Oh no, I undead all your hard work

Arjuna took a deep breath and continued walking, this time with Alanis and Rei right behind him and Rina somewhere nearby watching out for them.

Arjuna was leading them, but to be honest, he really had no idea where he was going. After all the person they were chasing after had literally disappeared in front of them. How were they supposed to find him?

Just as Arjuna was thinking that the sound of an arrow string being drawn caught his attention. A few seconds later he was laying on the ground as one whizzed over his head.

Within a split second, Alanis shot an arrow in the direction of where the archer was. And in response, the satisfying crunch of an arrowhead embedding itself into the forehead of a skeleton was heard.

A few seconds later the red glow of skeleton eyes appeared around them, stepping towards them in a robotic and sporadic manner. Loud crazed laughter could be heard behind them.

The necromancer appeared spreading its arms out as he held out his staff.

"fool!" he yelled out "now that the older elf is out of the picture I can get rid of all of you,"

The necromancer let out a small giggle as he looked at Arjuna

"Then I can watch you descend into darkness, just like me"

The necromancer raised his hand and the skeletons advanced. Arjuna glanced around counting about a hundred or so pairs of skeleton eyes. He looked back to see Alanis and Rei standing next to him their weapons locked and loaded. He turned back looking at the necromancer and the skeletons that were slowly enclosing on them. He let out a smile

"yeah, we can take them"

Saying that Arjuna grabbed an arrow from his quiver and shot it straight up into the air, it streaked into the air, glowing with mana. As it was shooting up it started to split into two. Then those two split into more arrows each one splitting further and further into more arrows. Finally, all of the arrows stopped flying up. They all simultaneously stalled in the air, then gravity took over the rest, the arrowheads tipped back to face the earth and flew down.

Arjuna wasted no time, pulling out his daggers and leaping into the fray.

The first skeleton in front of him held up its sword and dashed towards Arjuna.

Arjuna slid underneath its legs slashing at the skeleton's ankles as he did so. The skeleton collapsed with the loss of its feet. Kneeling on the forest floor as a quick golden arrow flew embedding itself into the skull.

Arjuna leaped up from his slide giving a low roundhouse kick to skeletons around him. Using his other leg that was a pivot for his kick, he pushed off the ground soaring momentarily in the sky.

The skeletons clustered underneath him all of their red eyes pointing straight towards him. Arjuna continued to look at them as he jumped into the air. His momentum slowly being used up as he beheld the dozens of skeletons just underneath him. Usually, a person would panic seeing a mass of monsters underneath him as he was falling.

But obviously, Arjuna was a bit different. A grin covered his face, and then it came, the rain of arrows came down. Arjuna watched as the arrow rain tore through the skeletons. Usually, the arrow rain was restricted by its accuracy, but now with the mass of skeletons clustering underneath Arjuna, it would be harder to miss than to hit a skeleton.

Arjuna landed on top of the fallen remains of the skeletons underneath him with a loud crunch. Golden arrows and fireballs took care of the few skeletons that were just a bit out of the arrow rain's radius.

Arjuna looked around again, there were still a few dozen skeletons left and they were gunning for Alanis and Rei.

Arjuna whirled around pulling his bow while simultaneously taking out an arrow from his quiver. His vision narrowed to where Alanis and Rei were. They were hurriedly pulling out arrows and chanting as the mass of skeletons got close and closer to them.

Arjuna let out the first arrow, not even stopping to watch its trajectory instead he was already reaching for another arrow as a cold voice uttered behind him.

"forgot about me?"

Arjuna's eyes widened as a cold feeling emerged from his side. His vision slowly dimmed and shook, the pounding of his heart got louder in his ears.

Arjuna looked down to see a large hole in his stomach, it was clean through and a huge sharpened bone that had just flown through his body. Blood poured out of it like a faucet and Arjuna kneeled on the ground clutching his stomach in pain.

Arjuna's vision grew dim, as red warning notifications flashed through his eyes

[you have suffered a critical hit -400 hp]

[you have been inflicted with the (bleeding) status]

[you will lose 5 hp every second]

[warning! health at critical levels]

The necromancer whispered to Arjuna with a crazed giggle

"Now you can watch me slaughter your comrades, with your own eyes"

Saying that the necromancer shoved Arjuna to the ground leaving him on the forest floor with his eyes barely open.

Alanis saw Arjuna fall to the floor. Her eyes widened and a scream built in her throat as she watched her beloved, her chosen fall to the floor with a horrible hole in his stomach.

And then she saw it, the necromancer laughing as he raised his staff again over the fallen Arjuna.

It was just like last time when she saw her parents and family on the forest floor with a person standing on top laughing as the person dear to her bleed out.

Something seemed to snap in Alanis. Rage built inside her, vision grew red and a growl emerged from her throat.

"YOU DARE"

She yelled out dropping her bow and arrows walking towards the necromancer and Arjuna. A circle of pure black mana exploded out from her, disintegrating the skeletons nearby. She unsheathed her dagger from her belt, a black flame burned brightly on it.

Her approach soon turned into a sprint as Alanis leaped towards the necromancer with her dagger pointed straight towards the necromancer's head.

[Alanis has been momentarily been granted the power of the wind spirits]

As she leaped towards the necromancer, her dagger which burned angrily with a black flame shifted, a light green color mixed with it. Alanis's eyes also glowed green as she launched towards the necromancer with a loud yell.

The necromancer let out a laugh chanting quickly and raising his staff up. A wall of bones rose from the ground in front of Alanis and the necromancer.

Alanis kept on launching herself towards the necromancer.

A small compressed vortex of fire and wind blew past Alanis colliding with the wall of bones and knocking it down.

Rei lowered her wand, she glared at the necromancer who watched as his defensive barrier collapsed before his eyes.

She didn't know how she was able to pull out a spell like that, she didn't even know the chant for a crazy spell like that, but she just uttered words, and expression of her anger and rage seeing Arjuna on the ground.

Everything was so new to Rei, but she knew that the emotions that she felt were genuine. And the spell that she had just launched was just a part of that.

Alanis launched through the shattered remains of the bone wall her dagger pointed straight at the necromancer's head.

She got within a few meters and she pulled back her hand and thrust as hard as she could.

The necromancer ducked its head and raised its staff defensively.

A huge dust cloud formed as they collided.

A few seconds passed, and the dust cloud slowly settled down. In the middle, the necromancer opened his eyes to see the dagger embedding itself into his staff lodged completely inside it.

The necromancer let out a laugh, but Alanis dropped down and reached with her left hand for another dagger. The dagger instantly flared with darkness and wind mana.

This one connected.

The moment the dagger connected with the necromancer's body, the energies rampaged through it. Making the necromancer yell and scream as his entire body faced the wrath.

Alanis watched as the necromancer yelled and screamed flailing its arms around, mercilessly.

The necromancer fell to the floor impaled, his staff clattered to the floor and his arms and head fell to the floor lifelessly.

Alanis turned around and ran over to attend to Arjuna. Not caring for another second about the being that now lay stone cold on the forest floor.
