl Grey information]

[Earl Grey is a high ranking noble in the Belusian kingdom, he is next to the territory of the Rose household. The territory is also very close to the Baiseon kingdom. The territory is known for its high-quality food and wood craftsman. Earl Grey's reputation is decent, no overly praised like Lady Megra, but not as bad as some of the nobles in the south.]

"huh alright thanks for the info"

'no prob just let me know if you want to know about anything, ima go back to Perseus really quickly, he's currently trying to teach the poison blade skill right now, but he's failing epically.'

"heh I want a video of that please"

Boop's presence then disappeared from Jason's headspace and Jason went to where his team was gathering. Ethan waved him over and when Jason reached them he could see Lyle jumping up and down in excitement, Mark was busy jumping with Lyle, while Colby stood completely silent except for the occasional blink. Ethan was busy checking his weapons and Charlie was probably still talking with the team leaders.

Lyle jumped over to Jason and said excitedly

"Jason!!!! its finally here, I've been itching to pummel some bandits"

Mark landed next to Lyle

"Yeah, I'm totally going to take out the most of them"

Lyle stopped and raised his chin up and faced Mark, he then waddled to Mark with his legs spread apart and since he was so short he collided with Mark's chest. But that didn't stop Lyle and he looked up at Mark and said threateningly

"a challenge it is"

Sparks seemed to fly as the two exchanged gazes, on with his face looking straight up, while the other craned his neck to look down.

Ethan, Colby and Jason ignored the two who were bickering.

A horn blew and made everyone freeze and look at the person who blew the horn. It was Jitsuryoku, he shouted and waved at everyone

"alright kidos get into formation, we are moving NOW"

Everyone even Mark and Lyle stopped what they were doing and ran to get into formation. Well, Mark and Lyle exchanged a little provocative glance before and sprinted to the place where the formation was going to be made like it was a race.

Jason also went and noticed that the wolves were also coming along in a unique style. The blue barrack members had decided to make a wagon just for them to sit in.

Jason passed the wagon on his way to his place in the formation and saw Jeffery hanging over the edge of the wagon with wide eyes. He was barking constantly but since the barrack members didn't speak wolf they though he was barking our of excitement but in reality

"WHAT BE THIS MOVING THING, HOOMANS WAT DIS BE???? DIS SHAKEY AND SCARY HOOMANS WHAT YOU BE DOING???"

Jason made eye contact with Jeffery and Jeffery's head followed Jason with eyes as wide a saucers. Jason quickly ran to pet Jeffery really quickly and hand him a small piece of meat which made Jeffery sit back in contentedness and briefly ignore everything in his surroundings.
